India is a very vast and sensitive country share with International borders with 7 countries along with so many internal militancy group and insurgency.... that's why we have largest number of Special forces in the world.Jai Hind.🔥🔥🇮🇳🇮🇳💪💪
Let me just brief you a bit on this. 1)COBRA Commando is a Police Commando Unit trained for fighting against Naxalite insurgents, where the situation needs Military style operations with Police powers of detaining and arrest and persecution, as the military has no such powers. 2)Ghatak is a Battalion based platoon sized SF of a particular regiment, which can undertake Commando operations in situations where regular commandos may not necessarily be required. 3) Garud Commandos is an Airfore SF unit recruted for the needs of the Indian Airforce, as the army is tied up with its already numerous tasks. 4) The MARCOS is more or less like the SEALS. It's a naval unit of SF . May I also mention that it was initially trained by the Special Boat Service and the SEALS. 5)The Special Frontier Force is a branch of the RAW, an intelligenge agency. The Force though officerd by Army officers, basicaly comes under the Home Ministry. It was created to counter the chinese threat after the invasion of Tibet in 1950. Recruits to this force are mostly Tibetan citizens with a sprinkle of Gurkhas and other Indian personnels and they are trained similarly to the Para SF, with a bit of espionage thrown in. 6) The Para SF, I guess you wont need much introduction on that one, its just that it traces its origins to the 50th Indian Parachute Brigade of WWII. 7)The NSG is a counter insurgency cum vip protection unit headed by a senior police officer, though it contains elements from the military, for COIN purposes and Police officers for VIP protection. Apart from these top seven, there are other SF units both police and military that are trained and used as per the needs of a certain region or circumstance. One of them is a Desert Reconnaissance Group based in Rajasthan, a desert area shared by both India and Pakistan. The Units of this particular group traces its origins to the Indian elements of the Long Range Desert Reconnaissance Group that fought in North Africa during WWII. The other Police SF groups are created because in India, Law and order is a State (read as county or province ) subject as enshrined in the constitution. So the states which face threats of insurgency, terrorism or downright organised crimes in which ordinary police could not handle but not intense as to warrant a military operation, created their own Special Police Forces to deal with such activities.
Ghatak platoon is a unique concept...its basically a platoon in every infantry unit..kindda like shock troops..only the best soldiers and officers of the unit are a part of it and they undergo commando training at the commando school..they get the best weopons and gear in the unit..theyre the most active platoon in units as theyre always practicing for inter unit or higher level ghatak competitions
The image shown of Special Frontier Force soldier is incorrect. The soldier shown is wearing a green beret with a Gurkha regiment badge. The SFF wear a maroon beret and has a "Snow Lion" badge. India does not treat the SFF as part of the indian military but as a covert group and does not receive true commando training. However, SFF soldiers are one of the fiercest ones and highly motivated to fight China and to serve India. Been there!
The SFF, especially its Vikas Regiments, is commanded and led by officers of the Indian Army, especially Para Special Forces, which also makes up the Special Group, the top parent organization of the SFF and NSG. The latter has two components. Special Action Group 51 and 52 and the Rangers. The two SAGs are the combat arms of the NSG, drawn exclusively from the men of Para Special Forces of the Indian Army, while the Rangers, in a support role are made up of personnel drawn from Central Armed Police Forces. Despite all the hype surrounding Marcos, they are just as good or bad as the Rashtriya Rifles and other Army units deployed in counter-terror operations. Certainly not better!

