So hinde pareho lahat. Hinde tayo lahat pareho. So tama na yung pag kompara. Kahit saan mahal ang cost of living kahit sa pinas, dahil maliit sahod doon.
Well said.
Before pangarap ko yan mag canada. Kaya lang after doing all my research i found out na its not cupcakes and rainbows sa canada. May pinsan ako jan. Napaka weird dahil sobrang taas ng cost of living sa canada and yet ang liit ng sweldo. Tapos nag UK ang wife ko. Binisita ko sha dun at the same time nag explore narin ako ng work. Same story. So we decided na sa UAE nlng mag stay. Yes we wont be a citizen pero we can easily save and invest for the future. We can retire at the age of 55. (3 times based on minimum income sa canada and UK)Plus free schooling and insurance provided by the employer. So ayun.
Sobrang laki ng taxes..mentras malaki ang sweldo malaki rin ang taxes..I had a friend who retires in phil. for good..Sawa na sa snow yung husband niyang puti..
@@AlvinChua oo free schooling. Not from the govt but from the employer if you got lucky you’ll even have free housing. Hindi accomodation ah as in a real own house and company will pay for it. I am a living proof and im sure marame pang iba. Im so sorry to say this pero siguro either bago ka dito wala kang idea sa mga offers or kung matagal kana sa uae i feel so bad for you dahil mukhang dmo iniimprove ang sarili mo. I suggest improve your circle of friends. Malaking tulong yun.
I’ve been here for 17 years may kilala akong nagwowork sa etisalat as engineer din matagal na panahon ng di sila naghhire ng direct for etisalat. Maybe you’re right para sa kanila walang SCHOOL ALLOWANCE na provided ng company dahil both of his kids are attending home school. Dko kasi tinatanong yun personal yun eh. He also drives a lot pero provided ng company ang gas at sasakyan nya. Dalawa kameng may school allowance me and my wife so wala na kameng binabayaran sa school. I hope you find a way to break through. Good luck and all the best

