India has both a president and a prime minister. Presidents don't get elected, they get voted in parliament, I think.
President is elected by the elected members of parliament and elected members of state legislature.
President is elected by the elected members of both houses of parliament and elected members of the legislative assembly of states and union territories
The PM is also not elected by voters. We elected MP then the winning party chose or elected PM from MP. We can't elect a PM or President at all.
Lack of knowledge..
@@mysteriousperson9808 ya! Proportional representation
The Prime Minister just got re elected for a 3rd straight time. And yes we do have good relations with France
Usko phir bhi nahi samajh ayega
You have King..bcoz you have Monarchy... we have president bcoz we are Republic,... we have President and Prime Minister.. Prime minister Modi elected in 3rd term
Macron
Macaron is a cookie
Macaroon is an almond cookie
This is my favourite comment haha
@@OriginalHuman you need to pin it please you don't want to loose this gem 😀
@@OriginalHuman the pm was Narendra Modi. he is the head of state and in the recent elections he was voted again for third consecutive term. The president on the other hand is the head of armed forces and is voted by the members of the parliament. There are two houses in the indian parliament , the common house and state house .The prime minister is the head of the party that has attained majority in the common house [Lok Sabha] and the president is voted into power by the members of both the common and state house. So all the foreign invitations are made in the name of the president while the prime minister appoints all the ministers from his party or coalition ,hence foreign and internal affairs are controlled by the pm whereas the president serves mostly a function like that of the british monarch. the tableaus are of the dfferent states
@@OriginalHuman pls do beating the retreat ceremony, i am not sure have you done it or not

Those Non-military tabloid are representing the Culture of different Indian States!!
As you know India is a land of Diverse Culture & Tradition
Yeah, those tableus were representing different states of india , each state has its unique culture
President in india is just ceremonial thing and prime minister(Modi) is the one who is mostly in charge.
well, its not just ceremonial, this office does have lot of power and you know incharge of all armed forces but rarely anyone uses it
@@mohitdisodia7402 President can only act on the advice of Prime minister and council of ministers. Its just a ceremonial post.
@mohitdisodia7402 It is ceremonial. Those powers only look good in paper. And being in charge of the military is also just in name. Her name is used in the stamp. That's it. Real power over the military is with the PM and the Defense Ministry, Home Ministry and the Parliament(in case of a major action, like declaring war). Not to mention, often being from the ruling party, the President is simply a puppet of the PM.
Its not bro read constitution.
@@aryanverma9877 so you must be aware that every bill that is passed needs to be signed by president first, so president also can halt a bill that he does not agree on till his tenure passes. President of India is pretty powerful my friend.
It's because these are done mainly by the reserve forces, the bike stunts are done by all women. Thanks for the review ❤
Jai Shri Ram Jai Mahabhart ❤❤❤
We do it twice a year. On Jan 26th for Republic day the president receives the salute. On Aug 15 Independence day the prime minister receives the salute.
12:11 Spirit of INDIA. Unity in diversity
The President of the USA was invited first as the chief guest, but he showed bad faith again and rejected the offer, like 2-3 weeks before the event, after not showing up for an important QUAD meeting and cancelling a visit to Papa New Guinea with our PM of India.
He's too old and a puppet
This is wrong. US president was never officially invited. GOI never released any official announcement about it.
It was a random US ambassador when approached by reporters, said that the US president is interested in coming to Bharat.
And as usual Bharat's media made a mountain of a molehill.
@@addielang1672 Bro, he was not even mentioned in the Indian media beyond a brief statement stating that the chief guest had been replaced. He was not extended an official invitation as he never confirmed his intention to attend, even though he was asked. Rejecting such a significant event after an official proposal would be detrimental to the countries' relationship.
I really love their military parade. They are the most colorful uniforms in the world. It's so much fun watching!
Most branches of armed forces and paramilitary here in India have 3 sets of uniforms,
1. Service
2. Combat
3. Ceremonial
The Ceremonial uniforms are used in the RD parade every year.
Some recs:
Indian Navy telefilm 2023, its in English and goes into great detail about the workings, training of the navy

The kumaon regiment you speak of is from my place !! And damn they are good in combat too ! 🫡
President= King in UK
Prime minister= PM in UK
PM is head of govt in both IND and UK
King is head of country in UK while President is head of country in India..
