None one of those guys work for Elf Audio. Elf Audio is just one dev, Marek, that uses independent contractors for help sometimes. This whole community are just fans. And to label an entire Facebook group as toxic based on the behavior of a few members, would be like labeling your entire channel as toxic based on a few of your livestreams. This! This is one of many reasons I have decade old TH-cam channels and no new content. I left facebook over drama, I don't come here for it, but I listen. I bought the koala app after Ave's video reviewing it, then I watched this one, only to feel bad about supporting them, only to find out, it's people outside the development of the app. Some people "gravitate" towards drama, not even meaning to. If I don't fuck around and make content, I'll never find out if people are predominately cynical or supportive. I am both... I am so supportive of cynical people that don't support the agenda of the enemy. There is a spiritual battle for our souls, regardless of our beliefs. This is why I have become cynical about people that support counter productive products produced by companies slowly trying to enslave us, under their corporate thumbs. I’m not very active on there but I do know that it’s only one guy making the app. He’s a solid dude who’s bringing high quality product to people for cheap and he’s always respectful. Just a heads up - those contributors are not employees I believe, elf audio is just one dude. I'm not sure why it's called an official fb group. Possibly the guy running the show let them make it an official group because as a one man band he doesn't have time for that, but it's anyones guess. It's not a company that the comments are from, it's a private Facebook group. The link you put to the group goes to Short URL website and not the actual group. Don't know if the group has been removed or not but it's not the company.

I’m pretty sure the main person who works on Koala Sampler is Marek Bereza, considering he’s the persona credited on the app store and the main person who shows up in the elf audio yt channel. This Scott Williams guy most likely doesn’t work for elf audio and most likely never will. So nah, it’s just the community being assholes, not the actual developers. EDIT: I don’t agree with what you said in the description about not supporting elf audio. Seems pretty petty to me. Honestly when I saw your video, you made some good points and said some positive things about it, but overall it came off like you were generally being slightly dismissive, and the thumbnail of the vid had you looking skeptically at the app with your eyebrow raised. I’ve appreciated your videos for a long time but I do think you’ve over reacted to a few posters on a Facebook channel. To suggest that they are representative of elf audio is akin to saying that all your 128k subscribers represent you. I’m a big fan of koala and I love my Mpc one, there is plenty of room for both. I don’t subscribe to that Facebook group but I am on the discord group and find the koala community pretty helpful and not judgemental.

I think it’s worth noting that Elf Audio is one person. People on social media don’t represent Elf Audio, and Marek (the sole owner/employee of Elf Audio) is too busy living his life, and developing his app, to monitor everything being said on the internet about his app, or about you tube content creators. Let's throw in another example also using 'they're ' as I expect you struggle with that one, too. They're a youtuber, who likes to use their mpc, the one over there. I'm new to your channel, a Koala user and I really enjoyed your video where you tried out Koala and compared it to the MP. I thought it was more than fair and I learned some things about the Akai that I didn't know. For some reason in life, it seems that 4 or 5 negative folks stand out more than the dozens of positive ones. It's like a messed up law of physics. But I want to say that I'd love to see you do more Koala videos, as you continue to learn more about how to use it. It doesn't appear the developer himself is at fault. I encourage you not to give up on the software. We support you. Keep on making those great videos!

I don't think these were Elf Audio employees, but there is a bit of a sycophantic behavior in the Koala group. I don't think the main developer indulges into these sorts of situations, too. My gripe with the video is that it was slightly rushed, didn't look like you got into the full swing of things, but it wasn't particularly disparaging to the app as well. As someone who uses this app regularly, I do urge you to spend more time with it, because it's a good tool in specific situations. No need to shame anyone for their gear-preference either way, think that was a bit too far.
@@AveMcreereason studios is software that has history and talented users that actually make music/full songs for the past 20+ years. Koala is great for making Beats when your taking a Crap or waiting in a lineup to kill time! It's a fun app but not a game changer.

I've tried a lot of iPhone/iPad apps over the year (including Akai ones) and Koala is far, far more fun and impressive than pretty much any other I've seen. I'd 1000% recommend it to anyone especially new people wanting to get into beatmaking because a) they probably have a phone capable of running it already and b) it's $15 frickin dollars! I bet enough kids drop hundreds and hundreds of dollars on SP404s and MPCs etc before giving up for whatever reason

So in saying all of this, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one caught off guard. So in my mind, I was like , well ok let’s have it. I can always learn something new or let’s see how Ave approach it. Broke people that can’t afford a MPC or tried a MPC will swear koala sound better than a MPC . I swore koala sounded better than anything on earth until I got a MPC and realized when you make a beat from scratch using drums and instruments from sound packs they come out thin . Take those exact drums and instruments use it on a MPC and they sound beefy high quality.