Canada, UK, Australia are all suffering from high cost of living. Rentals, food, mortgage rise are making people homeless even if they have regular jobs. I live here in Australia. I was a teacher in college back in the Phil but here in Aust I became a gardener because my qualification is not recognised. After studying horticulture for 1 month I got a full time job in 2005, saved money for 15 years and bought a 2 bedroom house cash with my savings. Im lucky I am single and I dont have to pay mortgage. Ill be retiring in 2 years and have $15000 in my super. Im glad Im wise enough to save money for a house during the boom time before the pandemic. Age pension + super savings will be my source of financial needs. My advice is save as much as you can because youll never know your future situation.
You have a good plan, buy a mini farm in the Prov live off the grid with Solar and eat what you grow , chickens eggs fruits and veggies, my plan too., Retired with $1,000/ month. And SAVINGS!
@@venicedumandan1070 , I studied online for one month and got my certificate 2 weeks later. Because it was boom time years, I easily got a job in a local government. 15 years later I had enough money to by my own house with still about 150k dollars saving!
I live here in Sydney, pero practical ako hindi ako nakikipag susyalan.
Same with my family po living a simple life lang, wala kami utang kaya relax lang ang pamumuhay namin dito.
Nag umpisa umakyat yung renta mga year 2017.
Right decision to move and go out of downtown Toronto. Toronto is so crowded already, crowded also with bad people especially in downtown like in subway and other places. We came also in the same situation before, during our first month moving here in Canada. So medyo nahirapan lang kami to look for school na papasukan nila. My eldest is already CPA in the Philippines when we migrated here in Canada, my son 3rd year Nursing student in UST, 2 girls still in University way back in the Philippines. I always encourage them to study...study and continue thier studies. Now they were all professional but due to high mortgage and inflation, and mahal na ang bahay dito sa Toronto. Grabe sa taas lahat. Hope to see each other, pareho tayong nasa Toronto. You can just reply to my message to continue our communication. This is Roland from York Mills
Ung iba na nasa Toronto, ung may bahay, ibininta nila at nag move sila dito sa Ottawa,.as mababa Renta dito,1300 2 bed room, ung iba ginawa nila ang basement na isang kuarto,
Ganyan din ako dito sa NY, I was paying $1450 a month for my apartment. But decided to move to a furnished basement for $850 a month, saving me $800.. Just need to be practical. I'll save the $800 for a few years and put the savings for a down payment for a house hopefully.😅
This will serve as a wake up call sa mga nag a aspire pa na magpunta ng Canada. Not all are lucky and successful and that country is not for everybody...So mag isip isip po bago magsisi.... As you mentioned that it is no longer safe dahil marami na ring violators. Lets face it standard of living is high. You need to have two jobs to cope and survive. The house rent is high, weather is extreme, Descrimination is still strong kahit citizens ka na dyan, you don't know your neighbor, malungkot nakaka homesick, hirap humanap ng work na suitable sa natapos mo, mahal ng college tuition fees and mostly ang mga anak ay hanggang highschool lang nararating, unless you will apply for a "STUDY NOW PAY LATER"program ng govt.. i don't know if it is applicable in Canada. Canadians are leaving their own country to live and look for a cheaper place to retire. and some were already in the Philippines. While the immigrants are the one left behind doing those jobs the Canadians don't have the guts to do. I have watched that there is a Filipino homeless who is roaming around there, i guess he one that didn't succeed...
Kahit saan bansa ka pumunta and ur intention is para makaipon lang that's wrong.
Setting a GOAL and working towards it should be the most important thing one should do, SKILLED TRADES are indispensable and nobody can steal it from you, I'm a Plumber Electrician House Renovator, I can turn a dump into a million dollar house, I turned my EMPTY BASEMENT into a palace and the propective buyers just said WOW bought the house after seeing it online and a 20 minute tour, the RE Agent said as they left " we are going to give you an offer," called back in 45 minutes " They want the house, No Conditions" .🤑
Kahit saang lugar either US or Canada sobrang mahal ang rent ng apartment mag work ka lang para sa kanila then marami pang company very low ang pasahod nila
Calgary Alberta is cheaper, not as grand as Vancouver or Toronto, pero mas urban as compared to Saskatoon, Winnipeg or Halifax. Our 1br apartment na 2 train stations away lang from downtown is just 1270, built in 2017 so bago and modern pa naman. There’s a mall across the street, walking distance sa school/univ. 5 mins walk away from the nearest train station. At most of all walang PST, 5% GST lang. Yun nga lang madami ding homeless 😅
Before my husband and i live in sounthern California, my husband was born in Cali. But we decided to move out of state, sa mas maliit na town/city but still near to a bigger city. We did the right decision, now we have our own house, living more comfortable. And also day care is so expensive, kaya we decided na my husband will work at night and i work in the morning. Yes! We need to sacrifice our time until yung 7 year old namen is ok na maiwan sa bahay kasama ng anak nameng 13 years old. Mahirap but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Hindi na namen pinilit na tumira sa bigger city na sobrang mahal, honestly now a days its better to live in a small town, its peaceful and quiet, at wala ring traffic, mostly people know each other. And smaller town is mas maliit ang crime rate
And so far po it feels like medjo magulo dito, dahil po sa boarder crises. But if you want to move here in US, naku welcome na welcome po kayo, 😊
