there’s really good black food places in LA (soul food , Caribbean etc) Ocho Rios Grill is good in Lawndale. Lee’s Jamaican food in Inglewood. Carolyn’s in Inglewood. Alma’s in Compton. Dulans also in Inglewood. R& Rs in Carson has bomb oxtails. You just have to go to where we(Black people) are at. Which is Compton, Inglewood Carson View Park Ladera Heights etc. and I’m from LA ! not a tourist lol so these are places I go to. My two cents has bomb vegan soul food too!

I'm from the Bahamas with Jamaican mother,and cooking the oxtail with sugar in the pot first, is the authentic way of the carribean, but in America we often use liquid browning. The taste is different. We also wash all of the meats,and rice. I used to wash my ground beef,also ground turkey. I no longer eat meat except some fish. Good cooking mama! Great job!
