Peter, I’ve been working in IT my entire career and have had many “successes”, today managing 25 people and responsible for many millions in medial software. It’s what I thought I was meant to do/should do for many years. But I turned 40 this year and the work is no longer fulfilling. I don’t get to be creative in this role and it’s killing me. I’ve been following you for years and you have been slowly motivating this stubborn person to dream and begin believing in himself. So THANK YOU for being an inspiration to me. It’s even rubbing off from me on to my wife as she is deciding to keep and open mind in her own career and is questioning what she really wants to do. So I want you to know that you’re having a very positive influence on people like myself. Please don’t stop inspiring us. The world needs people like you.
This was me a few years ago. Working in IT, especially at that leadership level, the expectation is to be linear, logical, not creative. And you tell yourself you're not a creative, you're sciencey and technical. Only you're not, none of us are, we're all creatives, and it was this channel that helped me realise that. I got back into music, back into photography, and I even try to apply some of that creativity to the day job!

I’m looking forward to your film book. Back in 2019 I was diagnosed with MS and felt like my life dreams were gone. I was depressed for quite some time and then I found your channel. You might hear stories similar to this one but you have no idea how your videos have impacted my life. From watching your videos I saw how you smile while talking about photography and that inspired me. I decided to pick up a camera and play around with it and learn from your videos. I got so into it that the better I was getting the more I wanted to learn. Now I have a calling in life and part of that I owe to you. I open my IG and started documenting my journey through this medium and I couldn’t be happier in my life. Thank you, I can’t wait to continue learning as I really been wanting to get into film.

I've been taking photos for about 15 years and I started with a digital camera. It became my job and for a few last years I felt burnt out and noticed that I stopped taking photos for myself. This year, in June, I bought a Canon F1 and with the fiest roll od film I felt the same thing you are talking about, when you started taking photos and the fun came back to me. Thanks for your work and the inspiration you give and good luck in 2024.❤

Videos like this make me not give up and even though there is one day left until Christmas, it's 1:00 a.m. in Poland, I'm sitting at the computer, editing wedding photos for my clients so that they can show it to their family at the Christmas table and I'm extremely satisfied with this because, despite the late hour, I'm doing what I love. While this year has mostly been a normal year I have done a few things that are definitely thanks to you and all you have taught and inspired me to do over the past few years since I started watching. Got my first tattoo at age 49 and it was the PPL logo on the inside of my forearm. The day after Thanksgiving I turned 50 and with your code I finally took the step and created a website for my photography on Squarespace. I did real street photography for the first time this year as well and have really loved doing that. So thanks to you, Pete, for all you teach and inspire. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

2023 recap: Started an LLC, got a 9-5, met my girlfriend, traveled on my own for the first time to multiple places, taking my drivers test, got fired, lost my health insurance, built my pc, took many courses for yt, started realizing what I wanted in life and what I'm going to do. Before 2023, I felt like I needed things to be confident in myself. Now, I'm confident. I failed so much throughout these several years, but I'm learning each time I failed.
2024: I'm ready.

I really needed this video. For me 2023 can be summed up in one word. Survival. I went from being part of a community and having more friends than I can count from about 2-3 years ago, to losing practically all of that in one year and no idea how to even tackle 2024. I've always loved your attitude and approach to what you do and it gives me some hope for the following year even if it means turning the page and starting from scratch with meeting new people and forming new relationships. From the Pete's Pirate Life brand, to your travels, to these videos, it continues to inspire me to do the same. To take chances, keep meeting people, do something creative, and most of all.
