  • Here we have a steady motorbike ride through the Black Forest in Germany, on board a VFR800 Vtec. Please don't expect to see any spectacular riding, as the title says, it's just a steady ride, a little humour, and stunning scenery, should you wish to ride it through TH-cam! This is part of a mammoth European tour i did with my Dad did in May 2012.
Please excuse the occasional bad language.

Liked the video and I know it's a bloody nightmare riding when it's really hot. But no gloves and just a tee-shirt is a BIG no no for me as if you have any accident it's not going to end well for the skin 🙄

We fell in love with Germany when we toured there on the FJR last year. It's so clean and tidy! When we transferred from Klotten to Bad Grund in the Harz, it was 40 degrees and because that Friday the school holidays were over plus major roadworks on the Autobahns, our journey turned out to be a real nightmare!

We did over 5000miles, through pissing rain, mega wind, stupid heat, through france, spain, germany, lux, belgium. She didn't skip a beat mate. I love my VFR to bits. All i did before i went was have it serviced (oil n cleaned filter) put a fresh set of RoadSmart II's on and away we went. Gonna drop a set of Mich PR3's on next week, ready for June trip. We are going down through France, into Austria, over the Grossglockner, into Slovenia and down into Croatia. What it was made for.

How did your VFR cope with this trip?
Is there anything that you had done to it before you went?

What did you do? Showing thoroughfare of villages and little cities, instead of Black Forest roads. To riders, the roads should be the important thing, not some old houses. OK, just my opinion as a Black Forest rider.
Some information, regarding your video, which doesn't show Baden-Baden:
Starting point was Gernsbach, leaving Gernsbach direction Loffenau... cut.
Thoroughfare of Loffenau, entering road to Bad Herrenalb, called Käppele, named after mountain pass Käppele (538 m, about 1700 ft). Overtaking by Black Forest rider... cut.
Thoroughfare of Bad Herrenalb, leaving direction Dobel, Bad Wildbad. Showing sections of road between Bad Herrenalb and Eyachtal/Bad Wildbad... cut.
Calmbach, part of Bad Wildbad. You lost your way, because you left road B294, which leads to "Family-Resort Kleinenzhof" ;-)
Best regards from northern Black Forest, with its beautiful roads

You cant drive in the Black forest without seeing villages there. Roads are only there where villages and towns are. In the deep black forest are no roads. There also cant be roads because its a acient old forest, with Mountains, rocks and stuff.

Dude Dude You're right, but for riders only the roads should be the interesting matter. You don't have to show villages in a riding video.