I’ve been making music since 1991! I’m 50 years old! I’ve stayed low key in the cut like neo sporran steady rocking! It’s been a long ride my peeps! I’ve learned countless lessons along the way! Most important is to never break or bend your true self! That is if you’re a good grounded person! There’s so much to learn it’s best to stay humble! This all comes in time tho! A big rule that help me is the rule of 48 hours in which any problem can be resolved or forgotten within! Thats a online cult app community. Most of them probably only ever felt a touch screen and querty keyboard. Their save and grace for being in the space without breaking their bank. Im honest and not biased. Nothings better besides it being mobile with the convience of size and external wires. Even with that said my laptop is super slim, touch screen, folds all the way back to tablet size...could just use a computer daw and have all it offers and then some. I used too much software to be impressed. I have the sp404, roland fantom, all the new damn mpcs, korg, yamaha. Doesnt beat the tacktile feel and each have unique workflows. The cool app train already left. Most of the time these things become abandonware. Theres only like 3 apps that stand out.

If anything I feel like you use to be more like how Weaver is now in terms of calling peoples content out and trying to be a “truth seeker”. This! This is one of many reasons I have decade old TH-cam channels and no new content. I left facebook over drama, I don't come here for it, but I listen. I bought the koala app after Ave's video reviewing it, then I watched this one, only to feel bad about supporting them, only to find out, it's people outside the development of the app. Some people "gravitate" towards drama, not even meaning to. If I don't fuck around and make content, I'll never find out if people are predominately cynical or supportive.

I’ve appreciated your videos for a long time but I do think you’ve over reacted to a few posters on a Facebook channel. To suggest that they are representative of elf audio is akin to saying that all your 128k subscribers represent you. I’m a big fan of koala and I love my Mpc one, there is plenty of room for both. I don’t subscribe to that Facebook group but I am on the discord group and find the koala community pretty helpful and not judgemental.

I'm new to your channel, a Koala user and I really enjoyed your video where you tried out Koala and compared it to the MP. I thought it was more than fair and I learned some things about the Akai that I didn't know. For some reason in life, it seems that 4 or 5 negative folks stand out more than the dozens of positive ones. It's like a messed up law of physics. But I want to say that I'd love to see you do more Koala videos, as you continue to learn more about how to use it. It doesn't appear the developer himself is at fault. I encourage you not to give up on the software. We support you. Keep on making those great videos!

I don't think these were Elf Audio employees, but there is a bit of a sycophantic behavior in the Koala group. I don't think the main developer indulges into these sorts of situations, too.
My gripe with the video is that it was slightly rushed, didn't look like you got into the full swing of things, but it wasn't particularly disparaging to the app as well.
As someone who uses this app regularly, I do urge you to spend more time with it, because it's a good tool in specific situations.

I've tried a lot of iPhone/iPad apps over the year (including Akai ones) and Koala is far, far more fun and impressive than pretty much any other I've seen. I'd 1000% recommend it to anyone especially new people wanting to get into beatmaking because a) they probably have a phone capable of running it already and b) it's $15 frickin dollars! I bet enough kids drop hundreds and hundreds of dollars on SP404s and MPCs etc before giving up for whatever reason

Ave , I appreciate everything you do. I been following your channel for about 3yrs now. I’m not gonna lie, you did catch me off guard when you had Koala 😂, I almost thought I had the wrong channel 😂. So in saying all of this, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one caught off guard. So in my mind, I was like , well ok let’s have it. I can always learn something new or let’s see how Ave approach it. At the end of the day, it’s a tool for music people, What are we talking about……….,this Shit is too much. As far as the Koala Developer ……..he’s a cool person. Broke people that can’t afford a MPC or tried a MPC will swear koala sound better than a MPC . I swore koala sounded better than anything on earth until I got a MPC and realized when you make a beat from scratch using drums and instruments from sound packs they come out thin . Take those exact drums and instruments use it on a MPC and they sound beefy high quality.

No matter what,, people are toxic and you’ll have to decide if you want to be around that kind of style! Don’t be afraid to walk the path alone at times! A big rule that help me is the rule of 48 hours in which any problem can be resolved or forgotten within! Meaning the problem you have in the moment will be replaced or forgotten so don’t bug out as much! Collaborate with like minded artist in your area! Do or Don’t there is no Try! Last but not least, try not drinking at all! It’s a big waste of time trust me!

Thats a online cult app community. Most of them probably only ever felt a touch screen and querty keyboard. Their save and grace for being in the space without breaking their bank.
Im honest and not biased. Nothings better besides it being mobile with the convience of size and external wires. Even with that said my laptop is super slim, touch screen, folds all the way back to tablet size...could just use a computer daw and have all it offers and then some.
I used too much software to be impressed. I have the sp404, roland fantom, all the new damn mpcs, korg, yamaha. Doesnt beat the tacktile feel and each have unique workflows. The cool app train already left. Most of the time these things become abandonware. Theres only like 3 apps that stand out.

I’ve been watching you before I started watching Weaver. I am a fan of both. Comparing the content is like comparing the battle of DAW vs Groove box. If anything I feel like you use to be more like how Weaver is now in terms of calling peoples content out and trying to be a “truth seeker”.
