ITS the mind SET. i arrived here 1995 as an Immigrant .... in the beginning its hard but in the long run.. you will adapt to the weather , lifestyle ..etc. .. i still like VANCOUVER. MILD WINTER, MILD SUMMER. RAIN IS OK.I LIKE GREEN...MOUNTAINS , OCEANS, RIVERS.... what can you expect in a CITY that gateway of Asia.. thanks.
I agree, thanks for sharing your opinion 😊
I agree with you. I think the main cause is the very high cost of living in Vancouver. I'd been there the last few weeks as a visitor and I can't believe how much it cost to have meal at restaurants. Tipping is mandatory and the minimum is 16% plus. It rains a lot in Seattle but nobody in WA seems to mind it and Vancouver seems to have the best climate in all of Canada. Snow is much much worse in Toronto.
You can’t have it all ..Every place there’s something doesn’t satisfy your expectations ..Just look at the positive side ..I’ve been here for 34 years and countingI love Vancouver ..
Agree.. thanks for sharing your opinion po 😊
I'm been living here 24yrs coming from Midwest Chicago (Illinois). Now I'm here at Seattle area (WA) which almost the same weather in Vancouver, BC (CAN) and I love it. I rather carry an umbrella, than shovel the snow and it easy to control driving in the rain than a snow and frozen road, at bihira kong gamitin ang payong ko. Yes you need to own a happy simple house, not a big house. I been here in the USA since in my early 20's and those problems that you are thinking, ay na-experienced ko din yang. All I can say is "for every problem , their is a solution" but. its hard to look for a beautiful places. Thank you
thanks for sharing your story sir.. Magkapitbahay lang po pala tayo. Tama po, better rain than snow
Hawaii, Portugal, Spain, South of France, Thailand.......
Good information for others who want to come here from Pinas. Watching your vlogs from Vancouver.
Thank you so much po 😊
CONTENMENT IS NOT THE FULFILLMENT OF WHAT YOU WANT, BUT THE REALIZATION OF HOW MUCH YOU ALREADY HAVE. WE HAVE TO BE GRATEFUL 🙏 EVERYDAY FOR ALL THE GRACES THAT WE HAVE. ITS A GRACE AND ATTITUDE. GODBLESS.😅❤😅😅
Thanks 😊
Be grateful pa rin .God is good...🙂
Totoo po yun 😊
Thanks Ternz for the video! I just uploaded my experience as an international student from the Philippines who studied in the US and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada and became a Canadian Citizen.
Stressful and long 8 years but definitely worth it ❤
Liked and subscribed!
Thanks also for liking and subscribing. I just checked your yt and naka-subscribed na din pala ako 😅.
Congratz din po sa inyong journey 😊
Thank you po! ❤
I love British Columbia! It is
The greatest place on earth ❤!
agree po 😊
There's no such thing as a perfect place..( low cost of living, high income, good weather, nice people, low traffic, etc)..its what you and your family can tolerate. You have have to give up some comfortabilities to achieve your desired goal..living in north America is totally different than the philippines..its up to you what you can compromise to achieve your goals. Good luck
Thanks for sharing your opinion po 😊
It’s the cost of living pressure - the main reason why people are leaving Vancouver and the lower mainland - everything else is secondary.
agree
I guess for the new comers here is hard . Pero pag mtagal na at settled na dito sa Vancouver mas maganda ang life dito may ocean and mountain range. Kami we live here in surrey and work in Vancouver for many years may bahay at full time job kaya ok lng .