Both King and President should follow the advice of PMs
Yes those are cadets. NCC National Cadet Corps. They have army and navy units. I was in the army unit. I got my discipline in life from the NCC.
My favourite part in this video is your accent. Love it so much.
Its simple
The the president is equivalent to the the Monarch in UK
And the Parliament works the same as UK. The Prime Minister is the real leader, and president is mostly ceremonial
5:12 "Is that a Javelin"? Close. It is a Spike-LR. Both this and Javelin are 3rd gen ATGM. India's own 3rd Gen ATGM is called MPATGM and has been undergoing trials since past few years. Will be finally cleared for Indian Army service either this year or next once all field trials are complete. Till then, as a stopgap, this Israeli Spike ATGM was purchased. Each Infantry Battalion has these.
BROTHER ITS DIFFRENT STATES WITH DIFFRENT CULTURES
You're seeing mostly women ( including the bike stunts ones ) because this time the theme was Nari shakti ( women power )
In india we have quasi federal government and Indian Constitution is inspired by the government structures of UK, IRELAND, USA.
The president is the supreme commander of joint indian forces and is indirectly elected by the members of lower and upper house of the parliament, powers usually like the position of Monarch in the UK parliamentary system. The PM fights elections like in UK
Nice reaction!🎉
Long live bharat 🇮🇳❤❤
The oldest Planes are DC 3 Dacota and Avero!!! Most are officially retired from active service!!
India is a parliamentary form of Government.....Prime Minister is elected by people and President is elected by the elected members of Both houses of Parliament
Ya those were the representation of different state culture of INDIA❤❤❤❤
It is literally a Westminster parliamentary system based government, House of people and house of elders, President is the ceremonial head of state like the King in UK and appoints the Prime minister. Everything is pretty much the same except we have states.
The Indian army was at one point the British Indian army and before that was separated into “native sepoy” regiments-- that’s why you see familiarity in the uniform--vestiges of a colonial past-- regimental names are also connected to regional history --“native sepoy regiments- ergo -madras sappers
Or Rajasthan rifles
Uniforms also represent some of those cultural and regional differences. HEAD DRESS BEING ONE OF THEM.
Turbans for the Sikh regiment
Safa for Rajasthan etc-- hope that helps
Cool that you noticed- 😊
11:31 regions/states basically showcasing our diversity. This is a REPUBLIC parade - not a military parade. It’s more wholesome and inclusive
Do a video on Gorkha regiment of the indian army, Love from india
I mean yes, the uniforms are globally of similar tone because of their respective combat fields have same color throughout the globe :D
Ground is represented with sandy brown, olive green shades to help them mix with the surroundings easily -
Air Force is sky blue - because that's mostly the shade of sky and yea, simply to symbolize their combat field.
Navy is all white - which seems to ironical on blue seas, but when you think from the perspective of sailors out and about in vast open seas which reflects sun- they are most likely to be affected by sunburns and heat strokes, thus white helps them remain relatively cool. Also, in navies during combat - battleships engage relatively from long range, thus, when looked upon by enemies through the binoculars - white uniforms often provide them a visual shield and helps them get mixed with white light reflected out of the sea surfaces - therefore - disabling the enemies from far to actually pinpoint what sailor are doing on the deck.
Last but not least for sailors in white is helpful for aerial rescue operations
So sad they didn't show the indian gurkha regiments, the uniform of the Kumaun regiment is inspired by the gurkha regiment
I can recommend you to check para sf and black cat marching if you see some berets and TH-cam have their marching in parade as well. Check it if you like
From the looks of it, it doesn't look like India was showing foreign made weapons, though it looked like Javelin but it may b Indian made ATGM. India is also working on it. They have developed longer range heavier ATGM which can b fired from Helicopters & armored vehicles but a smaller man portable version they r testing. Its because India needs them in very large number
Same as you guys left us with.
Year 2047 is ambition to become fully developed decolonised fully grown to our civilization is the theme and goal.
yes those tableau are from different region. and every year Republic Day parade has different theme!
