Rebecca is a passionate Singer-Songwriter/Vocal coach/mentor /impressionist/photographer/creative junkie /self- development lover not a hater.
“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

And LP's voice is such a stunning instrument, in range and texture, and how playful she is with sound. Personally, I love her pirate ship chest tattoo, and her retro casual style reminds me of James Dean. She's just cool.

She started out singing. Band called Lionfish, 2 solo albums Heart-Shaped Scar & Suburban Sprawl and Alcohol, not as successful as she'd hoped so the next 10 years or so she wrote songs for other singers, then attracted the public's attention again when her song Into the Wild was used in a credit card commercial.

I was hesitant to watch this because I was worried she would shit all over my favorite artist, but I love her reactions! I love seeing someone realize how amazing LP is! She is touching souls all over helping us breakout of our shells. She is raw, sexy, honest and so adorably "matter of fact", like "hey this is me and guess what its okay for you to be you." She is humorous in a non-pretentious way, just a super cool chick! Her voice is so recognizable, too unforgettable and nurtures and invokes authenticity. I feel like I've known her my whole life which is what authentic people make you feel like. She has put an extra skip in my step and has made me want to learn how to whistle! "Welcome to the Age of Aquarius." She fits right i to this paradigm shift and will be part of the positive change in this world.
Her voice with the musical arrangement is masterful.
Filled with rock, western, funk, indie, folk has a great blend.
She used to write for bands like Back Street Boys, etc. Check her cover of Beyonce's "Halo". Blows Beyonce out of the water. She's a genius.

I was at Austin City Limits several years ago and I was walking from one stage to another and I hear this sound that caused me to walk around a rock outcrop to a side stage where she has, luckily it turns out, just started her set. I immediately went to the merch tent and bought the live album from East/West Studios. Her cover of Halo on Live at East/West Studios is amazing...well, that whole show is amazing but I love Halo.

this was the first song I heard by her too. my grandfather played this song in the car in the mountains and I changed my life forever.
I really recommend checking out her live performance of Tokyo, she hits a note that I find unbelievable twice. Once she leads up to it, the next time she doesn't.

I watched another vocalist review this song of hers and I gotta say, I enjoyed yours 100 times better. His was just so negative and nitpicky and boring and I honestly just skipped through every bit of him speaking to see his actual reaction. I loved your review because you were just soaking it in and giving the love and respect that her unique voice clearly deserves and your reaction was truly satisfying to watch. singer songwriter who writes from her soul... not just to please a crowd... not 'vibrato' but emotional induction into the modulation of her expression... a 'techniquey vibrato' is no match for deep personal emotion she's singing-feeling about someone and the way she lets it shake her voice
She didn't say goodbye because she thought the person she was singing to wasn't listening. Thus the question, is that lost on you? And if the message isn't getting through to the other person, what's the point finishing the question, or the song? That ending is 100% of appropriate for what she was singing about...

How did I miss this one? I have seen this performance before but missed your reaction. What a treasure you are. As someone who has struggled with self image and being accepted ... and acceptable... your openness and is inspiring. You have a wonderful, if I dare say sensual and visceral, acceptance of people, NOT JUST the performance but of the people (unless I'm projecting here). Sometimes, no matter how long one has lived, one sometimes finds it hard to let go of inhibition. That is what I love about this performer and Paula Cole as well. I love your confusion at the end, you too are unabashed in your presentation of yourself and the art you love. You DO inspire. Know that you do bring positivity to those who tune in. And I have learned growth is incremental. And all the little bits add up over time.