Thanks for sharing your story po :)
The number 1 reason should be the high standard of living, I would rather live here , there is the mountain, the sea and nature.
in no particular order po yung sa list namin 😊
Watching from Brampton, Ontario, Canada ❤❤❤❤❤
welcome to the channel po 😊
I am sorry but traffic is part of life in a big city.I have lived here in Los Angeles California and it is part of life and you have to live with it.
agree po
Hello watching from vancouver also hahahah
Welcome to the channel po hope you enjoyed the video :)
vancouver is nice to visit but not to live in..rainy and gloomy..mas prefer nmin snow pero sunny like prairies..depressing ung laging ulan at gloomy weather..mahal ang cost of loving and hirap magkbahay..living in saskatchewan, ,having our own house at nakaktravel inside canada and us is big advantage living here kahit di magwork ng double job..
ang ganda po ng mga sinabi nyo 😊
Rent in Calgary is also expensive but if you buy is different , a lot lower price than Vancouver,, as you said prices of commodities is also higher.
@@solalbuerne7249 Thanks for sharing information 😊
Tama yung top reasons nyo Bro.
And where do you wish to go? Vancouver is one of the ideal cities to live in. Traffic and rain are not reasons. A lot of Pinoys lived there and are still there.
Traffic is no better in Toronto. It takes you 3x as long to go anywhere. Public transportation is ok when it works. I would rather have rain than snow and winter
Toronto po has the worst traffic in all of canada.
I'm just stone away from you here in Bellingham and used to live in Reno, Nevada. I wouldn't trade Pacific NW for any other place here in US. Don't let rain stop your plans :) Between mountain and sea theres so much to do. Cant have it all. Hight prices and traffic are everywhere. I concentrate on positives to lessen effect of things I hate. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing your opinion neighbor 😊
Your last episode told us you have a good job.. your reason leaving Vancouver are all ballony rain, traffic, high cost of living, housing those are present where ever you going ..Why are leaving Vancouver when already establish your family there ??
i said sir "if ever..." 😊
Unless you've worked in other countries particularly with low tax systems and higher salaries then you have no clue
Gaganda ng video niyo sir. Para kayong mix style ni Panlasang Pinoy at Doc Willie Ong 😅
Maraming salamat po sa comment nyo, very much appreciated po 😊
❤
Rain is better than snow at ambon lang rain jan sa calgary pag umulan delubyo. Mahal lang talaga sa vancouver you need an income of 200 k to afford a house but vancouver is nice
agree po 😊
may hailstorm din dito sa Calgary
We’ve been living here in dt Vancouver for 16 years near English bay. My hubby doesn’t want to go abroad before. When he came here, he fell in love w/the place. Where else can you find a mountain, the sea & lots of greeneries, all that in a city. Walking distance lng ang malls, groceries, church, etc. Nothing is free in this world, laging give & take. Vancouver is a tourist area & milder climate kya high standard of living.
A friend who lives in Saskatchewan jokingly said that 1 week na daw nglayas yung aso nila ay natatanaw prin nya. It’s because flat ang terrain. I do not know if he’s joking. All my father’s siblings are in Ontario, most of them in TO. All 9 of them. They migrated in the 60’s pa. I’ve also visited in the 80’s there but I got to like YVR more.
To each his own. My 2 sisters also live here in YVR. 1 is a bank officer, the other is at BC Transplant. My other sis is a nurse in Sea WA. We would’nt want it any other way. My other niece lives in Victoria BC. A beautiful place too.
thanks for sharing your story, its so beautiful po
Check Alberta, you'll love this place, check it out. The Economy here is still very good ,not like yvr it's hard to Find a job and the cast of living is high, here the housing is very much affordable altho price Gone up by 100% but still way cheaper than yvr.
@@tarosa6838 Been there to visit. Too cold for us. There’s pros & cons in every place. Thanks.
👍❤️😇
You mentioned that place is negative 24 to 40..
Lumipat kami sa Calgary at least ma araw kahit malamig kaya naman lipat kami noon after a year in 2005. Ok naman na dito sa Calgary also marami means of transportation if you don't have a car.

It depends on where in Ontario you are living
@Ternz_TV I haven't moved yet..just deciding coz I hv a Nurse friend just moved there from Dubai...do u live there any advice u can tell...thnks...