@Stray Cats yes, usually smaller town know each other, i live in a small town and mostly people are friendlier. Sa bigger city they don't know each other walang pakialaman, were i live right now our population is only 38k and mostly people live in our town are retired and i live also where the air force base is. So many people knows each other.
Usually there is like a facebook group or neighborhood group sa community that you can communicate with other people. Like i said i live in a smaller town, and iba sya sa bigger city, mostly magkakapitbahay walang pakialamanan.
I always watch buhay ng pinoy sa canada. Halos puro hindi maganda ang buhay nila. But i have sibling there in Vancouver. They are all in good situation.
Toronto is an expensive place living wise. There’s other places in Canada where living is feasible. It’s also discipline in budgeting and hard work. Anything is possible. I just fine ppl nowadays just want to have all the luxuries right away. This is way ppl back in PI don’t always think you can rely on family abroad bcoz they too have to live.
Tama ang 100k na kkitain ko jan while napakalayi sa Pinas eh dito na lang ako sa HK as a driver more than 100k ang sahid ko. I think it is the same with UK. I have friends who work for the NHS. Sobrang liit ng increase ng salary and cost of living is worsening. Some are planning to transfer to other countries like Australia and the Middle East.
Everyone tells a story based on their own experiences. Most stories of struggle and disappointment comes from those who are still new and adjusting to the new country. A lot of those who have been living here for a decade and more will only have good stories to tell.
As an example, about a month back, some friends in Pinas are complaining that onions now cost P20 apiece. Thats $0.50 apiece which is also ridiculous by Canadian standards. US folks feel it, and you can see it by the closures of big box stores, tech lay-offs...even everyone in Asia feel the repercussions of the pandemic. You cant keep moving around...eventually you need to put roots somewhere. If you move Canadian provinces to maximize your budget, I can understand...moving countries is a diff matter.
It’s not only you ang nakakaranas ng Hirap ng pamumuhay in Canada, kami din dito USA. I do it sometimes to buy cleaning products dahil mas nakakatipid ako. I remember just few years ago na when I go to the grocery store, I come out with cart full of food and some household stuff for under $200 …..NOW, I AM PAYING ABOUT $450 to $600! So sad. Just hang in there and keep your heads up……makakaraos din kayo.
Nakakalungkot. Here in Sydney and the rest of the Australia. Ang cost of living is grabe na. Rental crisis, high energy cost, etc. At least, here in Australia there's a rule of law. Still the BEst country to migrate.
As far as I understand, there’s a rental crisis in Canada, but really the case is the same here in the U.S. The pandemic gave some landlords the opportunity to take advantage of the situation to increase the rent on their properties exponentially and beyond the normal annual rates. Totally understand where you’re coming from and the decision both of you have made. May I suggest looking (in the not so distant future, of course) to buy instead of renting. This, really, is the only way to ensure you’ll have the same monthly cost when it comes to your living situation. It is good that you’ll be moving into a lower rent so that you’ll be able to save towards owning your own home. I’m glad to have come across your video. Good luck and God Bless!
Thanks kuya Ron. We are seriously considering moving to the U.S. after Olga graduates from college. We want to move to a state with no winter, cheaper housing, and better pay as a nurse. Looking at Nevada or Texas. God bless po 💙💙
@@teamkaskas At the moment, Nevada, Las Vegas, specifically, has one of the higher homes and property prices in the market. I should know, my wife and I seriously considered moving there ourselves back in 2018 when home costs were still reasonable. It does not help that the interest rates are at an all time high and that there was an influx of people moving and home buyers into Las Vegas from California and other states during the pandemic. Most warm weather states are great for raising families but, and then again, they are really expensive especially these days. However, the housing market does fluctuate and in a few years, hopefully, not only will the interest rates decrease but prices for homes should return to a more affordable and reasonable rates. Additionally, there's always a need for nurses here. It just depends on where you would like to work and which pay you would settle for (fyi, nurses make a real good living here depending on which type, of course, i.e., RN, CNA, LPN, etc.) Like I said, your plan is ideal since it will afford you some time to save and really do some serious consideration with regards to where you would want to establish your home next. You guys should be fine as you've stated that you, at least, have a game plan. Good Luck and God Bless!
@@roddizon2242 understandably, this is the norm in areas mostly outside of NYC. Those who can afford, purchase a single or, even, double family home. They remodel (flip) and turn it into a multi-family unit. They make 100% profit immediately coz they rent it out to those without papers and can only pay their rent via cash. They fit 2 to 4 families in these homes but it lowers the values of the house and the properties around it because the area gets congested and the houses end up being run down like the rest in the neighborhood. Now is definitely not the time to buy, unless you’re retiring and bringing your money back home to the Philippines.
It's like that all over the world...if live outside the city..you can save...or buy motorhome and an affordable park..Not everyone is given opportunity for a better life and safer place...great that you have a parent to support you.
Tama kayo brod, I have been in Canada 34years na since I was 13yo. It’s not the same country that I arrived in. If we stay in Canada mga kabayan we will die poor. Leave while you can.

