it's not an insult but we normally don't say "Black" latina or "White" latina because that refers to race and not skin color which is why people talk about dark skin or light skin. We know that we have both Black and White ancestry but I find that most of us prefer to address ourselves as Hispanics or Latinos. I may look White but I don't call myself a white Hispanic or White for that matter , I just say that i'm Hispanic and for those that can't see me I will describe myself as a light skin Hispanic.
But you act like there is no difference. There is! You are white and your experience is WAY different from that of Afro-Latinos, whom are hidden from mainstream media because of their Black ancestry.

My mom came to America only knowing Spanish she was crazy she did not teach not on us kids Spanish or about her culture this is very embarrassing but I had a bed wetting problem till I was 8 we were staying in Las Vegas in summer I wet my pull-up so my Mom made me stand outside with a soggy pull-up on my head this was hard to think about it

Yes, it would. My sister’s (Mexican/Cuban) boyfriend (Korean-American) learned Spanish to propose to her. There wasn’t any way she said no to that. It was beautiful. I hope she does that for her, if it happens, she would be “bawlin;”

I speak both! One of the reasons I watch her that her contextualization of the Spanish language into English intrigues me. It is SO easy to understand the way she puts it into context. She is truly bilingual, culturally and linguistically! LOVE the cultural aspect of her videos!

Daniel Londoño de hecho en Argentina la población negra es una excepción, realmente hay muy pocos, de hecho yo no conozco ningún Argentino de raza negra. En dónde si hay es en Uruguay. De todas maneras supongo que esto cambiará en unos años porque hay un gran número de inmigrantes africanos que vienen a trabajar vendiendo relojes acá en las calles de buenos aires. Es una comunidad extremadamente cerrada que casi no hablan el español, pero sólo es una cuestión de tiempo.

I swear people here in America are so close minded. They think that people who speak Spanish have to look a certain way so if you look really white or look really black and speak Spanish, they seem confused. Many people here don't understand that hispanic/Latino is NOT a race. People who speak spanish can look super white, tan, super dark, etc. Like people from Spain speak Spanish and they are white Europeans.
