Hey! Thank you for the input. In this case, They utilized a Telefunken 251 microphone, paired with a Neve 1073 preamp for recording (pre amp only). Additionally, Teezio opts for the C800 microphone for certain vocals, particularly those with less midrange presence.
This video is one of most underrated video ever. I had problems to find a solution for my harsh vocals. I was using Acustica audio plugins to try achieve "analog" warm feel, tried multiple deharsh plugins like soothe, different eq types and nothing. After watching this video I tried this "Justin Bieber eq moves" and my vocals are sounding like I always want. Thanks brother
@@nunu9849I’m guessing a slowish attack and a slightly quicker release time so that the vocals don’t sound like they’re “pumping”. I like to think of it this way: if the vocalist is rapping fast use a quicker attack and quicker release and vice versa for someone who’s rapping slower
these stems would have had the eq and compression baked in, as you hear the eq change on one of the phrases for effect, so you're doing these moves on an already processed track? These are still good moves to deal with harshness...

From an engineering perspective, some procedures require a more technical and logical approach. it’s not in contrast with the artistic vision. They complement each other

It depends on the vocals register and key of the track. 80hz is the safe but you can even go higher a bit.
