Atlas mikes been really producing this year for me , also the flesh coloured addicted with some shrimp scent has been working good as well, the first year for me that I would say it’s my overall favourite so far… as I do love my Berkley power eggs … cheers buddy another good video!
Thank you Brent! The Mike's has been doing really well for me too! But I think that's due to the cooler water and weather we have been having. Tight lines!
The power eggs in my area are the powerbait sense and a very unknown rig I use a Carolina rig with a hook with salmon eggs on the bottom and a hook on top with powerbait.
Do you float the natural eggs up off the bottom when doing a Carolina rig? I thought they didn’t float. When I was a kid we would do a white mini marshmallow with two pautski eggs. Great video!
@@WillyFish I find some eggs have a fairly neutral buoyancy after certain depths…. Natural eggs of course but not all, but of course depends on hook size etc… wouldn’t ya say Will ? I normally just use a lil corky as well if I’m not float fishing …. Cheers guys , let me know if you have seen that to, some naturally floating eggs in certain depths

Great tip Daisan!
So what do you recommend for beginner steelhead fishing
I like bobber and jig or bobber and worms. Keep it simple, learn the water, then get more into eggs and other baits

There are ways to float the eggs off the bottom (add a small corky). But I have had times where the eggs can semi-float

@@Brent5o6B I would 100% agree. Location, water conditions and the hook all play into the eggs floating! Tight lines Brent!

I got gang r3ayped by migrants trout fishing last year. Im just now getting the courage up to get back out there.
You should had differentiate the real eggs from artificial, cause for fly fisherman we can’t use real salmon eggs. We can only rig artificial eggs.😢
