I tell you what, Maccas has some pretty amazing bacon for a fast food place. I advise everyone to add it to big macs, quarter pounders, whatever, it will make it better!
Using their terminals you can add tons of veggies and sauces for free. Also you can always get free water with your orders. Their water is cleaner than your store bought bottled water.
If you have Burger King in your area, try their Bacon Lover's Whopper. Time-after-time in the U.S., McDonald's is near the bottom or at the bottom of adult burger taste tests.
Could be worse - I got a 'tendercrisp baconator' a few days ago. No bacon, no cheese. Just an old chicken patty (which crumbled when I unwrapped it) with a tiny bit of lettuce and a 20c size piece of tomato. Oh, and a tiny bit of mayo.

Grego, I think you need to adjust your expectations for the bacon on these burgers. Most burgers don't have bacon on them in these restaurants to begin with. Say what you will about that, though. Edit: I must admit it'd make way more sense for it to be loaded with bacon! Haha
