    YOU CAN HEAR THE WRESTLER'S MOTHER ASKING WHAT'S WRONG IN THIS VIDEO
    4A and 5A Wrestling State Championships in Utah, a wrestler from Fremont High School gets knocked out in the first few seconds of wrestling against a wrestler from Lehi High School. The names of the wrestlers have been with-held from the description for privacy. After about 4 minutes of regaining consciousness, the wrestling resumed. He was not injured, just a little shaken up. The audible voices in the video are family members of the Fremont wrestler. Thank you!

      Agreed, super good ref! That being said, you have to be braindead to compare reffing wrestling and MMA. You and me could ref an amateur wrestling match with just an hour of briefing before the match, you couldn't say the same about MMA. So yeah reffing wrestling is different from reffing wrestling, boxing, muay thai, taekwondo, kenpo/kyokushin/shotokan karate, BJJ, sambo, sanda, judo, kickboxing, etc all at the same time. And the final point is that you cant compare a collegiate wrestling match with fights worth 10s or 100s of thousands $$, some refs just want to give the fighters every chance they can to make a bigger paycheck.

    • @brucebruce7065
      @brucebruce7065 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well it is different because these are young athletes, probably high school maybe but they are essentially wrestling for free and have so much of future ahead that no ref wants to be the one who assists in permanently injuring someone. Like the person said above me, with professional fighters or wrestlers there is money involved. Those refs want to give those professionals a chance to do something and sure, they have let some guys get absolutely destroyed even when they are maybe already unconscious but there is so much money involved with tickets, ppv sales and the actual purse for fighters that I believe they are trained to let things go and just see what can happen. I've actually seen MMA fighters get the glassy look then come out in the next round and recover or crazy enough, come back to win. I agree with you that it may not be right in the long run for some fighters but again, money is involved

I dropped the guy I was fighting when this wrestler ran up on me, picked me and basically suplexed me. I was lucky enough to land right in a snow pile (I was still dizzy). I played football for 6 years and that's something that was explained to us in detail and that's not well explained to other sports people think just cuz they regain Consciousness and they're able to start wrestling again or get back in the game they're fine but you can still have some form of a concussion you more than likely do a concussion may not come up on an MRI but you still very well can't have one.

    Wrestling in the United States suck! Parents sign death agreement for their child to be accepted to participate in tournaments where NO medical personnel is present at all. My kid was wrestling for a couple of years and I watched several cases of concussions and injuries which, in best cases, parent had to handle themselves, and in worst cases, couches and judges just moved the injured child off the ring to let others continue. I am from Ukraine where each wrestling tournament of any level I attended was accompanied by fully equipped medical team ready to handle any emergency if needed. It is just shame how primitive it is in USA.
