    Worth noting that even though the website only says "large umbrellas" are not allowed, our small (purse-size) umbrella was not allowed in and we had to discard it.

    For me it was a lovely bucket list opportunity…. and ticked all the boxes bar one which was that the seats were quite small. 6ft tall guy next to me was pretty cramped. Having said that, the Co op Live arena was well manned for assistance staff. Co op concessions were well equipped food wise and well priced. Some other concessions were selling chicken burger baps for £12.50 with flavoured fries a further £5.50.

      Thank you for your comment. You were right the prices inside were reasonable for arena prices. I just wish there were more food options on the third floor. Please you had a great time 👍

    Could you advise what the security procedure involved please - we have some metal body parts. Are there body scanners or is it standard detector wands and pat downs?

    • @icanseethestagefromhere
      @icanseethestagefromhere  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was like a security gate and then a wand search after if it detected anything. It was quite quick.

    Parking at Ashton Moss Park & Ride or Droylsden Centre is a no brainer. Both on the tram line.

      Most arenas are the same in respect of food cost. It’s great you had a fantastic night 👍

    I work here. Always curious as to peoples/customers opinions of the place

      It was OK, the best thing about it was the sound, the worst thing about it was the car park afterwards.
      It’s a shame there’s not more round it as it’s nice to have somewhere to go before the doors open. It would have also been nicer if there was a bit more choice of food on the top level as it was a bit awkward having to go all the way to the ground floor.
      Thank you for taking the time to comment 👍

    I’ve done big gigs, I shy away from them these days. I couldn’t do the gods now I get vertigo! Is it worth it?

    • @icanseethestagefromhere
      @icanseethestagefromhere  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The reason why we were up in the gods was that the ticket prices were more reasonable up there, I can’t bring myself to pay £150+ for a ticket when that can get you ten gigs at the grassroots level.
      In terms of was it worth it, I’d say yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the Doobie Brothers, and it was good to see the Eagles, although I’ve got to say that their performance was far too perfect in most of the gig. On balance I’m pleased I was there. 👍

      @@icanseethestagefromhere yea, the price of some of those gigs is eye watering. Now I’d rather spend my money locally .
      Hmm yea, I saw a video that wings of Pegasus did, he did a comparison from two gigs and they were a little too perfect!

      @andreasmith8204 I’ve seen the same video.
      The Doobie Brothers were working really hard. And their sound had an energy about it, where the Eagles just sounded perfect, but seemed to lack that energy about it.

      @andreasmith8204 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@icanseethestagefromhere yea, I don’t want the sound to be perfect, although I want it to be good, I want it to be of the moment, and that’s not always perfect. But it’s unique to that performance and I want that uniqueness!

    There's a good reason The Eagles don't want people recording. Think it's because they don't sing live on some tracks and don't want to be found out

    You can walk into the centre of Manchester in 15 mins it's not that far at all

    • @icanseethestagefromhere
      @icanseethestagefromhere  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve just googled it and it suggests it’s 25 minute walk from the City Centre which is still a reasonable distance, and away from City Centre facilities.

    Terrible venue been twice now never again.

    • @icanseethestagefromhere
      @icanseethestagefromhere  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it could be a lot better than what it is, but I wouldn’t call it terrible, there’s just nothing round it and the traffic management lets it down. As modern arenas go my favourite one is Leeds AO arena, it’s just a great design in a great location.
      Do you normally like arenas or do you prefer smaller venues?