India has so many languages and diverse landscapes that it becomes necessary to have different regiments so that communication and acclimatisation doesn't pose a hindrance. There were other reasons too.
As for the different regiments, since I belong to one of the border states and have seen them deployed here, I'm a little biased towards two of the most decorated regiments of Indian army: The Sikh regiment and Rajputana rifles.
Both regiments induct people from the traditional martial communities of India.
India roughly follows the UK's Westminster style parliamentary government where the people directly elect the members of the lower house of the parliament and that house elects the prime Minister. The prime Minister then appoints the cabinet. This is exactly like the house of commons. The rajya sabha or the upper house consists of members sent from each state (federalist design) based on each state's lower house (if bicameral) or state legislature (unicameral) composition. This is similar to the house of lords, but not really. Together, the members of parliament from both the upper and lower houses will then nominate and elect the President of India who enjoys powers and privileges similar to the Monarch in the UK.
IN INDIAN PARLIAMENT THERE ARE TWO HOUSES, LOK SABHA AND RAJYA SABHA. THE PRIME MINISTER IS A MEMBER OF LOK SABHA WHO IS ELECTED DIRECTLY BY THE CITIZENS OF INDIA, WHEREAS, THE PRESIDENT IS ELECTED BY THE MEMBERS OF RAJYA SABHA. AND YESS RECENTLY PRIME MINISTER MODI WON THE ELECTIONS FOR PRIME MINISTER SOON GOING TO START HIS 3RD TENURE AFTER TAKING THE OATH. THANKYOU
You are very much wrong.
You can see there are so many defferent faces complexions in the parade.some looks like Japanese some looks like Africans some looks like white people but we are Indians that's why i love my country we are all live like brothers
Bikers are women from various departments
They doesn't prepare for a year ....There are two shows like this .1. Republic Day, on Jan 26 .2. Independence Day on Aug 15 .In a year Two times❤
The parades before covid were better, this year they focused a lot on the bands contingent and women's marching contingent but removed some of the best marching contingents like the para SF and the Gorkha Regiment. Para SF was the only special forces contingent that used to march on republic day parade, but in 2024, that didn't happen. Additionally, the uniform of the gorkha regiment is very similar to the Kumaon regiment, but the former show a very high spirit while marching. you should check that out, you'll like it for sure. For me, 2024 parade wasn't as good as it used to be.
ଜୟ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ❤
All states (each its own nation within our great country) have their own culture that are displayed in these various floats. BTW, most of the contingents, including the bike ones were women and not guys. FYI.
In India 🇮🇳 The president is the supreme commander of Indian Army, While Prime minster is the supreme commander of the Indian Air force and Navy. So its not like the president don't have power. They can declare war or conclude peace for the country. Great vid by the way 😊😊😊
11:26 Representing cultural diversity of different states in India
As a Canadian I'm curious about why they have a hockey float :D cheers
Field Hockey
Hello sir , I always try to watch all of your videos. I am aspiring to become a doctor in the army.
Will you share your thoughts on becoming a doctor in the army.
Love from India by the way❤.
Yes ! Absolutely different regions.. 😂
You should react on Major vivek jacob Podcast with Ranveer alahabadia , you will love to watch this !
Yes! It should be a meme 😂😂
The fav was you figuring it all.. even Shakspere commented call India A 16:14 Golden peacock.. i am trying to recollect..
Motorcycle thing is done by CAPF( Central armed police force) not military.
That was one of the best reactions brother....keep going....🔥🔥🔥
Well, in India, the Parliament consists of two Houses. The two Houses are known as the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) and the House of the People (Lok Sabha).
We have 28 states and 8 union territories. Each state has different culture, traditions, clothes, food and languages.
So in election, each state conducts election to choose members of parliament, and then which party has majority in members of parliament form the government, and President is then elected members of both the Houses of Parliament and the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of States and the Union Territories.
Well in this election, Narendra Modi again won the election and became the prime Minister for 3rd consecutive times and president election has still time of another 2 years, I think.
First all the armed forces paradae happened and then tes the red furs are cadets in army, while other naval and Air Force cadets were there too.
After the parade, as I mentioned earlier, each state has different culture and traditions and clothing, they tried to represent their own state in front of others with meaningful themes..
