    "Who can sail without wind,
    who can row without oars,
who can separate from his friend,
    without shedding tears?"
2nd verse which she does not sing:
    "I can sail without wind,
    I can row without oars,
but not separate from my friend,
    without shedding tears"

Actually she sang the second verse right?

    • @Einyen
      @Einyen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

@@shabanamzakheerhussain1958 well it seems to be a mix between 1st and 2nd verse. The text in Swedish is:
      Vem kan segla förutan vind,
      vem kan ro utan åror,
vem kan skiljas från vännen sin
      utan att fälla tårar?
      Jag kan segla förutan vind,
      jag kan ro utan åror,
men ej skiljas från vännen min
      utan att fälla tårar.
It sounds like she sings "Kem" instead of "Vem" (who) in the 2 first lines, I'm not sure what she actually sings or what "Kem" means, if it is a norwegian word I do not know, but she definitely does not sing "Jag" ( I ).
This is what I hear, but my hearing is not super good:
      "Kem" kan segla förutan vind,
"Kem" kan ro utan årer ("årer" norwegian for "åror")
men ej segla från vännen sin ("segla" (sail) instead of "skiljas" (seperate), "men" (but) from verse 2 but "sin" (his) from verse 1)
utan att fälla en tåra. ("en tåra" (a tear) instead of "tårar" (tears))
Anyway too much analyzing, it is still beautiful :-) and she can sing whatever she wants.

@@Einyen You may have noticed there are many words in Norwegian Bokmål and Danish that begin with "hv", like "hvem", "hvor", etc. Swedish had these h'es as well, but they were removed in a spelling reform. In general, in western Norwegian dialects, "hv" words have changed to "k" or "kv". The details vary from place to place, and here in Bergen we say "kem" ("vem" in Swedish), "kor" ("var" or "vart" in Swedish), "korfor" ("varför"). I hope that explains it, and can help a bit in understanding western dialects in the future.

This very meaningful song reminds me of my joung years when I was just 20 and decided to attend out of fun a ' Svenska språkkurs' ' at Heidelberg University, Gernany.
The amazing and humorous Swedish teacher was Miss Astrid Lindström , a middle-aged woman from Uleå, who was very good at introducing the Swedish language and culture to all of us students.
We have lerned this beautiful song in the very first days we attended her classes.
P.S.: I am now very proud when I order at Ikea's ' Kötbullar' using the correct Swedish pronunciation of this word...
    (Schötbüllar)...😂
Tack så mycket för det, Miss Lindström!

Denne vuggesangen betyr mye for meg.
This lullaby means a lot to me. My grandmother and grandfather lived in Norway and I live in Sweden. I am half Norwegian. When I visited, they always sang that lullaby to me and my brother. But after a while my grandfather got cancer and died. That's when my grandmother stopped singing. Now for the first time in 6 years I heard this lullaby again by my favorite artist. I'm crying🥹 Thank you Aurora!❤️

    Couplets religieux :
Qui peut tout laisser, tout donner,
Et Le suivre pour se sauver,
Et qui peut quitter son ami
    Sans verser de larmes ?
Je peux tout laisser, tout donner,
Et Le suivre pour me sauver,

      Hvem, kven, kem, ken
      Hva, kva, ka, å
      Hvor, kor, hen (er)
      Når, kva/ka/å (tid)
      Hvordan, korleis, kossen, åssen
      Hvorfor, kvifor, ko(r)for, åffer
      Hvilken, kva/ka/å (for)
