India has a similar system like British. But instead of a Royal monarch, we have an indirectly elected President who has somewhat similar function as the King/Queen of UK. It provides a check over concentration of power to some extent.
India's parliamentary rule is democracy so there is President who is the head of the country But Still the prime minister of India is the head of the democracy democracy means the power of India and one and only the prime minister who have this so after prime minister election win the prime minister and the member of parliament selected the president of India by parliament voting when a President are going to sit on India's position as a president of India there is crucial role for prime minister who is the ruler of the country 😊
It is literally a Westminster parliamentary system based government, House of people and house of elders, President is the ceremonial head of state like the King in UK and appoints the Prime minister. Everything is pretty much the same except we have states.
@mohitdisodia7402 It is ceremonial. Those powers only look good in paper. And being in charge of the military is also just in name. Her name is used in the stamp. That's it. Real power over the military is with the PM and the Defense Ministry, Home Ministry and the Parliament(in case of a major action, like declaring war). Not to mention, often being from the ruling party, the President is simply a puppet of the PM.

I mean yes, the uniforms are globally of similar tone because of their respective combat fields have same color throughout the globe :D Ground is represented with sandy brown, olive green shades to help them mix with the surroundings easily - Air Force is sky blue - because that's mostly the shade of sky and yea, simply to symbolize their combat field. Navy is all white - which seems to ironical on blue seas, but when you think from the perspective of sailors out and about in vast open seas which reflects sun- they are most likely to be affected by sunburns and heat strokes, thus white helps them remain relatively cool. Also, in navies during combat - battleships engage relatively from long range, thus, when looked upon by enemies through the binoculars - white uniforms often provide them a visual shield and helps them get mixed with white light reflected out of the sea surfaces - therefore - disabling the enemies from far to actually pinpoint what sailor are doing on the deck. Last but not least for sailors in white is helpful for aerial rescue operations
India roughly follows the UK's Westminster style parliamentary government where the people directly elect the members of the lower house of the parliament and that house elects the prime Minister. The prime Minister then appoints the cabinet. This is exactly like the house of commons. The rajya sabha or the upper house consists of members sent from each state (federalist design) based on each state's lower house (if bicameral) or state legislature (unicameral) composition. This is similar to the house of lords, but not really. Together, the members of parliament from both the upper and lower houses will then nominate and elect the President of India who enjoys powers and privileges similar to the Monarch in the UK.
India has so many languages and diverse landscapes that it becomes necessary to have different regiments so that communication and acclimatisation doesn't pose a hindrance. There were other reasons too. As for the different regiments, since I belong to one of the border states and have seen them deployed here, I'm a little biased towards two of the most decorated regiments of Indian army: The Sikh regiment and Rajputana rifles. Both regiments induct people from the traditional martial communities of India.
India prime minister elected by people the president is elected by the members of parliament The March by the people are showing the different culture of India
The Indian army was at one point the British Indian army and before that was separated into “native sepoy” regiments-- that’s why you see familiarity in the uniform--vestiges of a colonial past-- regimental names are also connected to regional history --“native sepoy regiments- ergo -madras sappers Or Rajasthan rifles Uniforms also represent some of those cultural and regional differences. HEAD DRESS BEING ONE OF THEM. Turbans for the Sikh regiment Safa for Rajasthan etc-- hope that helps Cool that you noticed- 😊
You can see there are so many defferent faces complexions in the parade.some looks like Japanese some looks like Africans some looks like white people but we are Indians that's why i love my country we are all live like brothers
And Also One thing in this Years Republic Day! It majorly focused on Womens Participation, thats the reason you see only Women in certain marching and the Bikes stunt
All states (each its own nation within our great country) have their own culture that are displayed in these various floats. BTW, most of the contingents, including the bike ones were women and not guys. FYI.
The Indian Prime minister is the most important role in India, who is elected by the people. The president is just for show, like the royals of the UK, who gets elected by the ruling party. Narendra Modi just got reelected for the 3rd time straight as the Prime minister.
Those all bike were being driven and acrobatics were carried by Indian women "Gals" this time... Those first marching contimgent mens were from France, a collabarated Republic efforts, u know!
It's very easy... India follows the British Parliamentary System. Your head of state is the King, our head of state is the President as India is a republic. The government however, in both our countries, is run by the Prime Minister who heads the government and is the leader of the largest party in parliament. Like the King is the head of your armed forces, the president is the head of our armed forces. UK Head of State - King Charles III UK PM - Rishi Sunak Indian Head of State - President Draupadi Murmu (who is taking the salute from all contingents) Indian PM - Narendra Modi.
In India 🇮🇳 The president is the supreme commander of Indian Army, While Prime minster is the supreme commander of the Indian Air force and Navy. So its not like the president don't have power. They can declare war or conclude peace for the country. Great vid by the way 😊😊😊
The states tableu is to represent cultural heritage, and they are celebrating democracy; 26th Jan is our republic day likewise we have celebration on 15 Aug on Independence day
I can recommend you to check para sf and black cat marching if you see some berets and TH-cam have their marching in parade as well. Check it if you like
Well, in India, the Parliament consists of two Houses. The two Houses are known as the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) and the House of the People (Lok Sabha). We have 28 states and 8 union territories. Each state has different culture, traditions, clothes, food and languages. So in election, each state conducts election to choose members of parliament, and then which party has majority in members of parliament form the government, and President is then elected members of both the Houses of Parliament and the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of States and the Union Territories. Well in this election, Narendra Modi again won the election and became the prime Minister for 3rd consecutive times and president election has still time of another 2 years, I think. First all the armed forces paradae happened and then tes the red furs are cadets in army, while other naval and Air Force cadets were there too. After the parade, as I mentioned earlier, each state has different culture and traditions and clothing, they tried to represent their own state in front of others with meaningful themes.. India is diverse and beautiful. You definitely need to come here and have fun with locals. Cheers mate..😊
Narendra Modi lead NDA( National democratic Alliance) wins for third time. Narendra Modi is re-elected as Prime Minister of India for the Third Time in a row.
India has both a president and a prime minister. Presidents don't get elected, they get voted in parliament, I think.
President is elected by the elected members of parliament and elected members of state legislature.
President is elected by the elected members of both houses of parliament and elected members of the legislative assembly of states and union territories
The PM is also not elected by voters. We elected MP then the winning party chose or elected PM from MP. We can't elect a PM or President at all.
Lack of knowledge..

