Yoda’s Theme
Composed by John Williams
In June 2017, The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) aired a concert called “Galaxymphony” performed by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra /DR SymfoniOrkestret, the two choirs Hymnia and Camarata with various soloists conducted by Anthony Hermus.
The concert was hosted by legendary TV host Jakob Stegelmann and featured music from a variety of sci-fi movies including Star Wars.

Yoda's theme is underrated. So beautiful
Yodas theme is underrated, like superman's love theme.
I read somewhere that JW considers it his favorite.

Same here. It was Yoda's way of telling Luke and us that we all need to banish our doubts and believe ourselves and abilities.

this was star wars at its best, when The Empire Strikes Back made a little boy realize he was much more than his small stature, and the universe was what we made of it, be that good or evil. when yoda tells you, 'luminous beings are we, not this (pinch) crude matter' how could I choose any but the path of the light?
You made a great point, it made a little boy feel this way and it’s part of why you love Star Wars. You’re not a little boy anymore and the nostalgia you feel for those movies is what other generations are going to feel for the prequels and sequels and that’s okay

This is the first track that feels completely part of the 80s style of composition for John Williams. It sparks mystery, innocence, wisdom, hope but also love, naiveness, life and passion on what is the right thing to do. This is truly one of John’s biggest and most underrated masterpieces.
This theme always makes me think about all the dogs I've owned. Reminds of how great they all were in their own ways.
I recently lost my beautiful little girl and this tune came to mind

This theme reminds me of how wonderful and magical Star Wars once was. They have not been able to recapture that magic since the original trilogy, imo.
It reminds me of childhood. And how magical it was to enter the Galax for the first time.

Innocent, fun, cheeky at times - but with all the simplicity and beauty of purity and wisdom. This feels safe to me; it feels like I am protected in its presence. There is nothing at all threatening about any part of this. This piece is why John Williams is the maestro of themes in my eyes. He captures the essence of Master Yoda in musical form.

My uncle tragically pasted about 4 years ago and he was a huge Star Wars fan. I missed him a lot today. May the Force be with you, Uncle. You may be far, far away, but I will always carry you in my heart.

I've even tried to do so myself, but there is literally nothing.
The Only thing that os an equel is Lord of the Rings. Nothing comes close to those two in grandeur, wonder, majesty and sheer epicness.

I can't stop tearing up listening to this. If everyone on Earth had a pure hearted Yoda like individual in our lives teaching us, our world would have been much different than it is. I assume that this is the message JW wanted to portray with this absolute master piece... Hope, compassion and peace. The pillars of the Jedi knight's beliefs.....

although TBF in comics, Jedi Padawan also bullied Anakin, it's sensible writing. understandably they're not Jedi knight yet. But even then it really portrays the real world, "everyone watch star wars". In SW parallel to what happened, "Jedi became Sith", time and again.

Anyone notice how this song feels like a lullaby? The melody is effortless, dancing like clouds among the stars.
The theme is like Yoda, and like a mountain lake that is wide and deep, peaceful and constant. You can just feel the majesty.
