A human life is a human life. Truly heartbreaking for these families who lost their loved ones. I'm glad our responders can return their bodies to their families. God bless them.
I bet it was that stupid stop start system Democrats made them installed to save the planet from global warming that doesn't exist
A human life is a human life. What is that mean the repeating????so a human life is a human life, not anything else? I got it and we all here know it!!!!
My heart breaks for the families
I’m speechless just now seeing this. My heart goes out to everyone involved. 😢 this is just heartbreaking
The ship was speeding: 9 knots in a 5 knot zone.
Miguel Luna was from El Salvador 🇸🇻, rest in peace with all the victims, horrible tragedy.
Que dios los Tenga en su Santa Gloria de un Colombiano.
There all Latinos 💔
😢
Better off investigating why tugs were dismissed by the pilots 20 minutes before the ship ever got to the bridge.
You don't even need an investigation. I can answer that. Under normal conditions, the tugs are dismissed by the pilots so that the ship can pick up speed. Tugs do not go very fast, and are at considerable risk of literally being "tugged over" and capsized by a ship they are supposed to be tugging if it out runs them.
There are nowhere near enough tugs to escort every ship that far every time. I’m afraid your “expert” badge needs a little polishing.
This bridge, and others like it, should have had protective barriers around their supports already. The fact they don't already is inexcusable. It shouldn't take a tragedy to mandate that.
They do. Do you have any idea what kinda of momentum that ship had?! Come on, don’t spout nonsense if you are ignorant to the facts
Ships entering American waters should obey American standards
@@misledprops This one did not! Maybe you're the ignorant one, buddy.
Those ships have backup upon backup of power. They simply do not loose power. And they can still be steering regardless.
There is no such thing as ships. Or water. It's a hoax just like the JFK thing.
*supposed to
Meanwhile in reality it's supposedly a ship from the 70's, with an all indian crew, working for China (where corner cutting is standard)
Not when you don’t maintain them
Which is why ships are flagged in nations that don’t require this

