Lol it's weird to think that we'll never be as good as Vinnie. On one sense it hurts but on the other you can't help enjoying that he exists like a sort of unreachable drumming God.
Maaan, now this upload IS the spirit of TH-cam for me. As much of a fan and student of their music, I only got see THE cats(Patitucci, Thomas, Gamble, etc) every now and then when they came for festivals close to me and when I had the cash. This is a concert from Poland in those AAmazing 90's!?! Thanks for sharing! Get to see what I missed
Vinnie Colaiuta y John Patituci tremendos músicos!! Esta bestia de Patituci tendría que desestudiar un poco ja ja. Es un descomunal bajista!! Este nivel de músicos ya están en otra dimensión.
+Scott Holmes I guess by now you know that Patitucci was the bass player for all of Chick Corea's both Elektric and Akoustic Bands, years before this... hell of a bass player.
thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it was removed and i was looking for it 3 years now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the best fusion live ever
+unclemeat1977 Yeah, I'm glad I discovered him a few years back. Always a fan of Jaco, Stanley, Marcus, Mingus etc but Patt can play!! His upright skills are phenomenal check out his acoustic work with Mark O'Conner !!
Finding music like this is like finding a hidden treasure. I've been listening to Chick Corea albums for years especially the Elektric Band stuff. So I decided to check out his bass player's album Another World and some other albums by him. Man, I love it. This live performance is even better. Just my opinion, but I think John's Fusion Jazz is better than Chick's. No song on his albums are boring.
PS. I'm a big fan of John Beasley's. If you want to hear some great bass playing by Patitucci, Ricky Minor and Freddie Washington, get Beasley's album entitled "Cauldron" as well. They are also playlists on Beasley's TH-cam channel.
The patented "Vinnie fixes his glasses" rudiment at 41:57 ... Vinnie is a beast.
I don't mind that I'll never be able to play like Vinnie... it's nice to have heros.

I was unaware of Patitucci before this. I certainly knows is way on the strings.
Yeah! All 6 of them!

Nice band...Gary Thomas is a greatly underrated, original saxophonist.
Marched 860

I love his playing.

This lineup changed my life for the better. Thanks for posting this.
Love the first track!!!!!! Buy the album!!! "Another World".
Best track on the album. Love this Vinnie snare, and the sax is very nice also.

Glad I got to witness this.
I have this CD but have never seen them live... absolutely incredible
LOVE it !!😀
Me too. I like his older Cds the best. Was more fusionish back then.
Agreed. Damn
Great, thanks for sharing.
Fantastic playing (though Vinnies drums sound better nowadays). Love John Beasley in this. Thanks for posting.
The recording quality is not great.
This super tight snare drum is glorious even if the recording is dire.
I have been waiting for John Petrucci to come out but i failed to see him and then i read the caption agains😭
Thanks for the info.
Td muito lindo rsrs 😊 mestres na arte do improviso
thx to uploading such a treasure!

John is wearing a cape!
Because he's a super hero
35:20, that use of the double pedal.
Wow!
Maestro
Muito bom !!!
Jazz Jamboree 1993 Sala Kongresowa, Warsaw, Poland (October 1993)
44:55 Vinnie's beaten his crash into submission... 😂
Cool
94-0.... that's what we "like". I'm about to make it 95!!!
still to this day no one has caught up with Vinnie
intresting.....dont see Vinnie with brushes much it seems.....sweet.....nylons ala Billy Hart too !!!! :)
Now that Vinnie's getting older,
you will.
Muito bom , hot music!
muito bom
Polish TVP2 it was on JazzJamboree festival i think ...
Co written with Armand Sabal Lecco!!!
The camer man should spot at Vinnie's excellence ...more
Only thing that didnt click is Gary Thomas, much unfortunately... I think he is much of an old school guy...
I dig it
44:28 Scophiles main theme
To nie JJ, to Akademia Muzyczna, miałem to gdzieś na VHS :)
rare john show
Does anyone know what the second song is?
Anyone knows the name of the song starting at 29:30?
That song, if I'm correct is called "The Call" . It's off of the pianist's, John Beasley's, album called "A Change of Heart".
PS. I'm a big fan of John Beasley's. If you want to hear some great bass playing by Patitucci, Ricky Minor and Freddie Washington, get Beasley's album entitled "Cauldron" as well. They are also playlists on Beasley's TH-cam channel.
Sheesh , excuse my typos. I'm usually better at proof reading. LOL
Thanks man! Very helpful, and I'll go and check out Cauldron. :)
🌾💙🙄🌱
This TRB custom more awesome cool better than JP1- & JP2
I rather enjoyed this live musical artistic endeavor
Hot Summer night music.
Hilarious how Patitucci is wailing on a bass solo at 3:20 and the keybard player fucks him up screwing the harmony
I pity John switched to Yamaha.
Too much bass Jerry?Get your ears checked out and get back to us sometime soon. Actually don't bother
Jonny Vegas on synth. This sounds like a fucking mess.
gotta be the worst film editing ever.
Mind numbing tedium.
Not a big fan of his bass sound here...
Too much bass. It’s kind of cringe
