I think the hardcore Klance shippers have hacked my brain because when I actually watched the show I had already heard of it and I didn’t agree they were romantic. Just like a few days ago though I was like “they actually would be cute” and now here I am searching up “Klance” in the TH-cam search button at 11:20pm.

That’s like saying “I’m so tired of people shipping two people together! This girl and this boy aren’t canon so stop fetishing my sexuality! I’m heterosexual and it’s literally nothing special at all.” The show writers said there going to be LGBT+ representation in this show so naturally people wanted to see who might end up with who. And people thought Klance is a great match. Clearly you don’t know much about ships in general (not just the Voltron fandom, every fandom, spreading across every sexuality), people will reach for whatever they ship and they will hold the ship on a pedestal (as you said) because they freaking love the ship. Please don’t take the fact that it’s gay personally. Because really it’s not, it’s someone we see as romantic and as something with chemistry. Don’t use the “as a gay person” card because I know literally dozens of people part of the LGBT+ community who do ship Klance. I agree that yeah, people shouldn’t put the ship before the show cause many people in this fandom do just that. But if they want to ship something who are you to explain why they ship it? Not everyone is reaching for LGBT but we do see a great match between two people. It could be platonic but who knows.

You need to look at the color symbolization remember in the bonding moment seen the color in the background is purple not only is purple used for a romantic scene but it's also the mix of red and blue which are kieth's and lances colors. and in the scene where Lance is tied to a tree the colors in the background are the bi flag and whenever the by flag is there a rainbow always follows that symbolizes LGBT
