Correction: Based on the new info in Scream (2022), we can assume that the second Woodsboro Murders (Scre4m) took place in 2011 (not 2010), because Sam Carpenter in the fifth movie says that it took place 10 years ago.
Now it would be 2012 since Scream 6 fucked up the timeline, but I always thought it took place in 2011 because Gale says her and Dewey have been married for 10 years, Dewey proposed in 2000, he married her in 2001.

@Unknown. So the rules of a Requel would be 1. Anyone could come back 2. The killers have similar motives as past killers 3. Anyone could die 4. The killers are obvious
I always assumed Phil and Moureen in Scream 2 got the free tickets from Mickie or Debbie, not from Phil's father who works for sunrise. Like how in I still know what you did last summer they "won" a free trip. It was all about the killer(s) getting the victims to the settings they've chosen.
Unless CZ is getting info from a source not mentioned I think that's most likely, since otherwise it'd be a hell of a coincidence for the exact victims they need to be present at the premiere, and it's clear the only reason they went is because the tickets were free. Mickey as a film student could have probably swung a few tickets to opening night and given them away to a buddy (Phil)
I'm pretty sure Mickey Altieri was the one who gave Maureen and Phil the tickets. They go to the same college, and they have the same classes together, and Mickey takes film theory class. Pretty sure Nancy (Debbie Salt) was the one who gave Mickey the tickets to give to Phil and Maureen. You can see at the end of Scream 2, when Dewey and Gale are in the theater making out on the stage, they see the tv playing recordings of people from afar before they're killed. One video being Randy talking on the phone with ghostface before he is yanked in the van and killed, which was by Nancy, for a split second, you can see somebody filming Phil and Maureen walking into the theater, before it cuts to a live recording from someone in the audio room. Obviously from the wound on Mickey's head, we see that he was the one who wrecked the cop car and attacked Sidney and Hallie. So that means, Nancy Loomis was the one chasing Gale and Dewey in the theater, which would also be the one who was filming in the van before killing Randy, and that means she was recording everything from the beginning. Also if she's a news reporter, she has access to a camera and nobody questioning it. Phil and Maureen walking into the theater was recorded by Mickey, watching them as they walk in, that way he knew when to walk in and, obviously since it's about "stab", he can wear a ghostface costume and walk into the bathroom without anyone questioning him. They each record the person they atrack before attacking them. Mickey recording Phil and Maureen and then walks in the theater. Nancy videoing Randy from the van, and then killing him, and then the live recording of Gale and Dewey before they got chased down and attacked, but of course it wasn't Mickey because he was attacking Sidney and Hallie in the cop car, at the same time Dewey and Gale were attacked in the theater. And the wound on Mickey's head makes it obvious that he was the one who attacked Sidney and Hallie. Which only leave me to believe, that he gave free movie tickets to Phil and Maureen
If Gale saved Sidney in 1, and Cotton in 2, shouldn’t have Vince been the “person we thought we hated isn’t so bad” person that should have saved the day in part 5. Just a thought. I loved when Gale and Cotton came out of nowhere to show that they had bigger hearts than we thought and it would have been cool if we got something like that in the newer chapters.
Those two were the most clear examples, I’d say Mark Kincaid was that in 3, Judy was that in 4 and Tara/Sam were kind of that in 5 (they had suspicion placed on them but were good all the way through). Not that Judy and Mark were the most clear suspects but there was some distrust. Liv from 5 also counts, though she’s more like Derek.
I'm pretty sure Samantha Carpenter fills this Niche in the newer movies. She is the one every keeps assuming is the killer when she is actually the hero. Scream 5 had everyone thinking she was the one masterminding everything. Scream 6 had the general public being under the impression Sam got away with murder. Its almost exactly like Cotton Weary's storyline. Falsely accused and turned into a celebrity/public enemy due to his/her relationship with Maureen/Billy.

