    Table Tennis Daily, Guys, thanks for the heads-up on this new ball...when is the date for this new ABS ball to be played in tournaments? And, what is the cost on these new balls...poly vs. ABS...ball per ball (on the average, for the major brands)? and when are the ABS going to be in the stores?

    Your reviews needed more talking and less playing, IMO. Past reviews had a lot of just you playing with the equipment, which I find not as effective as what you did here, which is throwing some strikes and say what you felt, right away. This is a positive comment, I apologize if my english is not very good, haha... This review feels a lot more natural, cause you explain how you felt in each type of stroke, loop os topspin, or any feature of the ball, like spin or speed. I hope this helps... To me this is your best review so far. Thanks guys!

    Are the new ABS balls generate more spins than speed compare to previous plastic balls? Im a more modern defensive players, so does this balls could have benefit the defensive players using pips to chop better than the previous plastic balls? which generate less backspins and also feels hard compare to non plastic balls used in the past.

    • @tommaynard8101
      @tommaynard8101 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      joll1e Yes I would say these have a slightly faster feeling and you can generate a lot of spin with the ABS balls.

  • @table_tennis_fever

    dan ur probably better player than me, but your forehand needs to be little more relaxed before u make the stroke, and slightly more waist/hip to snap into the ball. Again, full relaxation before the hit. That includes your wrist too

    • @TableTennisDaily
      @TableTennisDaily  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      HI Geoffrey, agreed that's probably what caused my back injury in the first place. Will give this a go in my next practice :)

    Our club plays with the DHS ABS ball. It's really nice. I'm assuming this ball plays equally as well and I'd like that too. Problem is that you can almost assuredly bet that Stiga's product will cost more than DHS. So why pay more for basically the same thing? Nonetheless, glad to see more companies going to this ABS ball. It's flat out better compared to the old plastic balls.

    • @TableTennisDaily
      @TableTennisDaily  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, I hope more tournaments and leagues start using this ABS material. It seems more durable to!

    when everyone loved the old celuloid why change? Is there a spicific reason behind that?

    • @Waingro808
      @Waingro808 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bigger, slower ball with less spin was supposed to create longer rallies which is good for spectators.

      Celluloid is a fire hazard I believe

    • @pennyblue6372
      @pennyblue6372 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      its dangerous cause its very inflammable and i think a few horrific fires happend cause of them.

    i do not agree with your comment that ABS spins better than Polyball. It is simply not true after 2 months of testing by several clubs in Hong Kong.
    but they are obviously much rounder and last much longer. the ball is faster as well.

      I hate this perform ball.. me entire club has had difficulties with the change the entire season! I do not recomend this!

  •  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Overall is the sam manufacture for all three brands in China....that's why these three best ball in market, Frendship 729 is getting ball from same production now too, more and more brands are get ABS balls now...

    Nothing beats Yinhe 3 star 40+ balls...I'm not biased its just my opinion of using a Yinhe ball for over 6 months and its still not cracked.

    • @patela21
      @patela21 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may be right. but I'm happy with Yinhe and very rarely find an imperfect ball in a pack of 6...that was not the case with Stiga or any other european ball like xiom, roundness varies, bounce factor varies.

      HI Stephen, what balls do you find give you more spin?

    • @stephenphoenix-roberts9447
      @stephenphoenix-roberts9447 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I never got on with the plastic ball I find on contact it spring off the surface of the rubber before the sponges able to take effect. I use andro beat so it's never going to be the quality of the rubbers I use or technique as I played county for 25 years. My favourite ball was butterfly poly. I find the game is nower days designed towards speed rather than spin. Thanks for replying lads.

      ABS plastic plays far differently from celluloid, it feels stony. Much less spinny, and overly bouncy. Poor speen --no control -- a lot of missed balls. The rally only lasts three strokes. It is some disaster on the spectators. Sorry....

    New ball plastic more bigger less spin. Old ball plastic more spin, weight balance. This ball can kill some player that using forehand loop smash, example xu xin. At the past how beautiful how strong how spinny forehand loop smash by xu xin. But now if xu xin play with same style, it easy can be block even that player harimoto.

      Are all positive reviews commercials? Many companies will send free products out for review. If these two were paid additionally from Stiga to perform this review, then it goes from an objective review to a paid endorsement.
