I tried to cut out the worst of the sections. I aim for slightly better each time I make a video. I remind myself this is a hobby and I am not a professional so I normally have fun.
I’m trying to learn this new to me camera and I made so much of this I ran out of allspice. And I still haven’t figured out the camera issues. 🤦🏻♀️🤷♀️
This cooler weather is really making me want to bake something. Now I want to bake something with pumpkin spice! I'll use them all, I never met a spice I didn't like. Thanks for sharing! 🥰
I’m like you, I love spices but I rarely use nutmeg and cloves to be honest. They are both dangerous for pets and so expensive! I usually swap it out for allspice.
@@Jacksonsjob I have to share that I found a vintage Sunbeam Mixmaster at a thrift shop for $15. It's in mint condition and has both sets regular attachments and dough hooks. It's almond color with glass bowls, I already had a similar one in chrome with stainless steel bowls I inherited from Mamaw. It runs great, I want to take it apart to clean and add new grease/ oil. I think if I'd do that, possibly it would last another 50+ years.
I've never thought about making my own mix. And it seems like I end up buying it every year just to use it once or twice during the holidays and that's it. Everything's to expensive to do that anymore! 😬
The can I show in the video of pumpkin spice is so old that it expired several years ago for the exact same reason. 😁 And I got it on sale because of the dent. I hate to even show recipes with pumpkin spice, nutmeg or cloves due to the price of them. I saw a recipe the other day calling for a huge amount of saffron. And I was like…that’s more than a weeks worth of groceries. 🤣😳🤷♀️
Jackson ate everything except dried spaghetti. He would eat dried penne or elbows but not the strands of angel hair or regular spaghetti. I've got to admit, I'm not doing well without him. Most of the days, I can't function. I wrote a poem about him on my website. Maybe you could read it to him and Domo on your trip. Thank you for thinking of him.
@@Jacksonsjob I hear you, for me it’s been 7 months and tears are not far from the surface. I just made a Pork tenderloin for the road tomorrow…with a side order of baked potatoes infused with fresh sage, freshly ground pepper and horseradish (also dug up today). I harvested my sage today. I also prepared a Hellman’s style mayo, again with the horseradish and sage for the pork sandwiches that are sure to follow. What dog would walk away from roasted pork? I can see tails-a-waggin’ already. For millennia, mankind has sought to find the key to Immortality. The answer has always been right in front of us. As long as somebody remembers you, you live on forever.
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing, Neil. What a lovely gesture. I’m sure Domo and Jackson will love your gift to them. Today is Maggie’s 8th anniversary of her adoption from the rescue and it has been both wonderful and bittersweet. Her best dog and people friends came over for a visit. I feel like he was here in spirit and will live forever in my heart.
@@Jacksonsjob The hard part is Domo’s not around to degrease my frying pans! I’m in the country and I have my rowboat “chalupe” in french. I had modified the bow to have a custom fit platform for him to lay down on while we’re out on the water. It’s gonna be kind of empty to not have him riding shotgun. But, the lads will have pork roast tomorrow! All that play time will be rustling up quite an appetite.

Good recipe to have on hand. Thanks for sharing.
I was trying to practice with my new to me camera (fancy way of saying used, lol.) so I figured why not make a very basic video.
The video and sound was great as far as I could tell. I always have a learning curve with any equipment.

I knew you’d like this one. 😁
@@Jacksonsjob 👍😁Yes,such a fantastic aroma👩🍳

@@Jacksonsjob oh no, that's not good..Happy baking :))
At least you’ll know why I’m having issues with the focusing.

Nice find! You’ll likely be able to use that for 100 years not 50. 😂 They have seemed to have made everything with planned obsolescence these days.

@@Jacksonsjob I've never used saffron. I got a look at the price once. 😣 "no, uh-uh, nope...I won't be buying that".
I had to make a dish in highschool to get a passing grade once. It was 25 and that was back in the 90s!
Hey there! I'm heading up to the country tomorrow and will be checking up on Domo. I'd like to bring a treat for Jackson. Any suggestions?