NSG is one of the most elite special forces of India specializes in anti- terror, anti-hijacking and anti- hostage situations. And, not half commando trained or to bodyguard. It was never used to bodycard,in the video "Top 7 special forces" narrator mentioned a fact that was misleading gives this impression.
So Jus to clarify, Para SF is the special forces of the Indian Army, whose primary missions include recon and raiding enemy territory. Their secondary mission include rescuing hostage in enemy territory. Garud are the SF of the Air Force whose primary missions include rescue pilots who ejected into enemy territory and provide ground support for ariel assets like laser painting a target. Secondary mission include scouting and recon. Marcos are the SF of the navy. They basically perform the same tasks as Para sf and Garud but in a marine environment. And parachute jumping is common for all 3
Garud commandos are not Para SF. They are trained by them, but their primary mission is combat search n rescue. Mainly for airforce pilot pilots who have ejected in combat n could probably be behind enemy lines. Secondary mission is insurgence n providing targets for air units, like laser painting targets like bunkers, hangers n radars. Para SF on the other hand is for the army, whose primary role is counter terrorism within and beyond enemy lines and secondary mission is search n rescue of hostages behind enemy lines. Even these have levels, some Are trained specifically for mountain warfare, some for jungle n some for desert warfare. They have exposure to all these 3 environment but they are honed to just one. These makes them perfect in their field.

Paramilitary forces like the Indo-Tibetan Border Police comprise people from the frontier areas who are specially adapted to operate in very high altitudes and extremely low temperatures. Same with the Special Frontier Police. These units can easily operate in every 15K+ feet without oxygen support and are brilliant mountaineers. It needs mentioning that Indian has forces permanently stationed in 12K+ feet in the Karakoram range.
Speaking of Indian special forces and Gurkha units, I’ve thought for a long time that Ukraine should sign a treaty with Nepal to hire the Gurkhas. What thoughts and opinions do you have that? Might that be the subject of a video you could do?
@@Dwrksied So Ukraine 🇺🇦 can have the soldiers it needs to end the war faster without being forced to reward Russia. The Nepalese clearly need the employment anyway, and a sanctioned version for Ukraine would help undermine the ad hoc version that Russia is using to refill its cannon fodder. The assumption that they wouldn’t be cared for by Ukraine is asinine.
The video was half baked. 1. COBRA - CRPF is a special unit for internal operations only against a specific type of internal militancy (communists) in a very specific region which is mostly arid jungle area. It is part of CRPF- a paramilitary force 3. Garud is a Airforce special force tasked with protecting airfields, attacking airfields and search and recovery of downed pilots-100% Airforce . 3. NSG specialises in hostage rescue and urban warfare - internal operations only. 70% volunteers from army 30% from other forces. 5. SFF- is 100% composed of Tibetans and ladakhis, they work behind Chinese lines- raids and intel gathering. Work along regular army units under army command, wear Army camo and ranks. 6. MARCOS - India's NAVY SEALS 7. PARA(SF) is equivalent of SAS. 2. GHATAK is NOT a special force, it is the quick responding platoon within an infantry battalion. it is basically the youngest, fittest and naughtiest lads in the battalion. Good marksmanship is also required.
Right on, brother. You nailed it. The top unit which the TH-camr missed is Special Group under the management of RAW, also known by 4 Vikas, 22 SF and 22 SG. They are the real deal I believe. They are more secretive than US Teir 1 SOF, like the Delta, that their workings and missions are known only by a select few even at the top of Govt and military hierarchy. The real unsung hereos. We know of missions undertaken by Delta and top tier 1 units, but not of this Special Group. We will find just a couple of pics of them, that too blurred.

Nice video...The Father of Indian Army is Subash Chandra Bose..You must research and make a video on him...There is a lot of British + Indian history,,which people globally ,don't know about.
SFF/22 SF/ 22SG/ Establishment 22 / 4 Vikas are bravest of the brave and best of the best. Commanded by the Indian Army and operations are completely covert. Its comes directly under R&AW and operations are undertaken under the PM of India. It used to be a secret force. Chinese fears them the most. They are also known as The Mavericks.
We didn’t need the British to train us, we are very capable and have a very ancient armed force history. British, Portuguese, French and other European invaders were able to invade, because we were defeating Islamic invaders and had other issues. So stop thinking British did anything good in India. We aren't here to be patronised.
A normal infantry soldier goes through mountain warfare training above 18000 feet ..A Royal marine commando wont survive in place like siachen 22000 feet ..Also Indian sf infantry are in constant combat through out the year ..
If you are speaking about the pick of NSG , then it was from the parade. And that pic is from a video which showed its behind the scenes. so, they were just gearing up at that time when the photo was taken.

