Love jerk bait videos Mike! The HJ 8 is a good bait and, I find that they suspend right out of the package. One of my favs here in NJ is the perch model HJ 8. As an alternative and for when you have blue gill as your forage bait is the Berkley Juke. It has more of a blue gill shape than a minnow/shad shape. They make a blue gill color and a shad pattern one. They're 1/2 ounce, cast well and suspend nicely in cold water out of the box. Careful you don't let that HJ sink too long and you hook up on a log or lay down!
