Movies would reflect the vision of the creators and after be analyzed. If the academy seeks to impose racial or social parameter to consider if a movie deserves an nomination will be restricting the vision of the creator, and promoving the censure and margination of the art.
This is really sad... I can’t believe the academy will destroy the industry. The purpose of defeating racism is to end colour disparity and with this move all you will do is increase that. A movie should not be good or bad because of the skin colour of who made it or stars in it. You guys should know better than anyone. If you don’t care about the quality of a movie but the colour of who as done it or the cast, just watch those movies and don’t make studios act like a sheep. It’s sad that the studios will now force the directors to do the movie based on some senseless rules. I have nothing against the colour of the skin of anyone but this move is a first step for the end of freedom in the 7th Art that is called Cinema. Art is the vision of the artist, forcing art is the worst thing someone can do.

@@LanceDiazzz No one should win oscar just because of their race/background. Art and performance are the most important aspects of the Oscars and as a diverse person, I would agree to that. When I was in school I never achieved awards or grades just because of my race/religion I was awarded them based on the time and effort I placed in my dedicated hours of study.