I can't remember where I saw it, but a recent youtube video (possibly Beyond the Mask) about the Scream movies did mention that they filmed the entire Casey sequence with Heather Graham and it is indeed sitting somewhere. So there is a full version of the Casey "Stab Movie" opening sequence.
It was a good moment in scream 5 to see Gale remorseful over the Stab franchise even blaming herself for it but Syd reminded her that Billy and more so all the killers made their choices. She wasn't responsible for them anymore than she was.
I really like how you explain these because for a second I thought this was all real 😂 like the way you describe the history, the people, their affairs problems etc.. sounds so real forgot this was a movie 😂
Great video as always! Although I will note that Billy's mom is possibly, actually named Nancy Loomis (at least that was her name in the script for Scream 4). Debbie Salt was only her alias. It seemed to be an homage to Nancy Loomis/Kyes who played Annie Brackett in Halloween.
Watching this was kinda crazy if “stab” was actually made a movie on real events not just in a movie, I’m surprised they didn’t touch base on how Sidney felt about random people wearing the ghost face mask if I was in her position I would have a hell ton of ptsd seeing people wear the mask of my ex boyfriend-serial killer-dude that killed my mother. Also seeing some sort of rage with producers exploiting her case. Idk maybe I’m overthinking lmao with the new movie it was nice seeing billy in the newest scream though I am personally not the biggest fan of the new scream.

14:04 You got that right! Nobody wants to be advertised to while they're in the middle of watching something! Examples of such annoyances include: Trainwell, PDS Debt, Better Help, and Audible.
I always thought Gale was supposed to be starring as herself in the first stab film. Jennifer states "after 2 films in part but I interpreted that to be stab2 and stab3... being Randy comments in Scream 2 ".. soon to be a Major motion picture starring...Gale Weathers." Scream 5 goes the narrative of Gale not being in any of the Stab movies which means Randy's line in part 2 is to be interpreted as sarcasm but it still fits with the history that way. I just always liked the idea that Gale was so vain she'd have chosen to play herself in the film adaptation of her book.
Just a tiny correction. The events on scream 2 were set in 1998. Although the movie was released in 1996. There is a 2 years gap between the first event and the second one. I love your videos, keep up with this amazing work.
Why'd they take out Red Right Hand from the intro to Stab? :( Love how Scream 4 does predict Scream 5 'There's no element of surprise, you can see everything coming'.
It's kinda messed up how in the Scream world, producers will make a movie based on recent real life tragedies for profit. Good thing the movie industry isn't that messed up in reality! Wait a minute-
Thank you CZ I'm super sick 😫 🤒 😷 🤧 🤢 🤮 laying in bed and hearing my bell notification and seeing a new video from makes me hella happy! I may be sick but I still show up to horror history class, I'll see you next time assuming we both survive.
13:27 apparently Scream 4 had a lot of issues when it came to the soundtrack. A Black Veil Brides song (I'm pretty sure it was Set the World on Fire) was supposed to be featured in the movie, BVB did an interview saying so a while back (I can't remember which one otherwise I'd link it...) but, as we all know it never was. I was really disappointed about it tbh.
Fact, the actor who plays Phil in Scream 2 Omar Epps played as Marcus in Dracula 2000, as well as tv shows such as House MD as Eric Foreman and ER as Dr. Dennis Gant (There are others but those three I recognize along with Scream 2).
I think Sonia & Ally under the Stab 2 credits were meant to be the head sorority girls (Rebecca Gayheart & Portia de Rossi) who were constantly after Sidney to join.
Love the video! I think the only thing you left out was the original Stab 8, IE Universal’s Halloween Horror Night tram tour through the production and set of the new movie. Only to come face to face with ghost face as he’s murdering that new cast and the guests on set. Which would have meant the film would have been canceled. Assuming that could be part of the reason Stab 8 in Scream (2022) is a reboot! Am I reaching here? 😂
Billy Loomis: Get revenge on Sidney's mother for causing his family to break up Stu Macher: Peer pressure Mickey Altieri: Gain infamy for the Windsor College murders Debbie Loomis: Get revenge on Sidney for killing her son Roman Bridger: Get revenge on his mother for cruelly dumping him and frame his half-sister for his murders Jill Roberts: Become the new "Sidney Prescott" and get famous Charlie Walker: To help Jill care out her plans Amber Freeman: Help Richie create a "requel" for Stab 8. Richie Kirsche: Save the "Stab" franchise and Frame Sam Carpenter for all the murders
I always thought the lack of Red Right Hand in 4 was a nod to it being a satire of horror reboots, where most of the same music isn't used. Always thought the use of it in 2022 (which as a satire of legacy sequels, of course would bring back a classic song) was a perfect response to that
Is nobody talking about how at 5:43 Ron Howard is shown to have portrayed Principal Himbry in Stab? Because Henry Winkler who played Principal Himbry co starred With Ron Howard on happy days in the 70s, and in Principal Himbry’s Closet in scream there’s a leather jacket on a hanger which most likely homage to his performance as the Fonz
3:29 Billy’s mother was called Nancy Loomis but changed it to Debbie Salt to be undetectable for scream 2. Incidentally Nancy Loomis was also the name of the actress who played Annie in Halloween
Literally! Billy is a pansy I’m sorry, but to blame that on the daughter who had nothing to do it just so childish, I’m glad Randy chewed his out in the second movie even tho Bill is dead
Correction: Based on the new info in Scream (2022), we can assume that the second Woodsboro Murders (Scre4m) took place in 2011 (not 2010), because Sam Carpenter in the fifth movie says that it took place 10 years ago.
She specifically says 2011
Not to mention the movie came out in 2011 so why would it randomly be set in 2010? Don’t all the movies take place in the year they were released?
Kirby said so in scream 6 that murders by Jill and Charlie took place in 2011
Now it would be 2012 since Scream 6 fucked up the timeline, but I always thought it took place in 2011 because Gale says her and Dewey have been married for 10 years, Dewey proposed in 2000, he married her in 2001.