As immigrants coming to Canada is not an easy feat…we have to start from zero and we can’t choose what job we will have.but don’t get me wrong it’s just for starters…1st advice, mg start kayo manirahan sa small city..mababa ang cost of living tapos kayang kaya ang double job..just like us, we came here 2011, we live here in Red Deer Ab..small city with a lot of work sa healthcare since mga nurses kmi in the Phils…after 3 yrs working in a nursing home nkakuha kmi ng bahay single home..and then we walk our way through mg up grade as nurses..start tlga mamuhay sa small city..kc kung sasabak agad kayo sa toronto or vancouver mahal tlga..we are very [happy] we are here in Red Deer life has been good..ang daming pinoy from Totonto or Vancouver na ngrelocate dito…

Rental downtown TO is around $2400 for 1 bedroom. Maintenance is $600 monthly interest rate it high as well. It’s not worth buying investment properties not including property taxes for these condos also went up plus you need insurance for your property.
Snippet: It's okay to live abroad if you have the means or a sustainable Job that can support your araw-araw needs, but not Okay kung wala ng mapapasukan na trabaho either in Canada or somewhere else abroad -- OK na bumalik sa bansa kung ganon na ang sitwasyon. This is the truth = Walang esang country lang sa Earth na kayang tumolong sa lahat ng poor civilizations -- there's no such successful country capable of helping everybody poor on earth. Bawat motherland ang its gov't should know how to build their own society and economy for their own people, and not have to travel abroad expecting foreign gov't and its people to feed them All, or to provide work for them -- life doesn't work this way. Each country has their own language and own currency they are free to spend to piece their poor society together -- without disturbing other lands and be angry at their society, or take over their gov't created economy away from their own local citizens. Marami ng housing subsidy na tapos sa Philippines ngayon na open to all unemployed without income or work to move into -- for OFW included. Come home and stay home where you and children are safer to work, play, and live. God bless, PH. may2023.
Try to buy a unit or house it’s the same as what you pay for rent. Interest rate here in the US is also high. Plus downtown areas are so scary nowadays. Your safety is more important.

Correction: Healthcare in Canada is not "Free" , just looks that way because our employer pays that premium, I have been here since 1973 and I used to pay for my OHIP thru my Paycheck deductions, the problem now is ALL NEW IMMIGRANTS THINK IT IS "FREE" thus overloading the system, their newly immigrated parents come and are treated for anything even tho they have not payed a dime in taxes, yes they think it is "FREE".
Things are cheaper in the Philippines but life is hard and jobs pay nothing. It is cold 50% of the time in Canada , so with my $200,000 I will retire in PI with my $1000 pension.
Hello. Basta once a month lang. That way nakakatipid sya. Plus over overtime ang work. Walang bayad dahil stay in ka. Need magtiis.
Kuya so sad to hear your situation. It's happening to many young couples like yourself. I'm guessing you just started in Canada. Nasa usa po kami since 1991. We started sa Connecticut in 1991 then moved to Georgia in 2002 mas mura at mild winter. You can still buy a good house in a good area for under $300k usd. Panganay ko po me asawa at bahay na with low interest. Si bunso gagraduate sa 2024 & will face housing rent issues. 3br house here rents for $1900 & up. We're mid 50s ok pa nman health. Save your $$ & go back sa pinas. USA & Canada will collapse slow but sure. It's sad :(
Hi po mam/sir. 18 years na po ako sa Canada. Bago po mag covid, nag decide na po ako na mag for good sa Pinas. SK was booming place in late 2000s so he and his new wife managed to buy a townhouse sometime in 2012/2013 for just $180k. He is doing well now as a Research Scientist. Look for a good area of new devt homes..balita ko sa Alberta ang pa boom ngayon. Currently nasa UAE ako. Before pangarap ko yan mag canada. Kaya lang after doing all my research i found out na its not cupcakes and rainbows sa canada. May pinsan ako jan. Canada, UK, Australia are all suffering from high cost of living. Rentals, food, mortgage rise are making people homeless even if they have regular jobs. I live here in Australia. I was a teacher in college back in the Phil but here in Aust I became a gardener because my qualification is not recognised. Honestly.. mahirap talaga mamuhay abroad dahil nga din sa high cost of living.. madami kasing mga pinoy na ayaw maging practical… they have this thinking na dahil nasa abroad sila dapat bongga din ang mga tinitirahan ang mga pinagkaka gastahan.. I live here in Sydney, pero practical ako hindi ako nakikipag susyalan.
Same with my family po living a simple life lang, wala kami utang kaya relax lang ang pamumuhay namin dito.

It just depends on where you would like to work and which pay you would settle for (fyi, nurses make a real good living here depending on which type, of course, i.e., RN, CNA, LPN, etc.)
Like I said, your plan is ideal since it will afford you some time to save and really do some serious consideration with regards to where you would want to establish your home next. You guys should be fine as you've stated that you, at least, have a game plan.
Good Luck and God Bless!
after 2 years $600K na, ganoon kabilis ang bentahan.
Ganun talaga life. No such thing as perfect world. Kaya laban lng and do it the right way and ask guidance from God. D2 mataas din standard of living.

Nagdowntown pala kayo kuya Aman.
That’s an excellent and practical decision. Along with that, your baby and your mom will have a strong bond. 👍👍👍

Hirap din dinanas nya while he was doing his course and di ko din matulungan dahil nandito kami sa Toronto. After 3 years, he got his PR, finished his Phd and got hired by the university hospital in SK as a med researcher. SK was booming place in late 2000s so he and his new wife managed to buy a townhouse sometime in 2012/2013 for just $180k. He is doing well now as a Research Scientist. Look for a good area of new devt homes..balita ko sa Alberta ang pa boom ngayon. Try and buy prop from those new devt and dont just rely on rentals kasi pataas ng pataas ang rent and ur not gaining equity.
