It a mine field and looking at all the advice I’m definitely going to need long kayak pretty wide for stability I’m 6’4 18stone so if I’m going to really take it up as a extension to fishing which has been my ambition since moving here I need to make the right choice plus it means saving my butt off so plan to get something cheap second hand off market place just to get used to being on the water this year and then go for decent kit next year once I’ve put some savings by been watching a lot of kayak fishing Cornwalls stuff he’s said the same advice to me go check out Cornwall Canoes which I will cheers bud still hoping to get out with you at some point this year maybe you could reach me to catch a bass or two

@Lloydusmarinus yeah I think so mate there was loads of them in the washed up weed at high tide line the bass were.coming in at high tide to feed on them with lots of mullet too and that's mad I'm gonna be trying to work out how a bass can get into cockels all night now lol tight lines bro

Definitely do where you find sand fleas bass mostly smaller sizes are nearby, big bass look where the mullet or mackerel are its much slower fishing but. Tightlines for 2025

@darrenwillams3252 ha we noticed loads of mullet too the sneaky bass hide in them I think to ambush the smaller fish in the shoal tight lines too bro I hope 2025 is the year of abundance for you

Hey mate yeah o got a shimano vanford and not had a wind knot on it the penns are a pain for that but if you don't fill them right up they work way better I just use the Penn for kayak and times when the reel might get proper wet lol and yeah I got studs in my boots I did a video on it a while ago check it out . @CJL2008 yeah it was kinda my fault this time though I got caught on bottom in kayak and the drift got me in a right pickle end snapped off the end 😳 however the rod always felt fragile I was afraid of it since I bought it my Penn conflict doesn't feel nearly as fragile and has never broken my fault or not . I think j ill take your advice here and stick with a brand that has done rods for an age like daiwa or shimano

@CJL2008 cheers mate 👍 the vanford is the bollo№, yeah the sgs got sorted shortly after they wipped new eyes on betrer than new but dunc and me had an accident.... to cut it short and then I bust the bloody thing last time I went on kayak I seem to be cursed with that rod lol onwards and upwards as they say 😀
