I'm going to make you even more homesick. We saw them last night at the Birchmere where they were the opening act for the Fabulous Thunderbirds. He had different lead guitarist and bass, who were faaaaaaaaaantastic.
What a great track from the Nighthawks. Have seen these fellows at least 8 times between D.C. and Florida over the years. This is a great track to do my exercises in the morning with. A really lively cut.
Lookin forward to hearing them tonight at Blind Willies here in Atlanta...bean awhile since I've seen em....time to rock with their blues chainsaw!.....yeee haaa!! bring it
Mark is fabulous....It's interesting that the same affluent white suburban neighborhood produced four excellent blues harp players--Mark, Bruce Ewan, Pierre Beauregard and Bret Littlehales, and two excellent blues guitarists--Bobby Radcliff and Jimmy Thackery...
Always great to hear anything the Nighthawks do long time follower from the times at the Reading Goal to latenites at the Place Louie Dwells(DC) (Louie's Rock Citylater in VA
Stumbled upon these guys in Washington DC in 1979-1980. Been a fan ever since.
