I saw these guys quite often in the late 1960s. It was really a shame that Bo was not drawing well and generally ignored back then. As you can hear Bo was a much better guitarist than most folks realize. As a guitarist I can tell you it is not easy at all to do what he does. Playing note lines and chord leads while maintaining that rhythmic beat. You try it! Bo was a master showman. It was really a shame when he could no longer afford to keep his full review going. Folks really couldn't just sit in seats, because those guys made you dance.
It is sorry that he was one of the most underrated black musicians but he was known for playing his cigar box guitar which one of my grandson's School teachers made him when he was in fourth grade how cool is that
I had the unique opportunity to see Bo Diddley for the last time in 2005 in a park in Poughkeepsie where there was only about 300 people. Needless to say I went right up Center stage and there were two little black girls right next to me and I was singing and dancing and I told them how to dance they were only six and seven and we were rocking and he was rocking and we had a wonderful time. He did one of his classic songs I don't remember which one but the price of gas in 2005 was over $3.75 so he changed the words to reflect that in one of his classical songs. AMAZING PERFORMANCE AND AN AMAZING NIGHT
I purchased the CD this is for hardcore fans this is pure bo's beat chucks is just as good chucks beat is awesome this CD is cool these men are the forefathers of rock and roll they brought enjoyment to. Many people back in the day
Saw Bo 4 times....signed my guitar....some of the most exciting guitar work ever! Chucks beat is maybe even better! The album ...Two Great Guitars is fantastic!
There is a feral back to roots human communal reassurance to this music, it has a improvisation groove going on- I'm more of a Bo Diddley that is only down to personal preference man. thank you for posting
What do mean they ain’t around no more? I can hear them right now. Like Dicky Betts and all the others, their all still around. Just Listen. Can you hear em.
I was drinking beer and I had quite a nice buzz going on but when you are dancing as much as I was you do not get drunk you burn off all the alcohol which is great
It's Willie Dixon's hand. If you type Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Willie Dixon and Little Richard on Google Images, the whole picture (taken from the documentary Hail Hail Rock'n'roll, celebrating Chuck's 60th anniversary) will be the first result to show up.
This was recorded on March 26th 1964 (or in April of 1964). The drummer was most likely Billy Downing (one of Bo's drummer), but it could also have been Edell Robertson (another one of Bo's drummer during that time). The bass player was probably Jesse James Johnson, but it could also have been Chester Lindsey (both bassists worked with Bo at the time). Other musicians are Jerome Green (Bo's maracas player), an unknown tambourine player and the legendary Lafayette Leake on piano. Hope this helps.
...train arrive... vous savez maintenant pourquoi cette musique est le "boogie"... si vous poussez plus loin vous avez la musique "surf" n'est ce pas les Deltones ?
I've always been a fan of Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley. When this LP came out I bought a copy immediately. I was disappointed. It's just a disjointed jam session and shows neither of their talents. This is the first time I've listened to it in fifty years, and my opinion hasn't changed. Poor.
One of the greatest jams in human history!

Great great stuff. How many other rock 'n rollers were putting extended jams on record in 1964? Any??
This is everything.
I'd like to see a video of both Bo and Chuck together performing on stage . But this is good too . Lovin' it !
I don't know if such exists, but Bo and Tom Petty performing Mona is class.
It exists. Saw it a couple months ago. It’s a classic
@@rogerbriggs9802 I'll agree with that.
OMG - the greats 💖💖💖

Wish there was live footage 👍
This is awesome
GAWD A’MIGHTY!!!!
Si CHUCK et BO n'avaient pas été là est-ce que CHESS RECORDS aurait vécu aussi longtemps ? Grand merci aux deux grands héros, pour l'éternité !
HEY! NEVER HEARD THIS ONE, COOL
CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042 USA
Check Bo s guitar on 'Crackin' up'
I play this on my phone here in Denny's every time the song comes on their big jukebox. So I hear four guitars.
Wow, that's brilliant, I'm gonna give that a try. Seems like a hard task to get them synced though
Yeah They’re Still Around,believe me.
A couple of chessmen. They had albums together even though their styles were different. Bo could write pretty like Chuck. Simple melodic and fun
This is badass gota have it is it on cd
Sheer brilliance
i am honored to be the first to comment on this masterpiece. great beer drinking music

does that massive hand on Bo's left shoulder belong to the Wolf?
wilmusic2 Chuck Berry’s

This is Bo Berry nChuck Diddley…….?.
👍👍😁😁
I live in the woods and I play this all the time on my Sony loud speaker f...ck me it's pukka
Curse the ad in the middle of this jam. I find it disrespectful to Bo and Chuck and their collaborators.
We all know what Chuck and Bo can do but who is this drummer?

I hear Chuck's guitar but Bo Diddley is kind of subdued in most of this. It should have been video .

I Love This Groove maybe I should listen to more of both of their albums and I will appreciate them more
