    Man.... what a great review. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this, and share all your insights. I love QC, and I really love my Drift LCT, so I was definitely interested in this. You provided all the info and details I needed - thank you. Love this channel.

      @@mstuehler I love the kind words ... Thank you. I started this channel to share my thoughts about knives, and it's not about making quick videos .... It's about talking about what I think. There are lots of channels that tell jokes or make videos under 15 minutes that have a much larger audience, but I'm just doing what I want to do. I don't make a dime off of this and put a lot of time into it, but I am trying to provide information. Of course we all have our personal bias and I try and make that clear in the video. i just bought this and i'm a big fan. I think for me this is my end all be all knife, I can get rid of everything else haha. Took me a little time to get the deployment perfect. As a skinny framelock the positions where ur not putting pressure on the lock bar are limited. Even middle finger flicking I have to position correctly or it's too much pressure on the detent.

    • @appalachianadvrider
      @appalachianadvrider  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Krozin yeah it's a great knife. I didn't have much of an issue positioning my 2XX hands on it but maybe our detent strengths are different, so that is a possibility. But it's a great knife if you need something small and light. I do wish they provided more of a finger guard / feedback on how high you shouldn't choked up on it, but that's only a nitpick complaint. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching and commenting

      @@Pocket_Candy_Randy I'm biased ... I like this company and like the steel. If someone only exclusively likes big and heavy knives then they aren't going to like this one. I have a need for a small light concealable knife in my rotation. I hope you enjoy it

    Just got my black version today. The only negative I can find is that with my very large hands(I'm 6'7") my fingers catch the frame lock and apply pressure. That pressure adds quite a bit to the pressure needed to thumb stud deploy. So much so that I wouldn't recommend a slow rolling the knife open. It can slip and send your fingers straight to the blade.

    • @appalachianadvrider
      @appalachianadvrider  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chrishall1407 I hear that. I wear a 2XX sized glove and I'm concerned about grabbing it too high. For me I can flick it open just fine, but I certainly have to reposition my hand and I understand what you're saying. A little more real estate would have been good, but then it wouldn't be a "gentleman's" sized knife maybe?

      @appalachianadvrider I guess the lct will be the next purchase. I had to get this first because I already have a lot of drifts. 😂

      @appalachianadvrider  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chrishall1407 love the LCT, especially using the reverse flick. I can't really thumb flick it (though I've seen others do it) but I can slow roll it out. I would say if you hate a hole opening then you might want to think about it. I love that it's much heavier and thicker in the handle with the contouring.

    Just got mine. Love it, but have had to tighten the pivot twice already. Really bad for a nearly $400 knife.

      @appalachianadvrider  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MrEric0822 that's is common with many expensive knives, but unusual for Quiet Carry. Nothing that blue thread lock can't fix. Maybe they forgot to add some during assembly? @ I added loctite last night. I could tell there was none on there from factory. Same happened with my Waypoint. I know how to fix the issue, but it requires knowledge and tools on my end right out of the box. Shouldn’t be that way for a high-end product. People who didn’t know what to do would have the pivot fall out. If it’s a known issue (which it is) they should add loctite during assembly or they should fix the issue somehow.

    I wouldn’t worry about the early lock up. Why? It’s a frame lock. So as your holding the knife you are squeezing the lockbar. It’s a safe knife. Valid point on your first issue however if you have larger sized hands. Like your no nonsense approach to reviews. And I say this respectfully, just keep them a little shorter and stop repeating the same things. But you’re definitely a channel I’ll be watching.