Hello soldier! I would like to add on few pointers, India does not have tier system but roughly Special group aka Maverics under R&AW, 9 para sf, Phantom of NSG, are more comparable to delta operators, 22SAS, even E- squadron. NSG is Indian GSG 9 Rashtriya rifles are elite commando unit alike P-Company of UK Marcos are much equivalent to SBS , a special force of Indian navy consisting the few percentage of Indian navy.

Correct, SFF is purely a Tibetan force to tackle China vis-a-vis Tibet occupation and them being born in the Himalayan region and Tibetan plateau normal soldiers from the plains can never match their mountain capabilities where oxygen is scarce

Please, man, react to the Ops Rooms' 2 videos on India!
The auto captions that you are reading is horrendous.
You should check the Naga Regiment.. they might be the smartest and best
React to SFF ( Special Frontier Force ) u will understand about this special force more clearly, plz react to video and make a video on it. ❤
I guess his eyebrow could see night vision in the day
😅
You must explore Rashtriya Rifles if want other interesting topic❤❤❤
Speaking of Indian special forces and Gurkha units, I’ve thought for a long time that Ukraine should sign a treaty with Nepal to hire the Gurkhas. What thoughts and opinions do you have that? Might that be the subject of a video you could do?
Why? So that they could throw away their lives for a country that doesn't care about them? Or drag and unnecessary war longer?
@@Dwrksied So Ukraine 🇺🇦 can have the soldiers it needs to end the war faster without being forced to reward Russia. The Nepalese clearly need the employment anyway, and a sanctioned version for Ukraine would help undermine the ad hoc version that Russia is using to refill its cannon fodder. The assumption that they wouldn’t be cared for by Ukraine is asinine.
@@connorthompson8376We don't want our brothers to be killed in Yt man's war again.
Bro we have a gurkha regiment also .. and the biggest gurkha regiment in the world... In Indian army
React to Net Geo documentry on NSG
We will find just a couple of pics of them, that too blurred.
bhai..ab ek do mahine ka probation clear kar chuke har kisiko special force bol rahe hai log.
Tactical commando units and special force me differences nahi maloom.logon ko.
so many Sikhs in army wow proud indian
in India there are only three special forces (Marcos commando, para sf commando and garud commando)
Total 5, 1.special group- raw
2. Marcos navy
3. para sf army
4. garud iaf
5. nsg anti terrorist

