Exactly what i was looking for Bosch vs Dyson. Just bought the Bosch. Quieter, double pack replaceable & interchangeable batteries, quicker charge time. Good review, many thanks!
@@ufukerdogan2995 Hi Ufuk, min power definitely is enough. You only need turbo on really rough surfaces like a hard haired wecome matt at the frontdoor. Love that vac more than the Dyson v8 which i use at my girlfriend's house. The Bosch is easier to go around corners and has a much better standard all purpose sucksion mouth that picks up more particles without changing the sucksion peaces all the time like dyson often requires.
Thank you very much for your informative video. Straight to the point, no story telling about your life. It's a Bosch for me. I can't justify spending an extra £200 on a noisier vacuum cleaner which has a shorter battery life just because of the product name. Thanks
Now after a few weeks of owning my Bosch Unlimited, I'm back to report on it. I love it! I have it hanging and fully charged in my storage room. When I find crumbs or dirt on the floor, it's super convenient to grab, clean and put back. The one thing is that the dirt holder is small so you'll be emptying it a lot. But still, I don't find it worth 250 euros more to spend to get the Dyson.
Thanks for the video. Interesting to see the run time. I would have assumed the stated run time by the manufacturer would be on full power. Good to know the actual run time.
is that a felt floor? because it seems like the Dyson actually managed to give that floor a 'deep' cleaning, compared to the Bosch. I belive that the true difference between these two is the research and the effectiveness in the rollerhead. One thing that I wonder is how much dust can the filter take before the suction power gets really affected.... Or how often do you need to change/clean the filter, so you don't lose power?
They are floor tiles that we have but the carpet is very wirey. You are correct that the research on top end vacuums goes into the floorhead, as they don't rely on the suction for pickup. You will find that the filters especially on the dyson can clog up pretty easily, especially if you are vacuuming a dusty area. We would normally recommend washing the filter once a month, and ideally replacing as soon as the filter looks like it is starting to wear out.

Just the video I was looking for. Amazing real world review. I bought the Bosch unlimited BCS122GB. Still think that a corded vacuum cleaner is stronger, but this is an amazing product. Portable, strong, not too loud and with 2 batteries. Clear winner! Oh and much cheaper than the Dyson.
Good to know. I just bought the Bosch Unlimited. I didn't find enough benefit to justify the price of the Dyson. The retail price was 350€ for the Bosch vs 600€ for the Dyson.
I can't understand why the two vacuum cleaners were not compared on their lower suction settings? In another review I've read that the Bosch is not very effective on its standard suction setting. That could give the Dyson the edge.
I've got the Bosch for almost a year now and I'm very satisfied with the suction, if the filth is to heavy for the normal mode then the turbo mode will pick it up.
Thanks I whill go for Bosch ,,they have warranty 3-5 years ...dyson are many for sale on eBay and many are refurbished,,,this means short life on dyson

Perfect review. I need to choose between Dyson V8 and Bosh Serie 8. According to your video, I should go for Bosh, BUT...problem is in fact that I have no idea which model from serie 8 to choose. I am aware that it is same cleaner, but unable to discover differences in additional stuff available, since descriptions for different Bosh models are not clear. For example, BCS122GB from your video is not available in my country. I have next options: BBS1ZOO BBS812PCK BSS81POW BSS81PET BBS811PCK BCS81EXC Difference in price (between cheapest and most expensive) is almost 180 euros. I am aware that some models come with 2 batteries, some models with just one, other one have fast charger, other have slow charger. Simply.....I have problem to decide. Even more....local Bosh support does not have idea to give proper answer about differences between those models. It is pain in the ass to decide, really. On the other hand, Dyson make it way more simpler. It is more than clear what are the differences between V8 motorhead/animal/absolute.
I've always wondered which vacuum I should get when I need to empty a bowl of uncooked rice. Lol. What you need to do is take these home with you and see which one cleans up the sock fluff, hair and trodden in dirt from a standard domestic carpet. I never get review videos, they never ever reflect real world usage. But thanks for sharing nonetheless.
Thanks....really helpful...i have been leaning towards the bosch but the salesman pitch was that the dyson motor does not weaken over time as small dust particles do not enter the motor (???)...basically that was becuz of the cyclone design... also the battery on the dyson diff from v8 and earlier models is supposed to last more than 15 years....not sure about both these claims but having the spare batt with the bosch seems to be a huge advantage...any thoughts?....the sales guy did a baking powder vacuum test that he says the bosch n other handhelds will struggle as thw particles are really small...
Amhakim Ha I’ve had a Bosch Athlet for 2 years and had at least 4 engineer call outs. Also the filter gets caked in dust almost after each use. I’ve now changed to the Dyson V10 after seeing how clean the filter was after a month of use in another video. Also the fluffy head on hard floors on the Dyson is a game changer really. I picked up this Bosch in the shop and the weight is very awkward compared to the Dyson. Can’t see how it can compete at all really! Do you really want to vacuum continuously? The question is is it enough for a single session - I rarely spend more than 10 mins on a single vacuuming task then I have other things to do!
Having owned an earlier Dyson DC44 for several years, I'm reluctant to buy another Dyson cordless. The motor quickly overheated in use (finally died completely yesterday) and I hated the trigger operation and cheap plastic casing. But on the other hand the filtering was pretty good and it had decent suction when it was actually working and not cutting out with heat. Now considering the new Bosch vs Dyson and leaning toward Bosch for quality. Maybe the latest Dyson models have improved, but not sure I want to give them another £400+
Well, does Bosch have fully sealed system? HEPA filtration? extra head possibilities for different floor types and or work loads such as a Soft Roller for bigger debris or Vinyl Parquet , or Hose for let's say easier cleaning in car interior? or how about raw power that is needed for carpet deep clean, sure it has twice as much battery life on high, but I would like to see in AW or CFM the difference .. also that test with the bowl of rice? rly? a narrow longer crevice tool vs a very short and wide hole (as a "crevice tool" for Bosch .. :D ) Not rly the best comparison .. if I want to be honest, Bosch is closer to a Philips Speed Pro imo
I must admit i haven't tried the Xiaomi so not really fair for me to say which is better. Some of the lesser known brands can actually be really good compared to some of the "known" brands like Bosch or Dyson

About the first test, with the rice...in your video, Bosch had a smaller nozzle. We do not need to know much physics to realize there must be a difference. Try to drink from a glass of water with a short straw and with a long straw and you will see which one is faster. It is common sense. So, that example is not relevant or fair. Even the time difference between them is only of 1 second.
I was thinking that too. Didn't look anything like a "crevice tool" in the video. Would have been good to see the Bosch crevice tool as that's what I use most with my current cordless vac (older Dyson model). The fact that the Bosch had a larger diameter inlet tube probably gave it an advantage in the rice sucking test vs Dyson crevice tool.
They use the P range (DIY) batteries and are available up to 6Ah. The industrial 18v batteries have a slightly different mount. We got a Dyson and the battery died very quickly after a year.