Busy meeting their DEI goals.
Can you imagine the face of the insurer of this bridge.....
They've already been relieved of responsibility by our Prez. The Fed is going to cover it.
Or better said: the lawyers of the company that owns that ship! The one, doing the damaging pays. Their lawyers working around the clock trying to find loopholes to shift the blame.
Yeah they would be like good luck. Its registered in east jabib, owned by bob, registered in dubai, etc
We saw the ship turn. How did it lose power if it turned?
Can be the current, can be that its rudder jammed sideways as the power went out .. Who knows, speculation won't really get far, plus, there's no need for it,the crew is all alive and well, and the real question is WHERE THE HELL IS THE INTERVIEWS WITH THEM or the audio recordings?
Called current
Something public school should have taught you
Current and wind.
When the power came back online it starts one side engine first. causing it to turn.
@@mkzhero if it’s no need for speculation why are you ending with speculation?
God bless the memory of the victims
A ship this size will carry at least 2 sizable diesel backup generators, a large battery backup and inverter system, + backup batteries on the bridge. "Lost Power" before hitting the bridge? I find this plausible excuse rather difficult to believe....something smells very fishy here.
so sad
Note to government: Don't take this lightly. Maybe it was an accident, but gather the pilot, the Captain, Chief Engineer, the crew the cook. Whatever flag the ship sailed under, prepare that country to appear in court. Besides the lives lost, Americans are going to have to deal with traffic, inconvenience, increased time on the road for labor unforeseen and incalculable expenses. Make an example...just for the heck of it. Flex and make other governments sweat. We're gonna sweat. If my bull gets loose in your China shop, are you going to be content with my simple apology? This is a major port. Demand the respect that that carries. Throw a tantrum. Just for the heck of it. Seize assets or land, this is going to have an enormous price tag. Lock some people up for good optics. Go berserk.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 BRILLIANT!!
We don't "make examples"...WE ARE the example 😂
Sounds like a real bad idea, that gets in the way of clean up, repair and investigation. They need to take care of what is actually there and not feed conspiracy theories.
@@BartonHans Investigations of those involved can take place parallel to clean up and repair. Do traffic police hitch cars onto flatbeds and tow trucks?
@@RobertWilliams-mk8pl I'll stick with my original reply and let you take care of the conspiracies and tow trucks.
It certainly nice to see that Pete wasn't on vacation for this disaster.😮
No Pier protection NTSB is at fault and criminal negligence
The NTSB has no regulatory or enforcement authority, they are investigators. Jesus, do schools exist anymore?
There aren't any Tug Boats in operation to guide the Vessel.
And why it regained power and bee-lined for the bridge…..
Did you see the thick black smoke pouring out of the smoke stack before it hit the bridge
You are truly a master of “Occam’s dull butter knife”. 😂
The lose of power didn't cause this it was the very deliberate alterration in the course from the main channel at the exact time to cause the collision. If the dramatic change in course hadn't happened the Dali would have proceeded in a much more straight line and miss the bridge support. The crews reasoning is beyond comprehension
Nice try kid. The ships crew wasn’t in control of the ships direction at the time. Understand the basics of cargo shipping before spouting ignorance
@misledprops wrong both times I served in the uscg in the 80s in the chessapeak area. The shop was in the main channel and under control before power was lost. The rudder would have been amidship all ready. As is was a straight shot under the bridge and fir many miles afterwards. Ships that big that long and that heavy don't react very quickly. Once power was lost the helm wouldn't just change like it did. With out alot of help.
You are truly a master of “Occam’s dull butter knife”. 😂
Check the log to see if Logaswamy did the needful.
This boat is based out of Hong Kong
the state new this would happen soon or later? use tugs this would not of happen?
Wonder if the workers taking a break in their trucks and didn't hear the warnings? If the polices were able to stop the cars why noone went in or radios these workers to get off the bridge 🤔🤔🤔
They should check the bridge as well. It was built 50 years ago when world trade was not as high in volumes as now and thus very heavy weight ships pass daily. Our engineers know the problems in every bridge in this country. The President should write checks for fixing these bridges. Otherwise, the costs will be extremely high on people, the economy, productivity and prices.
The $1,000,000,000,000.00 infrastructure bill wasn’t enough? It passed in 2021. Why wasn’t it already rebuilt or fortified?
Don't expected Republicans to support the bill but do expect them to say cheese for the camera at the ribbon cutting.

How about an investigation into why the ship turned purposefully to hit the bridge?
It lost power.
The NTSB investigation will be thorough.
No power it couldn't turn lol
Odd that the moments the power was on it never tried to correct course.
@sashleymo4 they were trying & issued mayday calls, local police were able to close the bridge entrances before impact.
3:20 ya because no senators live near by.... what a joke this country has become.
Yeah East Palestine says hold my beer.....
Right! This disaster deeply affects the DC metro area and the mid-Atlantic where all of the DC cronies have their mansions.
All the people in the comments praising Biden like “This is a real president who takes action! Thank you Mister President!” Are the reason why our country is doomed.
Yeah it’s still very very (fishy) It lost power right before it hit the bridge, who’s eating this?? I’m not , there’s more to this and I believe it wasn’t an accident, and I don’t believe they’ll tell us
Looks more than sketchy. Francis Scott wrote the words to the national anthem. These ships supposedly have safety systems and redundancies. It just doesn't make sense.
Did you look at the video? Something looks weird about the way it went down but I have no knowledge of engineering like that.
@@J.B.1982
It was a non-redundant structure (truss), and apparently continuous over the piers affecting adjacent spans too. Didn't see if it hit the pier cap, bearing, or truss, or all of them.
The ship was cited for propulsion deficiencies by the Chilean authorities in 2016 when it was nearly new. More likely is that the owners have been trying to cut corners on maintenance from the beginning. You should go fishing elsewhere for a conspiracy theory.
You are truly a master of “Occam’s dull butter knife”. 😂

If the criminals in charge say it's a conspiracy theory then you can be sure it's the truth. Definitely on purpose.
Lol
Truth.
It lost power. Cannot steer without power. So the current will take it where it goes.
You cannot explain the movements of the ship by watching a video. The NTSB will explain its movements.
