    Thank you very much for the video! Very helpful - information is good and clear and camera work is done well.
    One thing that would be awesome would be to provide the part numbers, quantity and torque specs. Small detail but makes videos that much more helpful and really adds value.
    Another helpful thing I find in videos like these is showing the struggle of getting a part out or a nut/bolt loosened. Helps to see what ultimately worked for you and highlight at least one option for a potential challenge. Mistakes or confusion is very relatable to don't feel like it needs to be excluded.

    Absolutely perfect video. It was easy to follow - I changed all the injectors, coil packs and plugs. Car runs perfect now! I dont know what the issue was, but I figured I might as well change all of it to be safe.

    This is very entertaining. Can't wait to do this project on my Taco. There's a junkyard near me with a 3rd gen 4runner with a 3.4 in it. I hope the fuel injectors are still in it, that way I can send that set to be cleaned and remanufactured.

    Great job, and thanks for the videos. Between yours and Timmy’s, I think I could do this. I have a P0306 misfire. Had the spark plugs and ignition coils replaced and still have the misfire, so I suppose this is the next step. Already got my refurb’d injectors from motorwest. Thanks!

      Just had my spark plugs and coils replaced . It was $480. Still misfires. I’m going to have to do with one myself.
      Did u try replacing the spark plug wires first?

    • @eljefeslash
      @eljefeslash 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danyo6317yep, plugs, wires, coils. It was fine at first (a lucky startup) after replacing those items, then it started again at next startup. For me, at least, the final verdict was the injectors. I sent my bad ones to Motorwest (after I replaced with their re-man'd ones) and they confirmed the one that was showing in my CEL cylinder mis-fire was, indeed, bad.

    I'm going to do this operation this coming week hopefully. I am going to replace the fuel pressure regulator too, as long as I've got things dismantled. I have reason to believe that it's faulty, due to a condition of being difficult to start after having been driven for awhile. (It starts right up after having sat overnight). Some people (here on TH-cam) have managed to replace it without removing the plenum, but I was unable to do so, having difficulty reaching/accessing it. Thanks for your vid.

    • @rustbucketproductions
      @rustbucketproductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      While it may seem like a lot of parts to remove, it is quite an easy procedure with no special tools needed. Just a little patience. Hope the job goes well for you.

    Decided to do this project, definitely was in over my head but we got it done so thank you for this tutorial. Would you recommend using Seafoam in this engine? Still having a check engine light with a stored misfire. Seems to be the case when it's getting colder outside. Thanks again!

    • @ccubedmedia5925
      @ccubedmedia5925 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got the 3.4l and I used seafoam to clean out my intake manifold. A friend's dad of mine who's a fuel specialist at Ford recommend sea from in the gass tank too. Currently, I've dumped half a can in...hoping it'll clean out the crud I can see lower in the valves

    • @hankhill3417
      @hankhill3417 ปีที่แล้ว

      Change the fuel filter. It’s easy. Buy only oem there are legit Toyota dealerships on eBay that sell everything you need at good prices

  • @itseric1jzson
    @itseric1jzson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just an FYI you don't have to disconect the throttle body from the upper plenum for removal of intake manifold.

    • @itseric1jzson
      @itseric1jzson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another FYI: you don't have to disconect any fuel lines from the rail to remove the injectors. There is enough space to get them out after removing the 2 bolts per fuel rail that are holding the rails in. I would recommend disconecting the fuel line that's between driver side outer wheel well/ fusebox and where both the plenum's meet.

    What did the truck do with bad injectors? Or symptoms? I have a 99 with a P0172 system too rich. I checked for vacuum leaks,cleaned maf sensor, etc. it’s hard to diagnose these trucks because I can’t use the scanner to shut off injectors. All sensors are good i guess i’ll try replacing injectors next

    Hello friend, did you change the injectors due to some particular error? My Prado 5VZ has excessive consumption and they recommended that I put new injectors, I can't find any other way to test them, but the fuel tank doesn't give me more than 250km.

    • @rustbucketproductions
      @rustbucketproductions  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I had the error code P0304. Here is the video I put together on how I diagnosed it was the injectors. th-cam.com/video/RlkuNg7pt1Q/w-d-xo.html

    How long did this process take you? How would you say the results have been over a longer period of new injectors?

    • @rustbucketproductions
      @rustbucketproductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      The job took me a few hours plus some additional time to make sure I had all of the proper tools and parts for the job. The results have been great so far. Not a single misfire, decrease in MPGs or other fuel related issue since the install.

    • @rustbucketproductions
      @rustbucketproductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming that the engine is swapped into the 2nd gen, the process should be similar but I can't say that it would be exactly the same.
