I tried to make people believe I was “just like them” so I would act less educated or not dress my best to get people to like me. It made me really depressed because I wasn’t being true to myself. When I look back at it, I cringe 😬 you can’t control how people see you or feel about you. 😅 I’m a reformed people pleaser now

Wow , so glad I found this channel . I do pretty much the same thing . This is eye opening for me . I struggle with accepting my challenges . Legally blind and Single sided deafness kind of makes it difficult to be around a large group so I have stayed to myself so that I won’t have to ask people to repeat themselves . I am now learning to stop worrying about taking up space and giving grace to me.
Culture clashes from the east and west for modern western Asian young people causes that humility and modesty to dim our light. Through that healing and prioritising of our personal integrity authenticity and structure of morals ethics and values we become out super power which is best for everyone
