Hey Daniela thanks for the review and by the way diving in w/ Daniela sounds catchy 😊 Question: what neighborhoods would you recommend for a newbie moving to DC wanting to be close to everything, also safety and no car? Also, when you mentioned people being really driven and like talking politics was this friends/colleagues working for the govt? Or private sector? This is something I wonder about as well, as I'm looking for a city with lots of opportunities but also need something more laid back as I'll be coming from lovely Prague in EU And where to next?
Hey there! I’d recommend Logan Circle or DuPont Circle for a newbie! Both are very safe, lively, and have great public transit. To be near most metro lines, I’d say Logan circle takes the cake. Mt. Vernon and Shaw are also great! Honestly I’d say people are like that across both private and public! It’s because DC in general draws a lot of book smart-smarty pants relative to other US cities I’d say. But regardless, you will find your group!! And not everyone is that way by any means :) I’ve been to Prague and I think DC is a great city to go to next! Just not nearly as beautiful
