    So when you put the washer on you did it wrong? Or is it supposed to be on the outside of the clutch?

      I’m asking the same question it clearly shows it’s under the pressure plate but he assembled it wrong and drove it but he did show on screen that it’s supposed to be under the pressure plate

    Is there a easier way to get the cover back on I have to order a new cover cause I did exactly what you said not to do and cracked it I put motor oil and assembly lube on it and the shaft still won’t shift completely back on

    How tight do I compress the springs ?

    • @beardedvanadventures
      @beardedvanadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      All the way ..bolts should have a shoulder, when they bottom out your hood then just snug them

      @@beardedvanadventures Well I did that and it seemed the springs were compressed all the way and when I put it back together the clutch pull arm had no resistance. Trying to figure out what I did wrong. 3 friction and 2 metal plates came off and that’s what I put back in.

      @@beardedvanadventures I think they gave me wrong springs. I put old ones back in there and it’s working fine.

      Clutch springs really need torqued with a torque wrench.
      The manual gives you a small range, about 7 ft-lbs. Which isn't much, so it's kinda hard to do it by feel. Basically just past hand tight.