India is diverse and beautiful.
You definitely need to come here and have fun with locals.
Cheers mate..😊
They are representing the states of india and also the different ministeries in each of the tablows.
And Also One thing in this Years Republic Day!
It majorly focused on Womens Participation, thats the reason you see only Women in certain marching and the Bikes stunt
Always dropping bangers! Was wondering if you could react to the navy Seabees as I leave for basic the 20th and will be a Seabee within the navy! Anyways keep on dropping bangers I’ll always watch
The Indian Prime minister is the most important role in India, who is elected by the people.
The president is just for show, like the royals of the UK, who gets elected by the ruling party.
Narendra Modi just got reelected for the 3rd time straight as the Prime minister.
This year theme was woman power stri shakti
The states tableu is to represent cultural heritage, and they are celebrating democracy; 26th Jan is our republic day likewise we have celebration on 15 Aug on Independence day
Where’s the sound bro ?
It's very easy... India follows the British Parliamentary System. Your head of state is the King, our head of state is the President as India is a republic. The government however, in both our countries, is run by the Prime Minister who heads the government and is the leader of the largest party in parliament.
Like the King is the head of your armed forces, the president is the head of our armed forces.
UK Head of State - King Charles III
UK PM - Rishi Sunak
Indian Head of State - President Draupadi Murmu (who is taking the salute from all contingents)
Indian PM - Narendra Modi.
Appreciate it brother.. ❤❤
Bike riders are all lady soldiers from the Corp of Signals.
India has both President and Prime Minister
President - Draupadi Murmu
Prime Minister - Narendra Modi
I just replied to a good boy who commented lack of knowledge 😂😂😂 seriously
if you want do greek hell march next
President is the Supreme commander of the Indian arm forcess
13:09 the 1st set of bikers are all women
So “that guy” is actually “that lady” 😂
BSF - Border Security Force (along the border of Pakistan and Bangladesh)
CISF - Central Industrial Security Force (Protecting Airport , Railways, Parliament, Industries and also Anti terror operations)
ITBP - Indo Tibetan Border Police (Along the border with China)
SSB - Sasatra Seema Bal (Along the border with Myanmar, Bangladesh)
CRPF - Central Reserve Police Force (Known for Anti terror operations in Kashmir, Anti Naxalite operations )
Мне пришла в голову мысль о том, почему сначала военный парад, а потом мирный. Военный - у нас есть сила, мирный нам нужна сила, что бы отстоять свой дом, культуру развитие.
Check out jay Wankhade, this channel has a lot of info about indian armed forces that you won't find anywhere and raw footages of various operations...
13:05 actually that's all women squads in those stunt part
pls react to this parade with oficial comentary it is way mor informative.
My India is great.❤😂😅. Modi is there at the Helm
Indian government is parliament driven like in England where prime minister along with Council of ministers run the country and are part of members elected by people directly
President is honorary head who doesn't have executive powers and is elected by members of parliament and state legislation
I don't know how it works😅😅
Ngl I misread the title, but wasn't disappointed either.
republic day parade is not just about military. its an auspicious occasion when whole india celebrates their cultural diversity and unity an a nation. ✌
ncc boys, girls parade was the best
🏑 is India's national sport
Those vehicles you mentioned: T-90 & the BMP are Soviet made so I'm not sure which side of history India would fall if WWIII sets off.
I met and worked with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers back in the 80s when I was in the U.S. Army (I only specified, so you don't presume I was British military).
India will be Switzerland and just sell arms to any if they are willing to pay . No one really wish to be in war for foreign cause ...
There will b some taste of commonwealth because of commonality in history
All were she on bikes not he 😂😂
Different states
These are ceremonial uniform worn only during ceremony like the Republic Day or the lndependence Day etc... Otherwise they have the general duty uniform or the camo uniform...
Colors of uniform are designed to be able to blend into their working environment like some camouflage. That's why they are similar in most countries.
All the bike stunts were performed by women, not men. The main subject of this year was women empowerment.
I highly recommend you to watch the official live stream. It will be for like a hour but trust me you will love it and get more military info from the official commentry. 🇮🇳
Please reaction on ms dhoni and sakshi dhoni
