Incredible tour, thank you! Loved how you took your time, no music, and you spoke softly. Much appreciated. You showed everything and I actually felt I was there, AMAZING! New sub!!!!
I'm a history buff while I like to walk in the steps of the past... This is amazing.. You done a great job. Now I want to see for myself. Just heard of this place over the past summer... Will be there soon.
I watched this with great interest. One of your best explorations to date. I paused at the information markers and was thankful that you captured the statements for many of the areas. The artifacts on the tree log had me guessing and wondering also. I never knew the beauty and offerings of Rose Island until now. Thanks so much for sharing another adventure. Stay safe out there, Rob!
Glad you liked it! The info and personal accounts on the signs do really add to the experience. It gives you a little glimpse of what if would have been like back then.
Very cool....though I live in the area I have never been to Rose Island and have always wanted to go check it out, so thank you for posting this, it was very interesting!
bet if you went to the Louisville downtown library they may have a map and old photos of the park that you could add to your programs. It was still pretty cool. thx
There's also an old Indian Fortress that used to be on that island on What's called the Devil's Backbone supposedly The Fortress was demolished when the settlers came here and the big stones work quarried for foundations in Jeffersonville
I appreciate your narration style. You speak quietly and with the reverence that places that have fallen to ruin deserve. Thank you for a lovely tour.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😊

That may have been the Pump House.
Rainbow Energies
Yep its the pump and filter house
Do you think the metal "grate" in the first video could be part of the gate to the entrance?

That bowl wasn't made in China it's from the Syracuse China company founded in 1871
I bet there are silver coins all over that place.
