I don’t feel the urge to visit anytime soon, at least not for material reasons. The fact that there are restrictions on speaking about Palestine makes it a lot worse :(.

We shouldn't. All these countries ruled by people, and even the Quran said we shouldn't depend our hopes and fears to people because they will let us down. I agree with you on the mosques, they were my favourite places to visit when I was there. These UAE and Arab countries are not Muslims' ally. Their only religion is money. The sheikhs of UAE are embracing Narendra Modi, the person who was responsible for the mass m.ur.der of Muslims in Gujrat. His party was also responsible to encourage riots in Delhi and many other places. He was also responsible for the destruction of Babri masjid.

Assalamualaikum Jan, being a Muslim who is livng in Saudi Arabia and who has visited Dubai many times, I have so many things to say to you Jan. Please hear me out.
1.) Firstly, I want you to know that Dubai is not so black and white as you might think. Yes, there are places where Haram exists and it doesn’t look good when those very same Haram places are close to big mosques, however, once you develop the ability to ignore them and only limit your places to all the Halal places which are everywhere in Dubai it becomes easier. This is exactly what many local Muslims do, they know Dubai is a city with a multiple layers of both sin and reward, both bad and goodness, both haram and halal and practicing Muslims avoid the touristy places where non-muslim foreigners come and act and dress inappropriately. Many local Emartis are well connected to their roots and ,actually spend time in the desert with family and friends with a bonfire instead of going to touristy places.
2.) Secondly, it is not appropriate to judge anybody of their faith and with all honesty despite the fact that I understand some your reservations against a highly urbanised modern city, it doesn’t justify judging the millions of Muslims who live in Dubai and in UAE. Yes, there are Haram things such as open beaches, pork sections in hypermarkets, alcohol in some places, prostitution and degeneracy in some places but such places also do exist in every major modern urbanised city and except Makkah and Medina, no city is an exception. Moreover, I'd say those places are only tiny percentage when compared to all the good places especially when taken the entire UAE into perspective where you can practice your religion safely and openly without any fear. Where you see Muslims women wearing dressed in complete Hijab and doing their business.
Furthermore, Allah says in the Qur'an : "Have you not seen those who boast of their righteousness, even though it is Allah Who grants righteousness to whomsoever He wills? They are not wronged even as much as the husk of a date-stone (if they do not receive righteousness)." Chapter 4 V. 49
3.) Thirdly, it is incorrect to say that everything in Dubai is built on Riba and by that extent saying everything is Haram. Dubai does have plenty of natural resources which makes it quite wealthy and as Muslims we should our Muslim rulers the benefit of the doubt. Yes, may be some part of it is Riba but to say that everything is from Riba is a misconception.
4.) Fourthly, I would sincerely suggest not to be too paranoid about trans-humanism as we are still light years behind in necessary technology and altho a healthy level of suspicion is good, it actually does little benefit to view every piece of technology as a project of trans-humanism. With regards to consumerism, yes consumerism exists, however, consumerism by itself isn't a problem until consumers are being scammed and duped but customer safety is ensured by the UAE government.
5.) Fifthly, no where in Islam does it say that you can't pursue science and achieve great technological feats because our Islamic history is filled with pioneers as such. What we have in Islam are general guidelines to not be heavily invested in this world at the cost of hereafter by neglecting the obligations. However, with the right intention making technology to help people and humans is actually a reward. And let's give our Muslim brothers in UAE the benefit of doubt.
6.) Sixthly, the Masjid imam at the Dubai Marina was actually saying in Arabic to the people to not follow their haram desires and the pursue the love of this world . And you see this kind of dawah to Muslims in every mosque in Dubai which is praiseworthy and must be appreciated.
7.) Seventhly, UAE is a muslim country with partial implementation of Islamic Law. It is not perfect and it has many flaws, yet it is better than the kuffar systems of governance. Every year millions of dollars are given in charity with the zakat funds, there are hundreds of schools where students memorize the entire Qura'an, there are dozens of Universities teaching Islamic studies, Ahadith, Fiqh, Usul Al Fiqh and much more, there are hundreds of Dawah events organised by UAE government for Non- Muslim tourists to understand Islam which end up reverting thousands of Non-muslims annually the likes of Andrew Tate for example, millions are fed for free in Ramadan by the government, and there are many aspects of shariah law being implemented like marriage laws, divorce laws, inheritance laws, settlement dispute laws, etc.
Finally, May Allah grant us the right understanding. May Allah bless you and give you steadfastness. Ameen !

    Good video.
One point to clarify you mentioned about women not very religious than man. Its not a general statement. The reason you dont see many women in the Masaajid is that it is not that they are not so religious as man, it is because Allaah has given them incentive to pray at homes whilst giving them the ssme 27 times multiplied reward of praying in the masjid. It is such thst the fitna does not occur because of the chances of free mixing to any extent.. However, if they would like to go to the masaajid then no one should stop them.

women can go if they like, for me [as a woman] I prefer to pray at home since I don't really like going out much, I'm not a mom but I still like to stay in lol
Usually woman prayer sections are smaller because there are waaaay more men than women, whenever I go to a mosque in Dubai, women don't fill the first row so I understand why it can be small. women prayer rooms in malls are mostly full tho since a lot of muslim women are shopping there, I struggle to get in sometimes.
Also I wanted to say, I'm vary happy to see a Slovak muslim, I'm not Slovak but I have a friend who I hope would accept Islam one day, this gives me hope.

