This was the saddest thing I've ever gone through in a videogame in my entire life. Lisa was genuinely good person/character that died a miserable death because she was caught up on something not related with her.
Out of all the characters, Lisais the one who epitomizes the SH theme most, I think. It's a theme of suffering and personal hell. She was forced to care for Alessa in that decrepit basement in life, suffering the guilt and possible drug withdrawals. Even in death she finds no peace, as she wanders the hospital ignorant of her own demise. Even in her last moments she is robbed of her one comfort, in the form of Harry, who coldly and abruptly shut the door on her rotting form.
Yeah, the contrasting pain of a genuine nurse being one of the most empathetic and nurturing sort of people, to the miserable things she was subjected to... oof.
100%. And her story per SH1 when she was deliberately lured into drug addiction by Kauffman, which used her for Alessa's caring, as well as his own perverted desires. Very tragic character. I wish one day in the SH1 remake they would add a happy ending for her and Harry.
How they made such beautiful and delicate music for a game this macabre and dark will always amaze me. Horror themes don't usually sound like this. Not with this much emotional baggage. Team Silent was one of a kind.

Yes, I finally found it. After searching for ages I’ve finally found it. It’s so beautiful, this version. I remember these emotional yet happy moments in creepypasta videos by Mrcreepypasta and CreepsMcpasta and hearing this playing in the background. I would’ve never guessed it was from Silent Hill. It brings me so much joy to hear it.

There's one acception in SH2 the little girl laura she never see's the monsters or the other world she doesnt even see Maria she is the only innocent person in SH2 and as such is left alone

What make Lisa's transformation make more effective it the music it fill with sorrow and familiarity while in most horror stuff they add music like pitched shrieking and dissonant sound.
