I wish this had a feature where you could assign 10 or 20 quick click buttons that you could assign to a directory
So, as you go through the directory each photo cones up one at a time, and you cluck the button for the directory you want to send it to
    So for instance the buttons:
    1-Grand Canyon Sept 2013
    ( c:\sort\trips\GC-sept-2013 )
    2-RV Repair Sept-6-2013
    ( C:\sort\RV\Repairs\Sept-6-2013)
    3-
    Etc.....
So you could easily see the photo and click the quick button on the screen that the photo belongs in and it would copy the photo to the folder or move it and delete from the current directory
This would seem like a critical feature
I tried to sign up on the fourm on the website but it doesn't allow me to post and has not sent a confirmation email
It would not accept a Hotmail account, so I used my primary isp account but it is not allowing me to post a question or subscribe to the fourm category
    Not sure why
If there is a program that has this feature I need, please let me know what program has it.
    Thanks
    Bill

Well Irfran View does have a feature similar to what you describe. In the File, menu there is the Slide feature which may do most the things you are looking for. Thanks for watching. Take care.

@@dennisray3235I still have not received an email from Irfanview to confirm my subscription, so I can't post in the forum, but I found an old thread in support where someone is talking about F7 function. It sounds like they were able to press F7 and they get an option to move or copy the image to another directory, but I don't know if there is just 1 option, or if you can create multiple clickable buttons for different directory destinations. I know there is a technical name for a clickable button, like when you get a prompt with an OK button or a CANCEL button, those buttons have a technical name that programmers use. They don't call them buttons. I wish I knew that technical name because saying buttons makes it confusing, like people think that I literally mean a keyboard button, like F7, but I mean the mouse click button on the screen. I have sent an email to support for my registration. I don't know why the site doesn't send me a confirmation email to confirm my account.

I just realized that I've been using this program for almost 20 years! So i thought I'd check the tubes to see if anyone has even heard of it, and.... The answer is pretty much a "no." Lol

Actually Irfan Viewer is very well known as a program that is stable and reliable. The website even says it is well known: www.irfanview.com/. I've looked at other image viewers and really have not found any better ones. Thanks for watching and take care.

Because when you enlarge a part of a photo, this part is blurry, how can you make it not blurry?

You could try Sharpen under Image in the menu. Hope it works for you.

I've scanned a 30ftoot long image and I want to shift it slightly to the left. In Paint you can select the top left and then the bottom right corner to select everything then select the image and move it. The file is too large for paint (.tiff file), how do I do it in Irfanview without having to drag the mouse from the top to the bottom, my computer is too slow to scroll threw the pages. Thanks

You may need to use a different image editor. I use Paint.net when nothing else works. It is free, and you can get it at: www.getpaint.net/. Thanks for watching and take care.

Is there a way of having all your camera settings displayed as you open images for viewing , like your F stop and stuff so you can compare camera settings to picture results ? tks...

Yes that is possible. See this article: photosforeveryone.quora.com/Irfanview-lets-you-show-the-settings-you-used-on-each-photo-If-your-camera-records-EXIF-values-Irfanview-lets-you-s. Thanks for watching.

Windows used to have a great viewer, you could get rid of red eye, you could brighten or darken the image, but they took it out and even this one you can't brighten the image, which was my purpose of getting it. :( This is as useless as the one windows now puts out.

    • @dennisray3235
      @dennisray3235  2 ปีที่แล้ว

If you go to the Image menu there is Red Eye Reduction selection, also under the Image menu there is Color Corrections selection which has a brightness scale to brighten or darken an image. Hopefully this was helpful. Thank you for watching.

Hi how do you add a image on top of another image and save ?

    • @dennisray3235

I believe you are talking about layering, which Irfanview can't do. A great free program that can do that is GIMP, you can read about it and download it at: www.gimp.org. Thanks for watching. Take care.

Good question. You can see the answer at: discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?154593-Irfanview-more-than-one-image-on-a-page. See DuaneB's answer.
