    What are the differences between a 40, 40+, D40+, and S40+? Cool video as always.

    • @pingskills
      @pingskills  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ah yes this is the seamless vs the seamed. We should look into the differences between these some more.

    Would you say training and matches with a good plastic ball and having the multi/robot sessions be celluloid (as many have remained at the club) is a good option or would a lower quality plastic ball be a better option?

    • @pingskills
      @pingskills  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not a bad option. There are not many lower quality plastic balls at the moment that are much good.

    What is the difference between the 40+ balls from different manufacturers? Are the Nittaku Premium 40+, Xushaofa 40+, Double Fish V40+, and DHS D40+ balls all current to today's tournament standards? Are they made with different materials? Do the balls have different characteristics?

    • @binodpawri9132
      @binodpawri9132 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes all these balls you have mentioned are of tournament standards. I have played all the you have mentioned except double fish.
      Although they are made of same material but the quality of the material differs because each brand source the raw material from different companies.
      Yes, there is a clear difference between seamless ball ( xushaofa) and seam ball ( nittaku premium, d40, v40). But both type of balls are really good to play. You just need some time ( 2 sets of match) to get used to the balls of the different type.

    Here is my experience with table tennis balls
    Pongori 1 star: i bought 6 of them last year, pretty cheap i think it was 2 or 3 dollars. Quality was decent like a 6 or 7 out of 10 but they broke pretty fast in less than 3 months i believe. Still a decent option for training
    Artengo 1 star: I have 3 of those and they are pretty good. Spinning could be better but they have a good durability. None of them broke in like 3 months. I dont know the price, i didnt bought them.
    Donic Schildkrot jade (0 stars? Idk): bought a pack of 6 last year for 3 dollars and i think in a few months only 1 broke so that is good durability. Spinning is very nice, but they are a little bit lighter than other balls. Still a solid ball.
    Since im an advanced player lately i should probably go buy a pack of 3 star balls in the future but i still have like 7 balls left so im not rushing. I looked up and they are pretty cheap aswell.
    My recomandation for beginners would be honestly any of those i mentioned up, just avoid those balls without a company on their name. I know they are beginner balls but some of them are pretty shit even for new players. If you can find 1 star balls those are good enough.

    Thanks for the video! Anybody know about the weight difference between 1* and 3*** balls?

    • @pingskills
      @pingskills  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm, I don't believe there should be a weight difference. Generally the 3 star balls are more consistently round and hence bounce more true.

  • @WormReborn
    @WormReborn ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the reguler 3 stars ball bounce different with the training ball? Since the reguler one is harder than training ball. And probably you forget to give us the video about it. Please give me guide to the right path of choosing ball...

    • @pingskills
      @pingskills  ปีที่แล้ว

      In general the 3 star balls are of higher quality and will be more consistent in terms of bounce. However, they are a lot more expensive so if you are incoroparating mulitball into your practice it makes sense to use training balls.

    Where can I find good quality balls? Many on Amazon seem to be fake. I hate Amazon for this reason but I have no idea where to find authentic ping pong balls. Any help is appreciated.

      Try searching for some online table tennis stores. Since these stores only sell table tennis equipment they often have a bigger range.
