Hello, my good friend, the video was excellent, I enjoyed it very much. Of course, before the video itself, I must say that your title and thumbnail attracted me
@@derdorfmensch6628 Thank you for the feedback! 🙏😀 Many of my viewers doesnt seem to be enjoying this content though, not sure what to do about it. I enjoy watching these videos so might continue anyway.
I may be the exception, but I find these videos interesting. Each plug involves a whole different set of decisions. Will there be a borrow pit or will the subsoil come from upstream of the plug? From where will the cover come and what will it look like when finished? And the forest is changing constantly. The orientation of the 'channel' is interesting. WHat hard work it was to dig this all by hand. I find restoration/ecology work to be of interest in general 👍
I have watched these videos several times, I find it super relaxing and it just sucks me in! I am not sure it was dig by hand, some parts (like here in this video) looks as if it could have been dug by hand. But where i am now it looks to me as if it was dug with a machine. Big piles every other meter, and i actually found an old cable, maybe from a cable excavator? Yeah the forest keeps changing, and so does the soil! Some parts i find the overburden to be 1 meter and only mud to build the plugs with! Thank you for the comment! 🙏
@@Stocksten-wl4ey That is interesting to find piles. Most likely a machine. In my opinion, pulling those pile back into the waterway is beneficial to the rewilding effort. They are a great source of all manner of life that will explode when it is spread out in the channel. The leveling does not have to be beautiful. Nature will take care of that. I would advocate for deep pits in the channel filled with random woody material. Better chance of finding clay and the pit will soak water deep into the soil. They will fill in overtime and become great deposits of fertility. If your interested in searching YT - there are some great videos titled something like "We flooded a forest" that shows what happens over time and in various seasons. I have to run out, otherwise I'd find it for you 😊

Thank you for the information! I Will look in to that! 👍🏼😀
Så mycket lera under ytan!
Ja!
Helt klart!
