This guys story is my own spent countless hours as a kid with pigeons just watching them fly or roost. And would you believe my second son now 17 has been in pigeons for 5 years without me even telling him I loved the birds. Lifes a trip .
Recently just have been interested in the hobby on my route I stop pass a guys house and watches his birds everyday I can’t wait till I build a safe coop to start my own flock.
Love this man! I'm quite the same, here in France. I love my rescued pigeons and take great care of them all. People often criticize me, sometimes it hurt, but it don't care. Pigeons are incredible birds, once you get to know them.
Really don't like how some people refer to Pigeons as flying rats. They aren't. I still marvel at their variety of feather patterns. Their variety of colours. And oh don't get me started on the iridescence thing. And their grace. And it's funny, I find their cooing peaceful 🕊🐾

my grandpa and my family have about 60-100 pigeons in our backyard in wonogiri city in indonesia...we built house , bird houses for them..i visited my family in 2016 and spent 2 months in that house..playing everyday with all the pigeons its almost like im in heaven

Watching these beautiful birds flying around is so satisfying. I often go to my roof and see these flocks flying around esp at the time of sunset, it is mesmerising. Where i live people are very fond of these birds and everyday there are upto 15-20 flocks flying around all over the city.

I experienced for a summer when I was about 10 flying birds on Harmon Street and Myrtle ave, B'klyn. Us kids made a shack of a coop but occasionally cats got in and you what happens then. But we bought more with money we begged for from our moms. It was a fun and thrilling experience watching them fly and come back. Really cool...

Im 15 and i have my on pigeons thats what them birds are called ive grew up with them all my life and its my favourite thing to do is be with them it helps me avoid danger in the outside world as a teenager instead of drinking and taking drugs alot of people do it around my local area too

I only had one piqon who had zombie disease and recovered after 4 months and it was so hard to let him go. I still go drop food for him every week. It's really hard to let go of piqon ones you become friends.
I don't know why people are calling Pigeons rats with wings. They're very majestic and intelligent creatures. I respect Dave as I myself is a Pigeon owner.

My dad kept ‘homers’ and ‘flights’ on top of a factory in Williamsburg back in the day. Pigeons get a bad rap but they are special in so many ways.

I raised and raced homing pigeons from 1958 (8 y/o) till 1997. No hobby is better nor more fulfilling than keeping pigeons.

True. Although, if you only have one pet pigeon, free flying probably isn't the best idea since they can easily be killed by a hawk or other raptor.
