I’ve just managed to complete this race in the R8 LMS Evo 19 with TCS on 1, fuel set to 1 and a pit stop at the end of lap 5. Total race time 18:41.467 and I won by 1.121 seconds (second place was a WRX Gr.3). I didn’t get fastest lap, but was around 1:48.1 for my fastest lap. I changed tyres on the pitstop too, ended up coming out after my pit in 6th but managed to sail past most of them through turns 1-5 as I had more grip. Multiple ways to do it but the R8 LMS is definitely a solid option 😎
@@R.SHIELDI always run on hard difficulty for the whole game I just set it there at first and then left it. I forgot to say in my previous comment I use manual transmission though, so not sure if that’s where I’m making up the time. I find the R8 LMS is actually really forgiving, if I was you maybe try on TCS 1. One thing I will say about some of these GT Chilli races is that if you’re not in say the top 5 by the end of the first lap the race becomes almost impossible if you’re fighting through the pack you lose so much time - the first half a lap (or even full lap) I really attack, try and get as many places as I can on the first second and third corners and then settle into a rhythm when I’ve got closer to the front cars.
@@AmericasAlgebraTeacher the thing that annoys me is that the AI take 30 seconds in the pit for both tire and refuel, whilst I take 35 seconds. It's like they're cheating. I had a 5 second lead from 2nd place, and we both went to the pit the same lap....2nd place guy went out faster than I did....WHAT?!?!
Would you say you save time by not doing tyres? If they take an extra 5 seconds to change but you lose 4seconds on each lap it doesn’t seem worth it to not change them as you lose more overall time?
Set TCS on two if you concerned about the tires. I didn’t change tires and had it on TCS two but it was a bit tighter of a race. Had to drive defensively, but I was in first for 80% of the race.
You have to make sure you get the most out of your engine in your rpm meter you can go past the red make sure you know when to shift when your rpms are in it's zone

Thanks for the tip!!
Idk for me it's extremely slow if you make slight mistakes, have you set the difficulty to medium or hard?

@@R.SHIELD its a "chilli pepper" race - so the difficulty settings have no affect if I understand correctly.

Did this first time using this car/method. Passed the Audi R8 just as it was exiting the pits and held lead, won by 0.725.
Must’ve been cheering bro haha it can be painful sometimes

how in the world do you have enough fuel using only fm1? Is it because you are using automatic?
probably got patched?

Try but hard to drive another half race.

I can't figure out why I always get slower on straights in Daytona. Is it because of certain controller settings issue?
I have the same issue. They limit the power on my car and all the AI are more powerful
@@gedgreen2284 I changed traction control from 5 to 2 and everything was much better on all the tracks

I just bought the amg gt3 20 version. Is it possible to win with that car? Did I waste my credits if not?
I almost did it but ran out of fuel
I’m back…