They represent all state of India
It's my Deepest respects all those Indian soldiers who fought in ww 1 & 2 under the British regime, which we fought...which was not ours..
What's so funny about the soldiers on the bikes, i don't know what makes u laugh so much.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 That excitement!!!.... I am pretty sure you love bikes too.
Motorcycle thing is done by CAPF( Central armed police force) not military.
They doesn't prepare for a year ....There are two shows like this .1. Republic Day, on Jan 26 .2. Independence Day on Aug 15 .In a year Two times❤
India prime minister elected by people the president is elected by the members of parliament
The March by the people are showing the different culture of India
The Indian army was at one point the British Indian army and before that was separated into “native sepoy” regiments-- that’s why you see familiarity in the uniform--vestiges of a colonial past-- regimental names are also connected to regional history --“native sepoy regiments- ergo -madras sappers
Or Rajasthan rifles
Uniforms also represent some of those cultural and regional differences. HEAD DRESS BEING ONE OF THEM.
Turbans for the Sikh regiment
Safa for Rajasthan etc-- hope that helps
Cool that you noticed- 😊
You can see there are so many defferent faces complexions in the parade.some looks like Japanese some looks like Africans some looks like white people but we are Indians that's why i love my country we are all live like brothers
I love my country ❤🇮🇳🇮🇳 india.. A peace loving nation.... But provoked beyond tolarance, then its a different story 🇮🇳💪💪💪🇮🇳
My India is great.❤😂😅. Modi is there at the Helm
And Also One thing in this Years Republic Day!
It majorly focused on Womens Participation, thats the reason you see only Women in certain marching and the Bikes stunt
They are representing the states of india and also the different ministeries in each of the tablows.
11:26 Representing cultural diversity of different states in India
UK Head of State - King Charles III
UK PM - Rishi Sunak
Indian Head of State - President Draupadi Murmu (who is taking the salute from all contingents)
Indian PM - Narendra Modi.
In India 🇮🇳 The president is the supreme commander of Indian Army, While Prime minster is the supreme commander of the Indian Air force and Navy. So its not like the president don't have power. They can declare war or conclude peace for the country. Great vid by the way 😊😊😊
Bike riders are all lady soldiers from the Corp of Signals.
As a Canadian I'm curious about why they have a hockey float :D cheers
Field Hockey

India has both President and Prime Minister
President - Draupadi Murmu
Prime Minister - Narendra Modi
Jai Hind jai Bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