I think Ethan Embry would have made a better Stu.
LMAO
@@mightymorphinmatt420 so obscure and 90s. I love it!

14:04 You got that right! Nobody wants to be advertised to while they're in the middle of watching something! Examples of such annoyances include: Trainwell, PDS Debt, Better Help, and Audible.
I read the original Scream took place in early October. Love your videos!!
I always thought Gale was supposed to be starring as herself in the first stab film. Jennifer states "after 2 films in part but I interpreted that to be stab2 and stab3... being Randy comments in Scream 2 ".. soon to be a Major motion picture starring...Gale Weathers."
Scream 5 goes the narrative of Gale not being in any of the Stab movies which means Randy's line in part 2 is to be interpreted as sarcasm but it still fits with the history that way. I just always liked the idea that Gale was so vain she'd have chosen to play herself in the film adaptation of her book.
I swear I didn’t even realize this was about the Stab movies in Scream and not the actual scream movie until about 10 mins in 😂

AYE!! What a way to enjoy my day off. Nothing like a good history lesson 🔪
Enjoy your day off.
Never been a horror movie fan, but czs world makes the backstories very interesting. Excellent work.
Another great video, love your Horror History!
The franchise need to move away and stay away from Woodsboro we have had 3 murder sprees in Woodsboro already.
Stab or Scream?

