Thank you so much! I have been stuck on slicing 3D models for a month and had no clue what the heck to do til I saw ur vid. Other vids showed in blender but those were way too complicated. Thanks 4 showing how to get it down easily. 🥳
Thank you very much... Cannot be better instructions. After watching many other videos about this and still cannot do it... finally I can do it... Cannot thank you enough...
@TechClub I think I may have diagnosed your crashing issue, as I was having a similar problem and I noticed something. Meshmixer only crashes when doing the Boolean union/difference IF I don't press enter after modifying the border rings value. If you're noticing you're crashing consistently when using these two operations, make sure you hit enter before clicking accept. Hope this helps!
This is a great video, only problem I had is my auto-repair of the surface after the cutting the part didn't go smoothly on one side, so I might have to try repairing it in another CAD package
Why does the model keep distorting at the ends after plane cutting? All these videos make it look so simple but every model I upload I have this issue.
hi Why did I cut and slice my model into pieces with Meshmixer and then put the pieces together vertically in Cura, there were approximately 24 pieces that I was able to prepare for printing in 3 times in Cura, i.e. in 3 stl files, my problem is that I printed the first layer It is printed like a net, which means that it is not like my other prints that the first layer is correct, clean and smooth, what is the problem? I have adjusted my models from left to right and horizontal to vertical to fit more in Cura
at the 7:07 mark i really dont know what your doing or saying even with the transcript wasnt making sense and the video wasnt very clear it was hazy maybe its my computer ... so for those that are not versed in meshmixer use intersection curves what did you enter there because i cant make heads or tails of it
I cant for whatever reason do 'target edge scale' to '0.25' without the program locking up and crashing. All the other settings apply, and go through their loading bars. Anyone else have this issue? I am just going between two simple flat objects, with this peg.
ok im being totally thick but at 6.40 when he says we click control to bring up bullion union what is control i cannot progress i understand everything but that step what is he clicking😬🤣
I use mesh mixer all the time these days. Had it for years and I’ve just been exploring what it can do. Didn’t even know how the slice worked. Thanks

Perfect. Useful and right to the point, all things explained. Thanks!
exactly what i was looking for, easy to follow, straight forward no faff! great stuff!
You analyzed everything in one video. neither more nor less. excellent video.
really helpful bud, just getting into printing to save some money, but has now become it own hobby, watched this vid 3 times mow, subscribed and liked
Thanks, very thorough, and funny to boot. Well done. YT doesn't get any better than this.
Excellent video! This is exactly what I needed. Very clear and concise.
Probably one of the best tutorial on this topic!! Thanks mate!

I was having the same issues and this fixed it for me, thanks!
YAASSSSSSSS hot damn it YAASSSSSSSS 😊
Bro you just saved me an absolute headache, so glad I read the comments, THANK YOU!
Legend cheers!
Perfect Video! thanks a bunch was trying for the life of me to add connection pegs for a helmet I had to split in half to print on my resin printers.
Extremely helpful, exactly what I was looking for, thanks
Awesomre! this is very helpful for intro printers like me👍
Amazing tutorial! As a begininger in the 3d printing world this was awesome!
Super helpful! Really Appreciate the help :D
This is extremely helpful, exactly the information I’ve been looking for
Concise and well explained. Kudos
Great video super informative
Great video man 👌
Brilliant, thanks so much.
Just the video I need perfect. thank you 👍
AMAZING!!!! This has helped me so much. Thanks a lot.
Thank you want to print 1:1000 star trek ships on my Mono X2 and yours is the video i was looking for
simple and right to the point!
gracias compadre! great video!
finally cracked it now need to learn multiple splits from same model
This is a great video, only problem I had is my auto-repair of the surface after the cutting the part didn't go smoothly on one side, so I might have to try repairing it in another CAD package
Great video! This may be a stupid question but how would I scale the different parts to still fit together before I print?
Put them in a slicer and scale them by a percent, then they will all match after resize
Ahh thank you!!
Great tutorial !
thank youuu!
Love this tutorial. Sadly is crashes every time for me when doing the union. So frustrating
Why does the model keep distorting at the ends after plane cutting? All these videos make it look so simple but every model I upload I have this issue.
Thanks!
I cant seem to find the Boolean options. when i select multiple objects the little window appears but the Boolean options are absent
How is your "WORK AREA" huge in mesh mixer?
Your the best

Did you resize one of your locator pins? and if yes how much (mm) did you substract/add to one of the pin?
he did it by 1 mm, with the transform settings and he dent show it but had already did it here 7:54.
0.1 mm he said, for a resin printer that’s probably good. For fdm I’d do a much bigger pin and probably .2-.3mm tolerance for good bonding.

Hey, when i click boolean difference, it deletes the model and keeps the pin, not the other way round?
ahhh, i select body first then pin! Fixed
Your selecting the wrong model first,

18 on the male part and 17 on the female part? Is that intentional, or should they both have been 18? @TechClub
I think both 18 but wont make much difference
intentional 2 18s is going to be tight but a 17 and 18 fits in easier that sounds really bad if you dont know what were talking about
where'd uou get that file?
This one was from a Facebook group called halo ground command
Do you have a link to the stl?
Go on Facebook and type in halo ground command look for a group there on there
.6 on the arm pin is throwing me off that is so small and my arm pin becomes VERY small
@@samburns4761 make it bigger or use another shape
Im going to miss Meshmixer.
Urgh, dunno why I'm finding it so hard trying to remove heads from models :(
Over 500 likes!

Both parts need to be solid, otherwise it doesn’t show up.
yup mine crashed lol
