Actually the data is old india has now a gdp of 4.1 trillion dollars
British has an army from 3-4 centuries and has resources of its colonies at its disposal. India started developing an army in the past century and now in the 21st century, India is strengthening & modernizing its military because of its rising economy & resources. So, I think India is doing pretty good and India will improve a lot in future

The reason India doesn’t have dedicated mine warfare ships is because we have multiple aircraft to conduct the same mission. Different techniques to kind of achieving the same result. Cheers!

Well nobody doubts Indian quality too, all those ranks are made on the bases of experience too, India fought 6 wars and won 5 of them
And it's a country who started from minus after a loots of Britain and Islamic invadors, we started from minus and now we are quite strong
No I wasn’t referring to quality - I was trying to establish that the numbers don’t mean anything unless you link it to something else.
It’s clear that the quality is there (I know I said quality but I was trying to formulate my thoughts and I think I explained it better in the moments after)

Indian destroyers, frigates corvettes also have dual capacity to do mine warfare, so rather than going for dedicated we have dual purpose hence 0, though India has been contemplating for long to get dedicated mine warfare for specialized missions, but hasnt got traction enough

India is very new in defence manufacturing. Indian navy manufacturing atleast with 50/60 % indegenous component but aerospace still needs aviation ecosystem. If Modi ji goes on for next 10 years. This will change dramatically.

If our neighbors had been good, these figures would have been even lower. In India's case, it is important to have a strong military in today's times, even from the defense perspective. Otherwise countries like Pakistan and China would have launched many attacks on India.

Uk armory is way more advanced than Indian and the country is like 30x bigger than uk. Indian nuclear weapons can't reach uk but uk can hit India. India china Russia are fighting with outdated soviet weapons army etc. US for UK.

Indian defence budget in 2024 is 83 billion dollars not 74 billion.
Indian current defense budget 81.4 billion usd.

9:30 sorry that you don't know India was under British rule and most of British army was filled with indian soldiers 5 out of 2 soldiers were Indian in British army, only thing is Britain is ungrateful and had so much attitude to not honor them, you want proof just search battle of haifa, battle of saragarhi and so on....
I know that india was under British rule and that Indians fought and died in WW1 and WW2 but I was referring specifically for the navy and the mines in the waters.