@Mosaab twice I’m talking about Mecca and Madina which is in Saudi Arabia where a person can experience and see Islam things may not be perfect in the rest of Saudi Arabia but not Mecca and Madina where the Islamic holy sites are located and a Muslim must do the pilgrimage of Umrah/Hajj once in a lifetime if he/she is financially wealthy or and capable to Umrah/Hajj is also represents the 5 pillars of Islam and a muslim must do it if he/she is financially capable to do the pilgrimage

This life is a test and we cannot have everything that we desire. What is important is to be grateful of what we have, that we strive to do as much good deeds as possible and abstain from doing haram things. “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your busyness, and your life before your death.” Wish you success in your endeavours for this world and the hereafter. May Allah SWT continue to guide us all in His straight path, ameen.

At 7:48 yes you wear pants/trousers that come with the thawb. Since that thawb is white you wear white trousers with it (under wear or boxers first then trousers). If you go in the sun the white thawb can be seen through depending on the fabric.
Also if you are looking for a historical building Dubai is the wrong place/country. Dubai is like an artificial country, no historical place. Looking for historical buildings and places, go to Yemen, Oman, Jordan e.t.c.

This is one of the symptoms of end time as Prophet(SM) warned. Ineligible people will sit in power. This first came out in some of the muslim countries where leaders are double standard and going against Islamic rules and Cultures for the lust of power and worldly life only. Don't be disappointed brother, visit Qatar, Medina instead. You will find warm welcome for being a muslim even in the poor muslim countries like Bangladesh.

A narration attributed to a companion of the prophet ﷺ on the authority of Abu Ad-Dardaa’ is: “When you adorn your mus-hafs (i.e. the written copies of the Quran) and embellish your mosques, then destruction will be your lot.”
"When you start decorating your mosques and adorning your mus-hafs, then await your destruction." (Saheeh Al-Jaami’, hadeeth no. 585)
Ibn ʻAbbaas said, “When the sins of a given people increase, then their mosques become decorated; decorated mosques will only be constructed at the time of the emergence of the Dajjaal (Antichrist).”
The majority of Muslim jurists hold the view that it is disliked to decorate the mosques with gold or silver, engrave them, write on them, plaster them, or do any other thing that might distract the worshipper from his prayer. Ibn ʻAbbaas narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “I have not been ordered to build high, lofty, plastered mosques.” [Ibn Hibbaan, Abu Daawood, and Ibn Maajah]
Ibn ʻAbbaas said, “Indeed you will decorate the mosques just like the Christians and Jews decorated their places of worship.”
The version of the hadeeth cited by Ibn Maajah reads, “I see that you are going to build your mosques high after my death in the same way that the Jews built their synagogues high and the Christians built their churches high.”
Anas ibn Maalik narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The Hour will not come to pass until people would vie in boasting with each other in building mosques.”

Yep definitely a place of contradictions and contrasts. Dubai has a great location to get to a lot of other places in 6-7 hours, so a good place to be based. But hold on. What I miss about Dubai, or the Middle East in general is salatul Jummah. I prefer Friday's in the middle east. Also, praying saltul fajr then staying in the masjid until sunrise, if you know you know. Having more halal options too. I work in the cloud so I just need an internet connection.
I would say Dubai offers safety that many other countries do not, and that may only get worse. I do wonder if a person goes to Dubai to fulfill worldly desires, when they get bored, they may just turn to a masjid.
Muslims should be representives of Islam where ever they are. Many people don't like the idea of Islam, so at least the ones that do come don't mind the idea of it (first step), will see masjids and hear athan. They may receive the message, but will surely have no excuses.
Regardless, at least the ruler has a vision for his city and cares for his people. Which citizens of which country or city feel the government is working for them? GCC visa, great, Makkah/Medina are not far away, win!

Going to dubai to experience islam is like going to Las Vegas. It's only muslim on the surface, but dubai is formulated as an international city for the UAE to generate income away from natural resources. It is more islamic in the other emirates, but these are more closed off towards tourists therefore muslims can't really experience islam there.
in my opinion, if you really want to experience everyday islam you need to go either Malaysia, Bosnia or Indonesia. Bosnia might seem odd considering they're liberal, but the deen is very deep inside bosniaks.

Hmm I’d like to counter argue that Dubai is more islamic than other emirates. Everyone knows Abu Dhabi is. And if you go to smaller emirates like Al Ain, Sharjah… you’ll feel Islam much more. But all the others points you made are very valid. Dubai is like any other international hubs trying to grow income at the expense of everything sane.

Brother, Dressing up in Arab cloth is not Sunnah.
Every nation have their own dress codes.
And women can go to mosque if they want but not an obligatory ritual because it’d be very difficult for them to go to the mosque 5 times a day. But most women would attend Friday sermon every week, but again it’s not mandatory for them.
AllAH made it easy for them.
