Nice honest video. I recognise the location and your accent..
Dont let the kernow nimbys get under your skin.
Keep going for your gilty pleasure. And
If youre getting crabbed up then try a pop up bait to keep it above their heads and claws.

Great video as always and a lot of us are becoming "hooked" on watching this gilt mission. As "Reefnreefer" said try hardback crabs from the shore and don't be afraid to cut the larger ones in half.

Hard back shore crabs are the bait for the Cornish estuaries.
Pick 'em at low, save money & catch large.

When the bream are moving, the crabs will disappear PDQ. When they go quiet, be ready.

I'm using size 4 carp hooks with mussels I didn't think they would work with the crab mate do you think they will I've just been to dig some lug for another go.... Do you think I could use 2 size 4 carp hooks on a lug worm pennel style? Cheers for your comment mate much appreciated 👍

I use kamazan 2/0 short shanks with a whole crab.. hardback or peeler.
Had one 3.12 yesterday.. one bite , one fish.
If you've not had any and just want to catch your 1st use lug, its fine for the smaller ones.
You can dig just on your right hand side on the sand bank..

No no no! A bream of 4 of five lb has a big ol' mouth. Size 1/0. Crab or circle hook.
Nobody wants to catch pasty size.

@reefnreefer I'm only going off my experience in Poole Harbour. Big baits I couldn't hook them. Scaled down to small hooks and baits then I started landing the bites

He's still publicising our local places on the Internet just to get a few likes...
If you really cared about Kernow ,our beautiful under pressure special places ,you would do the right thing ,..
Carry on enjoying your fishing ,and keep it to yourself ,like 99% of proper local people do..

@@CornishFishingTales-dc4rwThat's right,no one owns the earth, however we all have a duty to look after these quiet ,special places off the beaten track ,your not doing that ,soon there will be litter, line, evidence of BBQS, human excrement ,because of publicity ,...you have to look inside ,...is that what you want for 5 mins of TH-cam..?

@@charlenecampbell3950your right, thing is looking at the bigger overall picture ,it's very sad that in general TH-cam is responsible for so much damage,I'm a bushcrafter, angler and wild camper,I tell zero,no one ,nada, where I go...there is a reason for that,I care deeply about the countryside ,and the damage which is irreversible..duevto.over exposure....and yes lol, matey is deffo in the wrong places..
As an edit i was taught to leave only footprints, and don't even leave them, take only pictures, leave no trace ......TH-cam leaves its mark !
