Shot with Sony a7III and Rode Smartlav+ mic mounted on the rear bumper. The engine is a B5234T3, everything stock except the MBC Valve and a Magnaflow exhaust.

They still are great, I have a V70 gen 1 and a new Volvo is so much better and they are so well put toghether, it is a pity they don´t make the fabulous I5 sound but their tourqe and power curves make up for it.

The 5 cylinders from Audi and Volvo are very nice. Even factory stock the T5 engines have such a nice engine note. Been driving one of them since last year and I can say nothing else but that I am proud of the car.
@@QualityFeelings Hey, Alex. Did you know that VW produced the T5 engine for the diesel version of these Volvos? It is the same engine block as the one found in the Vw LT, only it has a lot more material built into it that is, it is overengineered specially for Volvo. Which means that if one drives an Audi Urs4 or Urs6 C4 2.2 turbo AAN engine code, one can swap engine blocks with a Volvo diesel 2.5 liter version called D2525T together with its crankshaft and install a stroker kit made out of conrods and fully equipped pistons, thus building a 2.5 liter 20 valve turbo gasoline stroker engine! These cars are truly unique, fun and amazing! Don't ever sell yours. 💪🏻 😎 😍

One of the greatest engine ever built the T-5 so reliable and fast, I own a 2006 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD, with 325,000 km and still going strong, Volvo for life.

I have a Cabriolet C70 T5 and i love it with the top down blasting through the desterted towns at night THESE ENGINES ROCK!
My brother had 2 of these and his black one had manual conversion, forged internals, uprated 19t turbo, front mounted intercooler with twin fans, full turbo back exhaust and remapped ecu.....chased M5s all day long, now he's got a 450hp rwd volvo 940 2.3 redblock turbo!

Sounds a hell of a lot like a viper with factory exhaust, But with more cracklies and pops.
V10s and 5 cylinder engines sound somewhat similar, in the way V6 and V12 sound similar.

5 cylinder engines have the same firing order as V10s, just half the cylinder count

My XC-70 screams after a 3” snabb downpipe, Elevate tune, NP boosted coils, upgraded silicone turbo/air charge/throttle hoses, Borla 3” resonators, 304 3” stainless exhaust to connect.
But I didn’t replace my cam & crank seals first, so now they are bitching about it and slow leaking oil. Weds she goes to the mechanic for looks.
Now I’m committed and there’s no turning back! 197,000 miles and I’m showing Mustangs, VW’s and WRX’s who the real Road Warrior is. Basking in their humiliation of getting bested by a wagon..

An 850 manual is the 8th wonder of the world.
This is one of the videos I showed a EV enthusiast friend of mine trying to explain to him why I like engines and not EV’s.
His exact words were “Its just obnoxious noise that will soon be in the past”. Then he started crowing on about EVs having instant torque and what Elon Musks taint must taste like or something. To be honest I started turning him out after a bit.

If other people dig them go for it. I personally find them mind numbingly boring and I have no interest in them. I have tried to like them but to me being excited about a EV is being excited over a vacuum cleaner.
My intent wasn’t trying to get my friend to dislike EV I was only trying to explain to him via him asking me what is it about internal combustion vehicles I love so much. An he just doesn’t get it and I don’t get his love for Ev’s. That’s all.
@@FSAPOJakeI hate people saying ICE cars are a thing of thr past, just because they dont like it. I dont mind EVs, they serve their purpose just like any other car, but i hate the mentality and entitlement of those driving them. And I fear that they will eventually forbid what i like.
EV enthusiasts are hardly ever actual car enthusiasts. If they were, they would lament the passing of a legacy as rich as that of the internal combustion engine.
EV enthusiasts are usually snobs, hung up on efficiency and saving the earth of greenhouse gases. Like new car production would ever save the planet, no matter what they’re powered by.
Ev’s are ok and the future yes (a total shame by the way but)
But battery cars aren’t, there a short term distraction of the mindless gluten free veagen fuck pigs with no ability to form there own opinion only to obey the opinion of the mass herd of sheep,
Not only that why the fuck a ev’s so fucking ugly, absolutely no style or “sexy” curves, angles or lines on any of them so pathetic to think that a car thats practically a skateboard with a body on top, That they cant make them look good,

i had a Volvo 850 turbo 1995 - i never took it over 80 mph. Kept it for 22 years until i got tired of fixing it. I gave it to my brother in law along with a list of everything that was wrong with it. He sold it "as is" for 400 dollars.

I have an XC70 with an Elevate 3" cat back stainless exhaust, I only wish it sounded this good! Also threw a stage 1 chip in it, lots of all wheel drive fun!

@@sawilson56 got a 16T turbo and a full 3" exhaust - still no pops or bangs, but it sounds mighty.
The entire exhaust from downpipe to the rear muffler cost me about 400€.
@@fantaju1ce Nice! Expensive lol. I'm on the stock 15g with a Magnaflow muffler. I think I still have a cat, so decat coming soon. I hope that makes it pop a lot more. I'll upload updates for sure :) Tune is another thing too, I'd look into that next
@@sawilson56 The car had already been tuned in Finland, before I bought it. A new tune for the new exhaust and turbo wouldn't hurt though. The exhaust I had made, has a high-flow cat, but that's so it can stay legal.
I had to replace the 15G because it was completely knackered, smoked like a train. And then why not go for an upgrade turbo that doesn't put fear in me that I might blow the engine.
@@fantaju1ce I feel ya there lol. I'm building my engine soon. Shooting for 350-400 wheel. Looking at a 19t or k24/k26. Definitely getting launch control, anti lag, and plenty of pops and bangs. At least, that's the goal at the moment