@@ritamejia4133 hello po, are you planning to move to the greater vancouver area? Here are my list po 1) Richmond (Rent high but peaceful)
2) Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam (peaceful, far from downtown vancouver)
4) Langley/Surrey (Rent is fair but far from vancouver and surrey central is dangerous come midnight)
5) Burnaby/New Westminster (rent super high, very close to vancouver)
6) Vancouver (Super super expensive rent, lots of junkies)
@Ternz_TV I lived n worked here in Vancouver for 40 years,,sick n tired of Marijuana smells...thnks...
So saan kayo lilipat?
Here in Ca. gas is $5.49+..75%-100% itinaas ng bilihin..Mahal din housing and rent..
Thanks for sharing your opinion
Here in our place is 1.40 dollars per liter of gas , sometime 1.34 . U guys welcome here in Ab.
Ang baba naman, swerte nyo po diyan
Add to your reason the problem on drugs, peace & order and too many homeless. Vancouver has the worst of these problems in Canada.
sa downtown vancouver true po yan
I live in DT YVR. In fact dumadaan ako sa Jim Deva park. I sometimes go home at 11 pm. My husband comes home at 12 mn. True me mga homeless n nka tambay. They sometimes ask for money. Khit nman di ka mg bigay ay mg thank you sila, me have a good day kpa. Khit bangag sila, di ka nman nila i bother. I know this for a fact coz I used to be a health care worker & my sis used to work for HIV AIDS. A long time ago, together w/the chief of police, they distributed syringes to drug users pra di lumaganap ang AIDS. Most Vancouverites are generous.

Dito po kayo nang abbotsford very affordable lahat pati gas very cheap.
sobrang mura nga ng gas diyan, whenever we go to abbotsford, imposible na hindi kami dadaan sa costco para magpagas kasi mura na sa abbotsford, mas mura pa sa costco
Edmonton po is the cheapest biggest city in canada . Peaceful and no traffic . Mahal na din Calgary and traffic pa
Edmonton, Beaumont , etc…
kumusta po ang wheather diyan?
Mahalga kung saan ka masaya.
agree po 😊
Well said.
Thanks po 😊
I think everywhere, from US to Canada prices of houses are tremendously unaffordable.
this is true po
Very expensive. for sure don't deny it. Philippines is raining , typhoon it. I been leaving here 54. yrs no complaints that why is green..
Thanks for the opinion
Suggestion ko research ninyo ang Calgary, sa inyong ethics at skills s trabaho mag wo work sa inyo to live in Calgary Alberta. I heard it’s a nice place too and affordable. Goodluck to you and your family 🙏
Thanks for your suggestion po, if God wills us to be in Calgary, it will happen (huwag muna ngayon 😅)
Edmonton is the best and cheapest housing to live in na wala traffic. Calgary is now expensive as well and traffic

Masyado n kasi mahal jn,after pandemic grabe nmn lalo n un renting.galing kmi ng richmond.5 years di. kmi jn.ok sna jn.masyado din masikip wla n exviting.pra klng nsa metro manila.
Parang okay pa naman po sa richmond, anyways thanks for sharing your opinion 😊
Snow and rain are natures way of healing hindi yan problema in fact I am more alarmed kung mahina ang fall ng snow sa BC dahil malaki ang epekto niyan sa mundo kung hindi nagkakaroon ng Polar vortex. About traffic yes in downtown Vancouver grabe talaga but compare to Metro Manila wala yan. In fact the rail system of Vancouver is one of the best in the world so taking the train transit is so much convenient than driving. I agree with housing and rent prices mataas talaga so its much better to take some housing outside Metro Vancouver dahil as Ive said the rail system is good. Gas prices are also true but Ill take it Im using a Hybrid car anyway so maliit lg ang consumption ko.
very good suggestions po on the alternatives.
