Dream is and will forever be the king of explorable areas and visuals in any M&L game, not only that, but it has the best mechanic out of any M&L game imo, and its great to see Luigi not just be Mario's sidekick, the bro moves are extremely flashy and the music of the game is also some of the best in the series.

I like Dream Team the most. Especially when Luigi plays a very major role rather than only Mario's sidekick. That Lugi has the courage to face Bowser directly is really amazing.

One of the things I love about Mario and luigi series is. 98% of the game is fun lighthearted music 2% world ending music. The contrast always makes those moments more intense for me :D

mario and luigi bowser’s inside story was such an amazing game it will always be one of my favorite games of all time, i remember staying up all night trying and finally succeeding defeating dark bowser for the first time and i just remember feeling accomplished
M&L final bosses are always really hard, and beating them always feels like a proper test of your skills

I have never played any of the older M&L games but I love the original Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story just because of the sprite art and older music. (I have the remake of BIS and I have not even reached the final boss)

If you were a part of this era, dont be sad that its gone, be happy that it happened. The near twenty years of these games existing was some of the greatest times of my life, from its inception with Superstar Saga and being able to control two different versions of Mario & Luigi in Partners in Time, to being able to play as Bowser of all characters in Bowser’s Inside Story, and Luigi finally getting the spotlight he deserved in Dream Team, and the Paper universe finally crossing over with the regular one and Mario meeting Mario in Paper Jam. Even if the series never sees a revival, it was some of the best entry of games the mario series, and i daresay even Nintendo as a whole, ever had
Popple & Rookie DX is easily the perfect example of stepping up your game music. From like 4-5 sounds at a time, you now get a whole orchestral dj/piano style theme that perfectly embodied the mischief the duo would be up to during a fight!

Dream team was my first m&l game and the boss themes are still stuck with me even 8 years after I first played it. I honestly love what they were going for, with the more "impending doom" vibe that is constantly present in this game, and oh boy does it pairs well with the bosses, since the one in dream team are particularly harder than any other mario boss

I remember I just kept beating bowser up over and over again because I was like level 50
It’s a nice song despite the noticeably lower quality samples for the sounds used. Wouldn’t recommend the game itself though, the main gameplay loop is literally the same exact thing over and over with little variance besides the bare minimum

i swear bowser's inside story's soundtrack was a masterpiece, favorite song from that game is probably plack beach (inside bowser)
Place beach is the perfect balance between adventurous and relaxed, severely underrated

i listen to the mario and luigi soundracks to do homework, i never really played the games but the music helps me focus, but when i heard the soundrack of mario and luigi bowser inside story all the memories came back, that's the only game i played and i honestly love it, i don't know anything of the others but seeing the comments i'm glad that BiS is one of the favorites. Probably an uncommon pick but my favorite has gotta be Victory in the Dream World, really beautiful composure and the general vibe of the song is so nostalgic and reminds me of simpler times, the song genuinely brings me to tears and puts a stupidly wide grin on my face almost every time I listen to it, the chorus in particular is really great
However, since everyone else seems to be picking a more intense theme for their favorite, I'll say a very close second is Final Antasma Battle, not only was it my personal favorite boss battle in the game, but the song really adds to the epic feeling of it, really gives you the feeling like you're fighting this ancient, near unstoppable abomination that will pretty much end the world if you fail, I so vividly remember my 13 year old heart exploding out of my chest and the feeling of intense joy and disbelief when I beat Antasma for the first time

The Bowser's Minions side mode is extremely underrated.
Sure, the battle system wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but the Captains themselves are great characters with a lot of funny memorable moments in cutscenes.
They should've made it in the style of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

My first game was Dream Team. I specifically remember because i beat the demo more than 30 times and after the demo was done, i begged my parents to buy me the real deal. And i got it, and i never felt that excited to a new game! It must have been, the only time i actually was super excited over a game. Most games…. Eh. Even with the games i wanted, nothing will ever beat dream team.
