Good decision!. Kilalanin mo muna si Jesus as your Lord and savior para makadiretso mong makausap ang God the Father. Yan ang sikreto ko. 78 na ako and living peacefully and happily here in the Philippines.

I understand your decision. Living here in CA for 35 years, established and settled with wife and kids on their own, I still like going home every now and then and spend part of my retirement there like many do. I agree that life in the Phil. is a lot happier, less comforts but happier. Money doesnt make one happier, more comfortable but not happier.

When I was new in Canada, yung unang taon ko rito wala akong inisip kundi bumalik sa pinas and be with my family and friends again. But I knew that if I go back, people will say I am a loser. Opportunity is in Canada. May descrimination dito, pero to think about it, mas grabe ang discrimination diyan da pinas!
Ano ang gusto mo? sobrang init o sobrang lamig? Parehong mahirap pero I choose cold over hot and humid weather anytime!
Iba-iba ang kapalaran ng tao we cannot say that you will be successful here but if you tell yourself that you will be happy in the Philippines then it is your choice.

My parents immigrated to Australia in 1979 and hence, I have spent most of my life here. However, we visited my grandparents when they were still alive and have vacationed in the Philippines many times so I know the difference in lifestyle between Australia and the Philippines. I have had a really good life here, but even so I long to reconnect with my birth country, so much so that I am planning to retire there soon. I love Australia, it will always be my home but we only have one life to live, and what better country to explore than my birth country!

Malungkot kapag di mo kasama family mo, find a way na makuha sila, it takes time pero yun ang the best way not just for you. I totally 💯 agree with your decision sir Giddy. Based on my own experience here in Canada actually it is not what other people said. Canada is one of the wealthiest country in the world. The education level is so much higher. For example you graduated in Canada and you can absolutely work anywhere in the world professionally. The standard of education is higher compared to Philippines. That’s why first thing I did when I came here is to upgrade my education. I worked during the day and go to school at night part time. After 3 years of working I received my PR and open permit and at the same time moved out from my employer and seek for better opportunities. I landed my dream job to one of the largest company here in Canada and enjoying my 9-5 job for 25 yrs. Right now I am hoping for early retirement so that I can also go back and enjoy the warm weather in the Philippines.

There’s a big shortage ng mga medical staff. Kung 10 years ago ok pa sana.

It would take a generation to fix this trillion dollar mess that idio-tic Trudeau started.

Kung nasa pinas ako wala akong investment na sumusustento sa buhay ko ngayon, I retired at 57 at im comfortable with my life, 5 months in the phils, 7 months in Canada, pero wala akong trip o travel noong nagwowork pa ako. Basta kumita huwag gastusin lahat, mag impok while you are young.

We have our own reasons, respecting each of our own decisions. In my opinion, being a permanent resident on day-one makes one eligible to sponsor families. I have my family here with me in Canada, and I truly enjoy the multicultural life of Canada, learning new languages, etc. Some of our Canadian friends now speak Tagalog. Access to the world by us down to next generations is priceless. Life expectancy is longer, thanks to environmental movements promoting clean air, water, and safer foods. If one gets sick, we rely on our healthcare systems for surgery, expensive diagnostic procedures like CT scans, MRI, etc. We still live post-COVID thanks to advanced delivery of vaccines. We work hard and smart to give back to the economy of Canada. We love the Philippines too, and we would like to give back to our motherland one day and contribute to her economy by being kind and just employers for fellow Filipinos like us. Thank you for your time in reading this post... sa bandang huli, importante ang desisyon natin kung titira tayo sa Canada o Pilipinas, dahil parehong magagandang lugar ito.

Kaya importante po talaga na may passive income before going back sa Pinas and spend money wisely.. hindi rin po free ang healthcare dito sa Australia, even if may medicare kailangan mo rin magbayad ng private health and excess fees which I think is still a lot better compared sa other 1st world countries. Sa pinas, kung may private health insurance ka they still cover heaps. I guess me and my husband's mindset and goals are set to have a financial freedom and freedom to do what we want with our time while we are still young. I love Australia for what it is and what it has provided us but we can't see ourselves working till we drop and stressed sa work which affected our health na din.. so we really work hard to set ourselves before we go back to Philippines for good.

    That’s a good decision. I am Pinoy
Living also in Canada but I am with my family here is Canada. I am taking my vacation now in the Philippines and comparing Canada and Philippines, I think living wise it’s better in Canada but if you are living like yours (wherein you are too far from your family) then that’s a big problem. But my question is, you say that you are already Canadian citizen why you didn’t bring your family here in Canada so that you can be with each other.
In Philippines, health care is too expensive. If you don’t have enough money for medication then you will die here in the Philippines.
Education in Canada is much better. If you don’t have enough money for education there is OSAP that you can avail for your family.

    • @baconsenior9626

That’s on point po.

If you don’t prepare for your family and for your self, then Canada is a worse country for you. But if you prepare and go with the system without complaining, then Canada is a better place to live in. I tried US but I think is more worse for me. But anyway, compare to Philippines, although it’s my home country ai still opted to live in Canada. Living in Canada and visiting our home country Philippines is a good choice.

Immigrating to Canada now will be hard to start, not like 20 or 30 years ago. The cost of living is insane for newcomers. Imagine to find a full-time job is a hard thing to get, especially when you just arrived in Canada wla kang Canadian experience, and that's the first they will ask.. First, rent costs $1,850 per one bedroom. How can some from the Philippines afford to rent $1850 a month unless you have relatives that you can pay them rent for smaller amounts? Without support from family or relatives, you will not survive here with today's high cost of living. Without relatives' support, you might as well stay put in the Philippines. Before rent of one bedroom is about $500 to 700 dollars.

Yes, inflation, housing, talagang may problema. Yung vlogger nga na student visa, nka bahay at sasakyan na three years pa lang cguro.

Plus we pay hefty taxes. We're not discouraging fellow Filipinos coming here but the problem is there are less and less help that new immigrants can receive. 20 tom15 years ago it's in fact great to be here NOT anymore. Especially, if I see Filipinos being abused in their jobs just because they are not from here. Sorry. Canada is not for everybody. Life back at home is soo much better.

Nasa lifestyle yan.