Love these movies and your content. Absolute bangers!
Thanks Jake!
Thumbs up people. Too many subscribers for such a low number. This man deserves pay in the form of metal AF
"Because nobody wants to be advertised to while theyre in the middle of watching something" i literally got an ad two seconds after he said that.
Just a tiny correction. The events on scream 2 were set in 1998. Although the movie was released in 1996. There is a 2 years gap between the first event and the second one.
I love your videos, keep up with this amazing work.
Wow, I can only imagine how much work went into this. Fantastic. Nice tie.
Why'd they take out Red Right Hand from the intro to Stab? :(
Love how Scream 4 does predict Scream 5 'There's no element of surprise, you can see everything coming'.
It's kinda messed up how in the Scream world, producers will make a movie based on recent real life tragedies for profit. Good thing the movie industry isn't that messed up in reality! Wait a minute-
ZINGGGGGGGGG
Thank you CZ I'm super sick 😫 🤒 😷 🤧 🤢 🤮 laying in bed and hearing my bell notification and seeing a new video from makes me hella happy! I may be sick but I still show up to horror history class, I'll see you next time assuming we both survive.
Get well soon (assuming you survive)
Congrats on 1 mil subs!!
Excellent video!! I always get a good laugh out of Luke Wilson’s Billy Loomis hair!
You’re a legend CZ!
💀
Incredible level of detail and digging. I'm shocked. Well done
If they are going to do anything with Stab in the next few films, they really should show more of these famous actors playing the roles.
congrats Czsworld on hitting 1 million subscribers
Fact, the actor who plays Phil in Scream 2 Omar Epps played as Marcus in Dracula 2000, as well as tv shows such as House MD as Eric Foreman and ER as Dr. Dennis Gant (There are others but those three I recognize along with Scream 2).
I’m glad you finally made it to 1 million. Congrats.
I think Sonia & Ally under the Stab 2 credits were meant to be the head sorority girls (Rebecca Gayheart & Portia de Rossi) who were constantly after Sidney to join.
Loved this vid so much great information but you did not have to come for me with that audible ad calling me out lol
Awesome work as always man! I love Horror History! ❤️
This was amazing. Everything I could have hoped for as a Scream and Horror fan. Thank you for all your work putting this together
I could be dumb for asking but did this actually happen during HHN as part of the tram tour or did you just make this up?
@@microwavedpepsi it happened lol look it up!
Love you czsworld keep it up 💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks for the support!
Have you considered doing anything on The Haunting of Hill House and how it compares to Rose Red and The Haunting? That would be awesome!
Dude it's wild the amount of research that goes into making these videos!
Epic job
Billy Loomis: Get revenge on Sidney's mother for causing his family to break up
Stu Macher: Peer pressure
Mickey Altieri: Gain infamy for the Windsor College murders
Debbie Loomis: Get revenge on Sidney for killing her son
Roman Bridger: Get revenge on his mother for cruelly dumping him and frame his half-sister for his murders
Jill Roberts: Become the new "Sidney Prescott" and get famous
Charlie Walker: To help Jill care out her plans
Amber Freeman: Help Richie create a "requel" for Stab 8.
Richie Kirsche: Save the "Stab" franchise and Frame Sam Carpenter for all the murders
its actually Nancy Loomis

u never cease to amaze me bro😫and btw CONGRATS ON REACHING 1 MILLION EVEN THOUGH I MIGHT BE LATE ON THE NEWS☠️
I always thought the lack of Red Right Hand in 4 was a nod to it being a satire of horror reboots, where most of the same music isn't used.
Always thought the use of it in 2022 (which as a satire of legacy sequels, of course would bring back a classic song) was a perfect response to that
Scream 4 was about remakes not reboots.
*CONGRATS ON REACHING 1M SUBCRIBERS, MAN!*
I think since Mathew lillard was in stab 8 that was a hint he will be the ghost face killer next time wow what an idea gale better write a book about
after watching you for a while.. you’ve done. you’ve finally convinced me to get audible lol. you’re right, I buy books and they sit there. :(
this is what ive been waiting for
I didn't think anyone would expect this video, but good to hear!
This is overwhelmingly impressive. And since I cannot stomach to watch Scream4 for a second time this is also very helpful 🥴🥴
The Stab franchise is iconic, glad it continues to this day
I’m kind of hoping that they make another Scream and bring Stu back as the killer.
3:29 Billy’s mother was called Nancy Loomis but changed it to Debbie Salt to be undetectable for scream 2. Incidentally Nancy Loomis was also the name of the actress who played Annie in Halloween
It still pisses me off How Billy blamed Sidney for his dad and Maureen’s affair, like she had nothing to do with it lol
righttt shes basically paying for her mothers sins and its so heart breaking
Oops meant to say had anything to do with it*
Literally! Billy is a pansy I’m sorry, but to blame that on the daughter who had nothing to do it just so childish, I’m glad Randy chewed his out in the second movie even tho Bill is dead
Okay I can’t speak English, holy shit… chewed his ass* out.
@@saraelise1327 I agree!
I like that even before the events of scream there was already something scary/shady going on with the actresses going missing mysteriously
Scream 6 is going to be badass