Rail system is okay in Vancouver, far from one of the best while the bus system is not so good. Head over to Singapore, HK, Tokyo, Seoul and you'll see really good and very efficient rail systems with intervals of 1.5 minutes with more than ten carriages arriving at the stations
@@robocop581 I disagree while Japans Railway system is indeed state of art in Japan the quality of living is not comparable to Canada. We do not slave people here to die working and our business culture is relaxed no gender discrimantion. Also we are constantly improving, We are launching a new Broadway Subway Project which is a direct extension of the existing Millennium Line. Scheduled to open in 2027, the province of British Columbia is delivering this project in partnership with TransLink and the City of Vancouver.
@@dengallardo I lived in Vancouver. Hated the life as both my parents were working all the time. I was a latch key kid, worse kind of family life there is. Go look at the average Canadian and how they worry about cost of living and taxes. As for transit, I rode the bus and Skytrain for many years. It's awful. Even my daughter has negative experience with public transit when we briefly lived in Coquitlam eight years ago. Buses were not consistent and no explanation given as to why the bus didn't arrive for students that need to be in school. As for Broadway project, my brother lives in that area and he's so frustrated on the delays. In fact, I went to Blenz on Broadway a few years ago and the businesses along Broadway were suffering heavily. I thought for sure konting tiis lang tapos na ito. Three years later construction is still ongoing. If that project was in Japan, S Korea, Singapore or HK that short line would've been completed in less than three years and on budget. And don't get me started on Healthcare.
@@robocop581 No country is perfect and family stories are not the same. Our failures and pathetic way of life shouldn't define the life of aspiring immigrant wanting a fresh start. Canada has many flaws but it has many benefits also. As for healthcare we are miles away better than our American neighbor its not perfect but its so much better.
Omg. These are things my relatives are not telling us. I guess they dont want to hear also what they think we will say to them.
want to share a little bit more?
i live in winnipeg pero nag punta kami dyan. Sa Richmond ok
Thanks for the sharing your opinion sa richmond po 😊
You didn't mention, drug abused and homelessness crises which leads to high crime rate.
This is only predominant in downtown vancouver and in downtown surrey but not in other cities 😊
Try nyo kaya sa Alberta? Too much rain?

Don’t be fooled by $1.79 price tag without realizing they sold it per liter. I get it gas in Cali is expensive but CA is way costly. Drill Trudeau drill.
Try to immigrate in Oregon no tax we moved here since 2005 fr Bay Area
Thanks for the suggestion sir 😊
US immigration for citizens born in the Philippines (regardless of present second citizenship) is about 21 years of backlog wait according to the US Visa bulletin for F4 category as of 2024. I think that would be a verrryy loooong wait.

Well I hate rain and I’m frugal so I don’t think I’ll live in Vancouver anytime soon. 😂
either rain or snow lang po talaga option dito 😂
Leave po.. hinde live🤦♂️
@@Fredflinstone23 “leave”? Why would I “leave” a place I had not been nor that which I declared not to want to“live” in? 😆. It’s you that didn’t understand what I said. Let me say it again in a more elementary fashion so you’ll understand: I don’t want to LIVE in Vancouver anytime soon because I hate rain and I’m frugal 🤣. Get it? IT’S “LIVE”, NOT “LEAVE” (and you had the nerve to correct my grammar and spelling when there’s nothing wrong with it because of your limited understanding of English. lmao)
I lived in Vancouver from the mid 70s to 1989. I moved away because of limited job opportunities, high taxes and overt discrimination. The last straw was a bus driver that mocked an elderly Asian lady that was slow boarding the bus. Someone in the bus called out that racist bus driver. The bus driver reacted with anger and kicked everyone out of the bus. He left us at some random street far away from a bus stop. That was in 1987. I decided then and there Vancouver was not for me and in 1990 I landed in HK on a one way ticket and never looked back.
thanks for sharing your experience pero wala na pong ganyang klaseng racism dito (in my experience lang naman po)