Bro didn’t recognise the legend standing behind female commandos
A normal infantry soldier goes through mountain warfare training above 18000 feet ..A Royal marine commando wont survive in place like siachen 22000 feet ..Also Indian sf infantry are in constant combat through out the year ..
There are only 3 special forces. And the other ones are SOF
all details are here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_forces_of_India
Yes we meed that because our country is surrounded by ENEMIES
The guys night vision is not even on his eye, even though it’s placed in front of it
If you are speaking about the pick of NSG , then it was from the parade. And that pic is from a video which showed its behind the scenes. so, they were just gearing up at that time when the photo was taken.
They come from Shivaji Maharaj who mastered in ambush
im sad, @0:32 , you say without me chatting over the top of it. that isnt your typical waffling................................... big sadddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
Hello soldier!
I would like to add on few pointers,
India does not have tier system but roughly
Special group aka Maverics under R&AW,
9 para sf,
Phantom of NSG,
are more comparable to delta operators, 22SAS, even E- squadron.
NSG is Indian GSG 9
Rashtriya rifles are elite commando unit alike P-Company of UK
Marcos are much equivalent to SBS , a special force of Indian navy consisting the few percentage of Indian navy.
Bruh , u Don’t know shit, u forgot sff is under raw and cabinet ministers, they take direct orders from the PM, and sff is better than SG cause they r also knows as SG and they r trained in Guerilla warfare , mountain ware fare , high altitude, jungle warfare , they do static and cff jumps every year bruh u dont know shit so stop typing
Meanwhile there is a state in India name manipur where the commndo are specialised in getting their belly bigger😂
No, GARUD COMMANDOs are for the protection of airforce bases. ofcourse no SF branch completes training without para jumping.
If we see operation wise uk's SAS and U.S. delta force are best
Correct, SFF is purely a Tibetan force to tackle China vis-a-vis Tibet occupation and them being born in the Himalayan region and Tibetan plateau normal soldiers from the plains can never match their mountain capabilities where oxygen is scarce
My unit is not even listed 😀
Special Frontier Force is basically Tibetan force of India.
We are indian ❤
Jammu Kashmir Rifles. On ground highly active force in Kashmir against terrorism.
Bro marcos ☠️ 🔥
operation apache reaction
Marcos was formed after 2 indian navy officers sent by india to undertake the marine training got the top 2 ranks these guys made a unit of commandos superior to marines😎
Indian defence ❤
Indian Special Forces are indigenously created and trained non of the foreign country was involved in forming and training of out SFs
Hey can you react America's war horse sergeant reckless by the fat electrition?
As a Indian I proud of my country, culture, diversity and our history but also fact is India is 1000 years behind of any develop country. Esp Indian Army/AF/Navy. If anyone don't believe then look at Attack on Mumbai, it took 3 days to take handful of terrorist. Or recently Navy rescue operation on pirate or even just a small fight with Chinese or Pakistanis, our soldiers dies more than others, No matter what we will claim or act, fact is fact.
The subtitles were very poorly done though.
React major Vivek jacob sf opration story by trs .... It is in English
Checkout inside NSG by national geographic
The Indian training program is based completely on British & US special ops.
Ask any US servicemen who served alongside these guys in Afghanistan. You won't like what you hear.
Why
@@Ash-mo7wj They would prance around in their gaudy uniforms and had no fighting skills. All show for their women back in India. Poorly trained, and in all honesty. Just a worthless bunch of excrement.
Let them go fight the Chinese with their clubs on the border. They're not good for anything else. I hear they're good at cricket, something else so worthless the USA wouldn't even entertain that bs.
Hear about what??
They never served in afg..what are you saying?
@@johnzubil2875 funny that Indian soldiers have similar thoughts about their US counterparts. Humble and friendly folks, but too lazy and poorly trained .
But the difference is, unlike US....India has a lot of war victories in the modern era. Be it the Indo-Pak war of 1947,1965,1971,1984,1999 or the Sino-Indian conflict of 1967 or the Indo-Portuguese 1961.
So a HUGE victory record no other nation can beat, in recent times.
US on the other hand......
Operation apache 9 para sf
When you have neighbors like Pakistan and China then obviously we need that much special forces
US comandos - we have to much equipment.
Indian comandos - we have to much rugged training.
You left NINJA commandos... Those belong to CISF ( Central Industrial Security Force) and Force 1 Commandos....... 😊😊😊 also SPG (Special Protection Group) Commandos.
Doesn’t look like they have a lot of fire power that’s where I thought you were going to go with this video
They probably all formed while it was part of the empire. Don't forget all the names are muddy from WW2. If I remember I think 1Para started out as no.2 commando then 11 SAS and then 1Para and now 1Para SFSG. They probably just kept a lot of the commando tags that the UK changed
This all our Indian special forces were formed after independence and not under British rule or so called empire according to you. Most of the names are also ours, not tags of UK. If you want to understand this.@me5969
There are only 5 Special Forces in India
1. Army (PARA SF)
2. Air Force (GARUD)
3. Navy (MARCOS)
4. NSG
5. SG (SFF)
Others like Ghatak and Cobra are specialised combat units of different forces of Indian Armed Forces. But they are not at all Special Forces.
Commando is a Boer term it was a squad of white Dutch farmers who hit and run behind the British lines all though this kind of special operation is as old as warfare the terms comes from there.
Sf paracommando is very lethal
The first one are specially trained in Gorilla and Jungle warfare. You should have seen the video in English Subs from the beginning. Broo you are interpreting most the thing wrong.
Where's gurkha special force?
If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or he is Gurkha.
Bro Gurkha is not special force but gurkha are known for it bravary
@@heaventravelleroflife2332 i guess there's a separate Gorkha regiment.
