ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it's true. So what's motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn't an easy time but I won't let fear dictate my life. I didn't think 'why me', there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it's not always smooth sailing. It's true when you hear, 'Life is short', the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It's so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

I feel like Hispanics sing a lot with emotions. That’s what I get when listening to Hispanic people singing. Compared to American/whit singers, I fee like they (American) sing to impress and focus more on making it sound good and Hispanic singers sing to express emotion and in doing so, they project such a powerful energy and naturally sound amazing! That’s my opinion :)

Lilliana7, of course, the 80th version was better, she wrote the song at a time when she was going through an emotional turmoil, when people are in pain that when they write the most amazing songs, this song she wrote it after she discovered that her husband was cheating on her with her best friend! of course, the song will have more power in it! but now this new version, this version is a form of healing for her, she is now in a better state of mind, her hurt heart is now healed, she not in pain anymore, so of course, this version will be less powerful than the original!

This song is from the 80’s you must read the rest of the lyrics lol power , bitter, angry, really great song when you’re trying to get over a heart break lol and her 80’s version I feel is even stronger. Like you said this one is a bit rehearsed.

She is a true diva! the sassy side of her that comes out while on stage is amazing, and i believe singers who feel themselves on stage can get to that level. She sounds better live. I went to one of her concerts and her voice made me shiver. I didn't know her at the time my dad forced me to go and I became a fan of her voice.
This is truly one of the best reactions I've seen so far. I've seen some other videos from other vocal coaches and they didn't show any emotion, but you, lady did feel that emotion running through your skin. That's the same reaction that us Latinos feel when we hear and sing that song.
