- UPDATE HERE • False Imprisonment UPD...
So visited this hotel in Essex , let them know what I was doing. Then found a different building which at 1st I wasn't sure if it was the same place or even being used. Security approach fast and detain me saying I've committed an offence. When 3 arrive I ring 999 myself and Essex Police arrive within 5 minutes thank god.

Amazingly I stayed at this place when it was a hotel open to paying guests. Was not a bad place to stay. It is a huge establishment. Obviously now a dump run by an out of control management with specific residents only.

I sadly lost my wife recently thus lost my job due to severe stress. I cannot find a job and now I am am losing my house as cannot pay the mortgage. How the fuck are all these hotels full of non english, residents or workers when I cannot even get benefit even though had a lifetime of paying into the pot. So annoying wtf!

Those police were clearly struggling on a basic level if they cannot spot the perpetrator/s of a crime.
There was no crime committed. Speaking as a lawyer, as long as they did not have any physical contact or locked door preventing him leaving, then there is no false imprisonment. Them simply saying they will stop him leaving is not enough evidence. It would not stand in court.

The police were absolutely useless. They arrest people for causing offense without any proof of intent but they do nothing for verbal threat of assault for trying to leave. Assault, is unwanted physical contact. What they did was a citizens arrest and the law states that a person can only do an arrest for an indictable offense. The police are an absolute joke. They do not apply the law equally. If you are a radical lefty, person of colour or follow a certain religion then the police always take the least amount of action against them compared to if all other people were accused of the same acts. The majority are literally treated the worst and i myself have been a victim many times and always had cases dropped without even having the decency to inform me. Only when i have followed up myself to then be told a case was closed. The police are earning more hate from the majority that's for sure.
If you let this go you're letting your subscribers down, you need to act, even if you do a private prosecution, you just can't let this go.

Submit a complaint to the copper's supervisor about his failure to take the offence seriously, remember the police's favourite gotcha is to say someone was feeling "harassed, alarmed or distressed" before nicking you, and false imprisonment definitely left you in that position.
There is no way that the ordinary person in the street wouldn't have felt harassment, alarm & distress in those circumstances. Pity DJE didn't state this during his call.
